King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 657 - 657 652 Dragon Hunt Revenge

Chapter 657: Chapter 652: Dragon Hunt, Revenge Chapter 657: Chapter 652: Dragon Hunt, Revenge “Natural enemies? The balance of the world?” Muria seemed to ponder. The Giant Dragon is the apex predator within the food chain, but it still exists within that chain.

Therefore, dragons have natural enemies but even if those monsters fond of dragon hunting, once the giant dragon progresses to the ancient dragon stage, they are the ones who get killed, hence, the Giant Dragon doesn’t have a literal sense of a natural enemy.

Nevertheless, nature seems unsatisfied with such condition, the power of dragons is built on the plundering of their surroundings, consequently, the deity known as the Giant Dragon Hunter was conceived.

“Like Dragon Hunters?” Muria frowned in thought, “Nature requires balance, many seemingly abhorrent existences, they are indispensable parts of the natural cycle and they are necessary for its existence.”

For instance, professions like Dragon Hunters, nearly ninety percent of dragon hunters have not hunted a real giant dragon, they hunt creatures that possess the Dragon’s Bloodline. Those with dragon blood within them, they have more intense desires than ordinary creatures and are more combative.

Their power is also stronger than creatures of the same level. Sub-dragon creatures are widely distributed in the world and are found virtually everywhere. Even the lowest-priced Gnolls have very thin dragon veins, hence, Dragon Hunters serve to suppress the spread of such dragon vein creatures.

But even if they know this profession exists due to balance, then what? The existence of these fellows had already infringed upon Muria, therefore Muria wouldn’t show mercy for the sake of some balance, it’s his dragons who are dying.

“This kind of deity, the Giant Dragon Hunter, we can kill one by one until no god dares to inherit the position of the Hunter.”

“Your Majesty, it’s not as easy as you say.” Another ancient dragon heard what Muria was saying, shook his head with a wry smile, “The deity who has inherited the position of Giant Dragon Hunter, as soon as he ascends to the God Position, possesses a Powerful Divine Force. The price to pay to cause such a god to fall isn’t small, if we keep killing, the Dragon Race may not be able to bear this price.”

“Is that so, I understand, I don’t have any other questions.” Muria, who was just addressed as a giant dragon, shook his head, indicating he had no more questions.

Within an imposing glacier, a group of humans dressed in white cloaks were sneakily setting up various concealed rune traps and shocking large-scale dragon hunting weapons in front of an ice cave.

“Everyone be quiet and be careful, don’t wake the Crystal Dragon inside.”

“What are you afraid of? This dragon sleeps very deeply, as long as there is no particularly loud noise, it won’t wake up, so don’t worry!”

“This is a full-grown Crystal Dragon, if it wakes up before we finish setting up, we’re all doomed.”

“If we die, then we die. Death by hunting these filthy giant dragons means we can go to His Majesty Malok’s Divine Kingdom and enjoy eternal life, how nice.”

Said a human who was setting up a Dragon Hunting Crossbow, completely disregarding life and death, that is the standard mindset of a deity believer. They don’t care about their own deaths, because for them, death is the beginning of eternal life.

Soon, these humans had set up the traps in front of the dragon cave and at the exciting signal of the leader, a human carrying a triggered goblin rune hand grenade, threw it into the dragon cave.

Boom———

First came the explosive sound, then the entire iceberg shook, triggering a mini avalanche below the mountain, and with the booming of the snow mount,

Roar! A furious dragon roar resounded, it was the Crystal Dragon that was awakened by the Goblin’s hand grenade. The dragon rushed out of its den roaring and then saw the insignificant creatures who had disturbed its sleep.

It was a group of humans, gripping various large dragon hunting weapons, excitedly staring at it. Its neck and the left side of its chest had scales curling up and translucent dragon blood was dripping- it was injured. However, the injuries were healing at an incredibly fast pace.

“Insolent humans, you dare disturb my slumber, prepare to become ice sculptures!” Suddenly awakened and filled with rage, the somewhat confused Crystal Dragon poorly judged the threatening situation approaching.

“Do not waste your breath on him. Kill him as quickly as possible.”

The humans offered no reply and rapidly pulled the triggers in their hands.

Simultaneously, a violent elemental fluctuation spread under the furious Crystal Dragon’s feet. An even larger explosion occurred under the dragon, followed by the grievous wailing of the Crystal Dragon.

Its chest and abdomen were instantly blasted into pieces, it sensed something was amiss, but when it tried to fly, it found its wings to be incredibly heavy, as if weighed down by two icebergs and it could not take flight as a no-fly Array was set up here.

Realizing it was trapped, the Crystal Dragon bellowed a roar and completely lost it. Understanding that it might likely perish here, it began to attack without considering the consequences.

Major roaring and explosive noises echoed through the snowy mountain, causing minor tremors in the mountain and snowflakes drifting down. Several nearby mountains felt the vibrations and avalanches occurred. However, the noises did not persist for long.

After a roar filled with despair and resentment sounded, everything came to a halt. Then, three excited humans hurriedly descended from the mountain and rushed into the nearest Human Kingdom.

As for their companions, they were all dead. Dragon hunting came with its price, even with exhaustive preparation, there might still be a possibility of getting counter attacked and wiped out by the desperate giant dragon. Giant dragons were also intelligent creatures, they are not just ignorant beasts.

Not even half a day after the humans had left, a massive space-time crack appeared in mid-air over the snowy mountain where a dragon hunt just occurred. A powerful Crystal Dragon emerged from the crack, icy aura spread from its body freezing the surrounding environment and causing crackling noises.

Then, this ancient dragon filled with wrath and killing intent landed on the peak of the iceberg. However, all it saw were spotty bloodstains, broken crossbow arrows implanted in the ground, the collapsed dragon cave, the abandoned rune formation; all these signs were proof of what had transpired, which this experienced ancient dragon understood clearly.

“My child!” The crystal ancient dragon roared in anger and regret. Through the bloodline instinct, it already knew that its child had been murdered. “Who did this?”

The enraged crystal ancient dragon emitted a strong magical fluctuation from its body. Then, this fluctuation swept over the summit of the snowy mountain, reenacting the scenes that had transpired here before. It was like time had reversed and the ancient dragon witnessed everything that had happened.

The ancient dragon saw with its own eyes, the horrendous sight of his offspring being maimed. The skinning, grafting of scales, amputation of flesh, all turned into materials.

Seeing this, the ancient dragon became even more furious. It roared towards the sky, causing countless snowy mountains to collapse and a great avalanche. Afterward, it turned its head towards the mountains in the distance, where the Human Kingdom was located. It knew that the humans who slaughtered his daughter escaped into human territory.

Without any hesitation, the ancient dragon who suffered the loss of its young flew towards that direction. From its body, an intense cold spread, forming a boundless cold wave with its flight…
