Chapter 630 - 630 625 Blood Stains the Ice Field

Chapter 630: Chapter 625: Blood Stains the Ice Field Chapter 630: Chapter 625: Blood Stains the Ice Field Without the need for many words, when Muria charged towards the sky dome, all the legends simultaneously flew up to the sky as if by an unspoken agreement. No words required. Once the fighters’ strength surpassed the Soul Intent Level, they would choose the sky as the battlefield.

Defenders and attackers alike would not want to desolate the land beneath their feet like mindless destructive demons. More importantly, excessive damage to the land could summon some terrifying entities.

“You five, come with me!” Muria cast a glance below, waved his Prison-suppression halberd, glittering with chilling radiance. It hung horizontally in the sky, enveloping the fastest-moving five streams of light. These were the strongest five legends. Without any hesitation, Muria began his ruthless attack on them.

“You also, come here.” Michaela, who was already pinning down the Frost Giant leader on his side, noticed that Muria entered the battle with five legends simultaneously and followed suit. He swung his battle sword and slashed out four strokes of Sword Qi towards the four streams of light that followed closely, forcing their physical bodies to come out.

Then, the crimson blaze of the Blazing Sky Flames spread, coercively drawing these four legends into his battlefield.

“Such terrifying power!” The Ancient Green Dragon Fiona, who had charged into the sky dome along with Muria, was amazed at the sight of Muria and Michaela holding off ten legends simultaneously.

“Unfortunately, I don’t possess such power. I can only manage to hold off a single Frost Giant. Two would be beyond my limit.” Fiona sighed lightly and then a green cloud filled with a faint and eerie smell of acid fog spread around, engulfing a Frost Giant leader – groans of pain and battle cries ensued simultaneously.

For legends of the Dragon Race like Fiona, who weren’t extraordinarily strong, there weren’t many advantages when confronting these Giant legends, especially when the enemy has a home advantage.

As Fiona Ancient Green Dragon engaged her enemy, the other legends under Muria’s command, along with the three Legendary White Dragons aided by Clodia, started to find their own opponents to fight. Some Soul Intent Level powerhouses who had extreme confidence in their own abilities also joined in…

The immense Legendary War in the Sky kicked off, and down below, under the command of several Soul Intent-Level Frost Giants, a large-scale battle involving over a hundred thousand soldiers of the legions also began.

All participating in the war were adult Frost Giants, not a single young Frost Giant. A powerful tribe would never allow their underage young to participate in wars, unless they were on the verge of extinction.

“I don’t understand why these barbarians are resisting His Majesty’s rule. Are they blind? Can they not see the state we’re in right now?”

In a Frost Giant legion formation, a Frost Giant looked at the oncoming uncivilized tribe members and muttered to himself.

He had followed his tribal leader to the Frost Giant City that Muria built for them, settled in the house assigned to him, wore clean and tidy clothes and found magical devices up for sale that he could buy – like a metal kettle for thawing ice, a metal block for heating food, a cylinder for washing clothes… and many more. The most important of them being weaponry forged from all sorts of refined steel, arming himself to the teeth.

Now, after adapting to the high-quality lifestyle brought about by civilization, he truly felt the ignorance of the Frost Giants who continue to live in the savage icy wilderness. Comparatively, they appear uncivilized, primitive, dirty, and coarse – beyond redemption.

“Because their leaders and the gods they worship fear losing power, they are resisting His Majesty desperately.” One of the Frost Giants responded upon hearing the complaints.

“They all deserve to die grasping at power. My current life is far better than when I was under the leadership of the former tribal leader. They are sinners and evil gods, hindering race development.”

The Frost Giant, who had just begun to become educated and received education from the Cloud Giants of Xena Pus, complained. Now, they had learned to think, having their own perspectives.

The Frost Giants in the old days had the strength to survive in the desolate icy wilderness, but they were always worried about how to fill their stomachs and they were too occupied with surviving to think. Only after fulfilling physical needs can they start to think about problems.

“Raise Shields!”

When the savage Frost Giants surrounding the Giant Legion began rushing at them, a Frost Giant commander who had mastered basic wartime commands yelled and gave orders.

Then, the three Frost Giant legions arranged in a trimetric distribution quickly changed their formation to form a massive and orderly circle. The Frost Giants on the outermost periphery took out their enormous tower shield, gripped the handle inside it and drove it heavily in front of their bodies. within a few moments, a ten-meter-high circular steel barrier instantly formed.

Not just that, the shield-holding Frost Giants began using their innate strength to spread the rigid frost over the steel barrier, making it even thicker.

In the eyes of most of the charging Frost Giants, they could only see a formidable fortress, the traces of their armored kinsfolk having disappeared.

Though they were instigated by their leaders to harbour hatred against these so-called traitorous kinsfolk, not one frost giant could be indifferent at the sight of them covered fully in armor, wielding enviable steel weaponry.

Jealousy, envy, and greed were spreading in the heart of these savage Frost Giants. Without the provocation of their leaders, they were overtaken with the intent to kill these “traitorous” kinsfolk. The allure of weaponry was too great for them. They wanted to kill their kinsfolk and seize all their weapons and equipment. That was what most of the Frost Giants were thinking at the moment.

With these motivations, the wave of over a hundred thousand Frost Giants crashed onto the circular steel barrier. In an instant, numerous vibrant blood flowers bloomed on the land, with blood sprinkling in the air and transforming into blood-red ice flowers before hitting the ground.

The first layer of iron wall was instantly shattered, as the civilized and the wild went toe-to-toe. However, the Frost Giants behind the forefront, who had received proper training, swiftly picked up their tower shields and formed a second barrier. After the second one, the third, the fourth, and many more barriers quickly took shape behind it, protecting the Frost Giants brandishing their war lances…
