King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 684 - 684 676 Undead Dungeon

Chapter 684: Chapter 676: Undead Dungeon Chapter 684: Chapter 676: Undead Dungeon At this moment, the Xena Pus was still sailing over the sea. However, Muria could see the outline of land in her line of sight. It was a green-covered continent that appeared full of life.

“How can its released power influence me from such a distance? It is unbelievable. How do creatures living there survive? Could it be that they’re all undead?” Muria contemplated.

“Your Majesty, we need to send people to take care of it. We can’t let those vengeful spirits rampage any longer,” the Dragonborn maid, Mia, proposed.

“No need, I’ll handle it,” Muria waved her hand.

“Your Majesty, these are just some low-grade undead. It was my dereliction of duty to let this news reach your ear. If I still let you handle it, then I am utterly incompetent,” Mia explained.

“Xena Pus is gradually approaching the Obistro Continent. From now on, more and more undead will breed in the lower cloud islands so there must be a powerful enough force to suppress them once and for all,” Mia continued.

Muria consoled the somewhat tense little maidservant with a smile. The birth of vengeful spirits happened through resentment from creatures combining with souls of the dead.

As long as repression and exploitation exist in Xena Pus, such resentments will not disappear. In the past, the power of Cloud City alone could digest these resentments and prevent the birth of vengeful spirits. Currently, due to Xena Pus’ close proximity to this special domain, it catalyzed the creation of things that should not exist in the first place.

Muria stood up and held an axe spear that was taller than her body, the Army-breaking Halberd, a weapon she rarely uses.

Therefore, Muria decided to use it to suppress the lower cloud islands. Thunder and Flames in the shape of a dragon appeared on the weapon. Muria took a deep breath and then, with a violent throw, launched it.

Upon the burst of thunder, the atmosphere around Wind King Castle was instantly forced open. The Cloud Giants stationed around the castle kneeled on the ground, awed by this immense power.

Under the gazes of these giants, a large golden rainbow flew out from the Central Cloud Island. After making a curve, it directly descended to the lowest level of the Cloud Island.

In its descent, the axe spear continuously expanded, finally a gigantic axe spear of 150 meters height plunged straight into the center of the bottommost Cloud Island of Xena Pus, causing no extra damage.

Golden ripples carrying Muria’s power overflowed from the axe spear, sweeping around it. The black smoke, invisible to mortals, grew from the ground and vanished in the air, echoing faint wails.

This was the birth of undead from the resentment of criminals oppressed by Muria. They should not have inflicted any harm on Xena Pus. But due to external forces, these vengeful spirits were born. Luckily, due to their small size, these vengeful spirits only have the power to interfere with the divine will and have not caused real casualties.

“Disgusting breath,” Muria muttered, her actions causing a commotion in the Cloud City above. Two rays of light fell towards Wind King Castle.

“Mija!” Muria, seeing the first female blazing sky god descendant who came out, showed a warm smile, her attitude exemplary. But when she looked at the majestic man behind Michaela, her face instantly hardened. The sudden change was almost like writing “I don’t welcome you” on her face.

However, for Muria’s attitude, Irvicester, the man behind Mija, did not care at all. He was used to it.

“What kind of madness just came over you? Throwing weapons at your own Cloud Island, do you think these islands are too many? Want to shatter a few? If you find them redundant, you can give some to me.”

This Blazing Sky God Descendant did not hide his covetousness for these floating islands, which he reckoned could be transformed into a floating city and serve as an excellent protective fortress surrounding his Cloud City.

“You’re overthinking.” Muria’s lips curled faintly. He noted this once exemplary paragon of virtue, his brother-in-law, recently having grown uncharacteristically thick-skinned, he wondered who he learned it from.

“Undead appeared on my Cloud Island, so I threw down a weapon to suppress them.” Seeing the puzzled look on Michaela’s face, Muria explained.

“Even with Cloud City here, your Cloud Island still manages to harbor undead. Have you been up to mischief again?” Irvicester squinted at Muria. He knew this guy had been dabbling into forbidden research. He had reportedly commanded a legendary-level demon, whom, he’d heard, had now been dispatched to a different world.

“It’s not my fault, it has nothing to do with me.” Muria rolled his eyes. “Environmental changes happened. Xena Pus is nearing the Obistro Continent. The strength of that land is affecting my Cloud Island, hence the manifestation of some subpar undead.”

“Obistro Continent, I’ve been there.” Irvicester stroked his chin. “Apart from the surface, the entire underworld of the continent is home to the undead. Disciples of the Death God are quite active there. Moreover, the faith in kind gods, those with the power to cleanse the undead, is not bad either. Are you headed towards that subcontinent?”

“Indeed.” Muria glanced at his brother-in-law. “I’ve heard that the underground of that continent has been hollowed out by the undead. It’s filled with caves, some reportedly populated by notorious Great Liches. These Great Liches are known for their collecting whims. They’d go mad if they saw you.”

Muria jested with malicious delight. Over the years, the discord between him and Irvicester had intensified. There had been several opportunities for a truce. Still, due to their evasive temperaments, each attempt ended in mutual displeasure.

“You might have misconstrued something, Muria. If we indeed encounter a Great Lich with a collecting fetish, your attraction would absolutely surpass mine. After all, you are the unique hybrid of Titan and Dragon, while I am a descendant of the eight-winged Blazing Sky Gods. We may be few, but not one of a kind. If we confront a demi-god Lich, you’d be in trouble before me.”

“Hmph!” Muria snorted, unable to refute his words. “After I find the exile Giant Dragon on that subcontinent, I plan to explore the Undead Dungeon underground. Interested?”

“Of course, I’m interested. Purging the wicked undead is our inherent duty.”

“Sounds impressive. Then why don’t your Blazing Sky God descendants deploy en masse and cleanse the Undead Dungeon under that continent?” Doubt appeared on Muria’s face. Honestly, he was startled when he first accessed information about the Obistro Subcontinent.

“There are too many impediments. The undead beneath the Obistro Continent can’t be purified.” Irvicester’s brow furrowed, a hint of annoyance showing on his face. “We, the Blazing Sky God Race, can only suppress them.”

“You’re all heading to the Undead Dungeon? Count me in. By the way, I’ve heard that the most notorious thing about the Obistro Subcontinent is the Undead Cataclysm. Allegedly, when the Cataclysm descends, the entire continent becomes a realm of the dead.”

“The ninth-grade spell from the necromancy series, the Undead Cataclysm, is created to emulate this continent-wide undead catastrophe. However, it’s nowhere near a real disaster.”

Michaela spoke enthusiastically. This was why she was intrigued by this main world, brimming with diverse and dangerous forbidden zones.
