Chapter 610 - 610 606 Defeat and Devour
Chapter 610: Chapter 606 Defeat and Devour Chapter 610: Chapter 606 Defeat and Devour “Laugh! Why aren’t you laughing anymore?” Muria directed the Star Destroying Cannon in his hand, which could adjust to his size, at the Locust God King. Dark blue light shone on it, and the naturally overflowing power distorted space, forming a natural spatial barrier. This didn’t consume its own power; it was an unusual legend that controlled psychic energy.
“The weapon in your hand, is that what you’re relying on to assassinate me on your own?” Kilov, who could no longer emit the Soul Sound representing laughter, felt the pressure of death. If hit by this oddly shaped Star Destroying Cannon, he would definitely die!
“If you insist on this interpretation, more or less!” Muria held the Star Destroying Cannon presented to him by the Mechanism Emperor in his hand, and a continuous stream of energy from his body flowed into it. He had once fired it at low power to test its potency. Indeed, its power was impressive. After all, at full power, this Star-class weapon could penetrate the body of an Evil God.
Despite having powered this Star Destroying Cannon many times, Muria had never fully charged it. So, he didn’t mind delaying for a few more moments, allowing the Star Destroying Cannon to perfectly lock onto the God King while charging it a little more.
“Bear in mind, even if you can kill me with this weapon, the shockwaves emitted will inevitably alarm the other Locust Gods. With your power, you won’t be able to leave here alive.”
Gradually being locked onto by the Star Destroying Cannon, the God King Kilov, who felt the shadow of death growing thicker, spoke up. He had just tried to contact the other Locust Gods, but the space was locked. He felt that he could break through in a short time, but he didn’t have this opportunity.
“You don’t need to worry about that. All fluctuations will be concealed. Not a single Locust will know of your death.” Muria, who had completely locked onto the Locust God King, released the restriction, and intense light shot out from the Star Destroying Cannon. The muzzle, big enough to fit the Locust God King, fired towards the Locust God King.
As the Star Destroying Cannon fired, the power of the Half-plane spread from beneath Muria’s feet, instantly enveloping the God-King Palace. A somewhat silent world appeared, with majestic towers, a city with dark artistic style, and a lush, thriving Primordial Forest. There was also a circle of lush grasslands at the edge.
Regardless of the towers or the city, they were all desolate and lonely, without much vitality. Only within the forest and the grasslands were there signs of animal activities – this was the projection of Muria’s Half-plane, one of the standard battle methods of the Legendary Mage.
“What is this?” Looking at the suddenly changing space around him, the Locust God King showed a look of surprise. He couldn’t sense the aura of his own world; he was isolated in an enclosed space. The Locust Civilization didn’t have mages, they didn’t know how to use the power of the Half-plane in battle.
Of course, surprise aside, it didn’t prevent this Locust God King from doing his utmost to resist the bombardment of the Star Destroying Cannon. A heavy psychic crystal barrier appeared, and one after another, the Legendary psychic spells that caused fissures in Muria’s Half-plane projection burst out, substituting defence for offence.
The Supreme Scepter in the Locust God King’s hand blessed each spell it cast. Three stellar nuclei embedded in its crown on its head radiated dazzling light. The surging power of the stars was drawn out and then arranged according to pre-set rune arrays into borderline divine defence and attack.
Boom———
A loud rumble erupted from the energy collision. Under Muria’s Star Destroying Cannon’s bombardment, the Locust God King’s struggle and resistance seemed so weak and feeble, as all assaults and defences shattered in the light unleashed by the Star Destroying Cannon.
The Star Destroying Cannon was indeed not fully charged, but even Muria himself didn’t know how much energy it contained. Sometimes, when he was too bored and there was no battle, he would casually charge it with some energy. After decades, he didn’t know how much energy it contained or how powerful this shot would be!
Squeak———
The agonizing wail of a soul echoed in Muria’s soul sight. A smile appeared on Muria’s face as he carefully sensed the declining breath of this Locust God King. When it reached a certain limit, Muria ceased fire, and suddenly, the light emitted by the Star Destroying Cannon disappeared. Before the energy was completely drained, it was entirely in his control.
Well, this Locust God King wasn’t dead yet, but it wouldn’t be long before he was completely spent. If he continued to bombard, Muria might blast the sceptre along with the three-star crown and the Locust God King into smithereens, which wouldn’t be worth the loss.
Muria needed these proofs of duelling victories, as well as a living Locust God King. How could he let Yingdila swallow it if he blasted it into dust? How could he carry out his bold idea?
“What the hell do you want?” Sitting on the Divine Throne that was already in ruins, the seemingly unscathed Locust God King saw Muria approach, his heart filled with a mix of helpless despair and a hint of a longing for life.
At his level, he didn’t want to die at all. He thought he would turn to dust in the powerful attack just now, or rather, not even dust would remain, but the result was unexpected; he survived.
Click! Click.. The dense sound of shattering rang out, under Muria’s indifferent gaze, his half-plane projection shattered. This filled the Locust God King’s eyes with hope, but soon after, all this hope turned into despair.
“Yingdila, you can eat now!” Muria said in a flat tone. In just the violent energy assault earlier, Muria’s half-plane couldn’t block all of it, but with Yingdila, this super glutton backing him up, the majority of the released energy was swallowed by her. After all, she was an existence that could even devour light.
“Yeah, yeah!” A cheerful cheer sounded, and then a cute figure appeared behind the Locust God King. It was Yingdila, having restored her original form, a humanoid body, dragon horns, wings, a tail, only a head shorter than Muria. Seeing her seemingly small mouth open, a black hole then appeared.
A powerful suction force, directed only at the severely injured God King who was nearly exhausted, appeared… then, amidst the Locust monarch’s futile struggle, he was swallowed into Yingdila’s belly.
“Spit it out!” Muria’s hand stretched towards Yingdila’s mouth. She had swallowed the scepter and the crown together. If left for too long, Muria did not doubt that even divine artefacts would be digested by her.
“Oh!” Under Muria’s stern gaze, Yingdila reluctantly opened her mouth and spat out the two treasures of the Locust Civilization.
