Chapter 669 - 669 662 Beat if Disobedient

Chapter 669: Chapter 662: Beat if Disobedient Chapter 669: Chapter 662: Beat if Disobedient “Do I have the right to refuse?”

“Regrettably, it seems not.” Muria shook his head with a smile.

“Let’s make a contract then.” Being a legendary mage, Ivan Oherobeskin chose to live and give up his freedom rather than die. A thousand years might seem a long time, but it also presents a chance to turn things around. And since this dragon seemed to possess a remarkable status, the situation might represent an unusual opportunity. So, Ivan comforted himself.

“I like dealing with intelligent people. It’s so comfortable,” Muria said, his grin widening at the mage’s submission. He quickly drafted the contract, arbitrarily designating a lawful good god with powerful divine force as the witness for the contract; this detail seemed irrelevant.

The terms of the contract were simple and direct, stating that the mage was to serve Muria for a thousand years, after which he would be freed. Muria had no interest in playing word games with a mage.

Even many powerful devil lords often failed when they tried to outwit mages. Muria preferred using his fists. Coercing the mage into his service for a thousand years was the most straightforward way to go. After a thousand years, there was no guarantee he would still be in the material world, as he might have entered the void by then.

Legendary Mage Ivan Oherobeskin established a contract with Muria without any expression. He then silently stood behind Muria.

“Ivan!” Seeing the sacrifice their companion made, the other members of the adventurer troupe – the Wanderer and Priests – had painful expressions. Each of them held a gravely injured member of their team and intended to leave, preparing to look for assistance.

“When did I allow you to leave?” Muria watched these two legends who were prepared to leave with their severely injured companions with a strange expression.

“Didn’t you say you would spare us?” asked the priest, turning around with a bit of angered frustration.

“Didn’t I? Aren’t you both still alive?” Muria said confidently. Behind him, the legendary mage remained silent. He had long deduced that while Muria did let them live, he had no intention of letting them leave. However, any protest was useless. Muria was more powerful than them, and failures to comply would result in death. Their only option was to follow his will to stay alive. Therefore, the legendary mage didn’t see a point to object.

“What do you want?”

“Serve me! I currently lack sufficient followers, so you two are lucky. I may not let you join me once I gather enough followers.” Muria replied smilingly.

“…” The two legendary adventurers kept silent. They couldn’t beat Muria, nor escape from him. Their companions had been seriously injured, and one had already become a servant-like existence to their enemy. What else could they do but submit?

“So you also want us to sign a contract with you.”

“That won’t be necessary. Just hold still.” Muria held the Spear of the Sun Chaser and lightly tapped the arms of the two legendary adventurers. Then a tattoo similar to a golden bolt of lightning appeared on their arms.

“Okay, that will do.” Muria sensed that the Spear of the Sun Chaser had left a mark on these two humans. He nodded contently. Now, he could find them no matter where they fled.

This is the mark!” The Wanderer raised his arm, staring at the mark on it. He had the chance to dodge just now, but he held back for the sake of his companions. This was the bond among humans.

The main reason being that Muria, showing his golden dragon identity, held a great attraction for him. He could believe in Muria’s words even though the golden dragon seemed quite different from regular ones.

“Ivan, take your teammates over there and report to a dragonkin girl named Mia. Tell her I sent you, and she’ll arrange everything for you.” Muria was in high spirits after forcing the adventurer troop into submission. He gave the coordinates of their current location to the legendary mage and asked him to report to Mia.

“My name is Ivan, no “big” attached.” Ivan retorted upon hearing Muria’s address.

“I like calling you that.”

Ivan twitched the corner of his mouth, and, along with his companions, cast a group teleportation spell, ripping through space to leave directly.

Watching the legendary adventurers leave, Muria turned his gaze to the crystal ancient dragon silently recovering in the ice below. He descended and calmly gazed at the dragon.

“Don’t indiscriminately kill innocent humans.”

“Humans are nothing but ants. I intend to exterminate millions of them, making them pay the price for my offspring’s deaths.” The dragon, as flawless as if it had been meticulously crafted out of crystal, lifted its head and stared at the young man with black hair and golden pupils standing on top of its head. The voice she made was thick, filled with endless hatred.

Muria didn’t respond, but simply threw a punch downward. The physical force of it directly slammed the dragon’s head into a nearby crevice, making it look quite ridiculous. “As I said, no random killing of humans. Do you not understand the dragon language?”

“Golden Dragon, it isn’t your place to interfere in what I do.”

“What did you say?” Muria’s human form quickly expanded. Golden dragon scales appeared one by one, six sharp dragon horns stretched out from his forehead. A slender dragon tail slowly extended from his back and a pair of wings covered in diamond-shaped scales fanned out behind him.

Finally, a massive Golden Dragon, about 240 meters in length, appeared in front of the crystal ancient dragon. His dazzling golden dragon eyes looked down on the crystal dragon. A voice like a thunderclap radiated, “I can’t hear clearly. Would you mind repeating what doesn’t concern me? I was commissioned to save you. So, you must abide by my commands.”

“What right do you Metallic Dragons have to interfere in the affairs of us, the Gem Dragon Clan?” Seeing the massive size of Muria now, the Crystal Dragon couldn’t help but back off a few steps, unconsciously shrinking its body; disbelief was apparent in its dragon eyes.

Despite this, the ancient dragon braced itself and argued with Muria. There was no other option: even though Muria’s current size seemed overwhelming, the good nature of the Golden Dragon allowed it to stand its ground against her.

Muria showed no courtesy this time, she stretched out her claws, directly grabbed the Crystal Dragon’s tail, then swung her sixty-meter long body towards the three-hundred-meter high mountain range in front of her, covered with a thick layer of frost and snow.

Boom! Boom! Boom… A tremendous roar echoed, and the mountains shattered. Muria, who knew just how sturdy the ancient dragon’s body was, held nothing back, she used the Crystal Dragon to demolish the mountain range before her.

“I’m intervening because my strength surpasses yours, so I will manage you, is there a problem?”

“No, no problem,” the ancient dragon, its scales shattered and tail nearly broken, weakly responded with blood dripping from the corner of its mouth. It had never been so severely injured even in fights against many legendary humans; the Golden Dragon who claimed to be its rescuer had brutally beaten it just for talking back.

“Good. Now follow me and do as I command. If you refuse, I will beat you, understood?”

“What do you intend to do?” The Crystal Dragon, lying weakly on the ground, asked faintly.

“Naturally, I want to hunt dragon hunters; I plan to cleanse this continent of all dragon hunters,” Muria replied nonchalantly.

On hearing Muria’s words, the eyes of the ancient crystal dragon quickly lit up; then, a symphony of the growth and fusion of bones echoed from its body. The dragon was using its Primordial Qi to heal its injuries.

“There’s no need for such intensity, I can wait,” Muria instructed, watching the dragon’s forceful recovery method was rather painful, even if most of the injuries were caused by her.

“Let’s go now. I’ve regained my mobility.”

“Crawl! Keep crawling! Let’s see how much longer you can do it!” A man with narrow eyes, a high nose drawn into a hook shape, and a dour appearance stood on the peak of a mountain, looking down at a crawling White Dragon.

It was a severely wounded giant dragon. The places where its wings once spread now merely held two bone stubs. Its back legs were twisted in an odd posture, clearly broken. Its front legs were bloody, all scales rubbed off. The claws were only a mess of flesh and bones.

The dragon horns that adorned its head were also all gone, torn off forcefully. Its lower jaw was askew. It had clearly endured unbearable torture, so much so that it now lacked the normal recovery capacity of a dragon. It had no spare energy to heal its wounds.

“Crawl, vermin, keep crawling! See that mountain ahead? Once you are over it, I will spare you,” the eerie man cajoled, seeing the White Dragon stop and the light in its eyes gradually dimming.

The thing he enjoyed most was torturing giant dragons. Seeing these apex creatures of the world struggle and scream desperately under him, he felt an endless joy and satisfaction. He was a Dragon Hunter, but in their circle, he had another title – Dragon Torturer.

“Kill me, despicable human.”

“No, you haven’t given me enough pleasure yet. Continue crawling, or I will extract the bones from your body, one by one. If you don’t want to experience this pain, keep crawling,” said the dragon hunter, firmly rejecting the dragon’s plea. He wanted to continue toying with it, after all, this was a rare Ancient White Dragon.

“I won’t let you continue to humiliate me.” The White Dragon that was no longer dragon-shaped lay motionless in the snow.

“Is that so?” The Dragon Hunter jumped onto it. His footsteps met not scales, but blurred flesh and blood. When the Dragon Hunter stood on it, the White Dragon violently twitched but ultimately lacked the energy to resist further.

“Won’t continue to crawl? Maybe you could survive, you know,” said the Dragon Hunter as he pulled out a peculiar tool from his side, drove it deep into the dragon’s body, and pulled out a translucent dragon bone with a metallic luster.

“Do you think I’d believe the words of a human?”

“That’s a shame. Let me see how many of your bones I have to remove before you start crawling again, you disgrace to the Dragon Clan.”

“Sooner or later, a stronger dragon will kill you,” cursed the White Dragon, its bones forcibly removed from its body.

“Oh, is that so? But it won’t be today,” the Dragon Hunter replied casually.

“You’re wrong, it’s right now.” As the Dragon Hunter’s voice fell, an icy voice appeared next to his ear. A hand came out of space, placed itself on his head, and then, pop! Just like a watermelon exploding, the Dragon Hunter’s skull directly burst under this hand.

“Interesting, a stronger dragon has come!” A weird voice echoed from the abdomen of the headless Dragon Hunter.

“You disgust me, bastard!” A black-haired, golden-eyed boy stepped out from a space rift, riding a transparent giant dragon. An invisible wind blew, forming an unseen field.
