Chapter 554 - 554 550 The Dragon Got Captured
Chapter 554: Chapter 550: The Dragon, Got Captured! Chapter 554: Chapter 550: The Dragon, Got Captured! “…” Ansol furrowed his brows, pondering for a moment before opening his mouth, “When I left it to you to choose a mate for Muria, I never specified the species. Yet, every partner you choose is a giant dragon.”
“So, my husband plays mind games occasionally, too,” the Golden Dragon Mother smirked frostily, “You must have already had a candidate in mind, haven’t you? That female Titan named Heloise, you were waiting for me to choose her, then you would confirm it.”
“…” The legendary titan Ansol was silent.
“As far as I know, this young girl named Heloise, you have been instructing her since she was very young. You have guided her more times than your own son, and the exclusive weapon she forged with legendary metal was a reward for a very simple task you arranged for her.
If I remember correctly, the task you gave her was to instruct young Muria in martial arts. Tsk, Ansol, I never knew you were so scheming. You started laying your plans when Muria was just a child.”
“You’re overthinking. Heloise’s father was a close friend of mine, but he had an accident and couldn’t take care of her. I couldn’t possibly ignore my friend’s daughter,” Ansol promptly rebutted, “Of course, Heloise is a very excellent female Titan. If she and Muria could be together…”
“You have spent a considerable effort on Heloise and Muria’s relationship, but it was all in vain because neither of them was interested in the other. Instead, it was an unexpected incident involving the legendary snake demon that caused little Muria to fall in love at first sight with Michaela, the genius girl of the Blazing Sky God Race.”
“No matter what you think, Muria’s partner must be a Titan.” Ansol stated adamantly.
“Impossible, in that case, the Titan bloodline would make up three-quarters of Muria’s daughter’s body. The Dragon Clan bloodline might be completely suppressed and unable to manifest. In this case, the inheritance of my Elonsis family’s ancestral golden dragon lineage will be cut off. Do you want my family to go extinct?”
While Ansol held his ground firmly, the Golden Dragon Mother Atreus was equally unyielding, as this issue was related to the continuation of her clan.”
“You want a giant dragon with a strong bloodline to be Muria’s partner while I want Heloise to be his partner. And Muria himself is attracted to an offspring of the Blazing Sky God Race. Our family’s choices are all different.”
Ansol didn’t argue with Atreus, as it was pointless to do so. He was a pure warrior who was worried about the descendants, but he was not going to lose his cool over this.
“But Muria’s choice is too unrealistic.” The Golden Dragon Mother shook her head. She also disagreed with Muria’s relationship with the offspring of the Blazing Sky Gods. Even without considering the influence of external factors, they were unlikely to have children.
Of course, there was a slim chance that they could have children. But would the child be a hybrid of a giant dragon, a Titan, and a descendant of the Blazing Sky Gods? Could the bloodline be any more mixed?
“So, we should be the ones to decide who his partner should be.” Ansol interjected.
“If only Muria could have two partners, one Titan and one dragon.” Atreus shook her head.
“That’s impossible.” Ansol shook his head, “Not only do our customs not permit Muria to have two partners at the same time, but it’s also logistically impossible.”
“Indeed, it’s impossible.” Golden Dragon Mother Atreus laughed at her own idea. The female giant dragons she had chosen were all incredibly highly regarded and loved. None were inferior to the others much. There were differences, but not significant ones. Who would be willing to share their partner with a Titan? It was not like there were no other options.
“We have to make a choice between a Titan and a dragon.” Ansol declared. He knew what kind of character Heloise had. She considered him her father, so if she was asked to be Muria’s partner, she wouldn’t object. But if she was asked to serve Muria alongside a dragon, that would be a dream!
…
As the Golden Dragon Mother and Ansol were arguing, Muria stood in the bottom part of the castle looking forlornly at the egg of the Wind King Hawk. The news brought by his father was too sudden, so sudden that he was completely unprepared.
“Michaela, have you broken through to the legendary realm?,” Muria took a battle letter cast of Sunflame Gold from his arms. Looking at the ancient divine text of the word “battle” on it, nostalgia filled his eyes.
“Once you break through, hurry to find me. We’ll fight first, and after that, we’ll immediately confirm our relationship and plan for a child. This way, they can’t stop me.” The troubled half-blood Titan spoke nonsense as if he was talking in his sleep.
Muria didn’t intend to follow the arrangement of his parents. He wasn’t a child who needed shelter anymore; he could live independently of his parents. Simply put, his wings were now fully grown.
“But if they want to force me through power, I have no way of resisting at all.” Muria recalled the look on his father’s face just now. He had no doubt that when he doesn’t cooperate, his seemingly dominant father would resort to violence. He wouldn’t attempt to persuade him with tender words.
“Considering the current defenses of Xena Pus, if the two of them join hands, they can easily run me through.” Muria calculated the power he held in his hands, considering whether or not he could defiantly say “no”.
But the result greatly depressed Muria. The current legendary battle power of Xena Pus- himself, Abyss Refining Demon Mels, the Massacre’s Shadow Shifanlin, Ancient Green Dragon Fiona, and the Female Pirate Queen, Sefilia, the Flame Dragon Princess- although they were all at the low rank of legends, when they joined forces, Muria felt unable to withstand even just his father.
“If people move, they die; if trees move, they live.” Muria rubbed his chin, since a hard confrontation wouldn’t work, he needed to try a different approach.
“Master, a big incident happened!” Just as Muria was deep in thought, a thick curse black mist rolled around a black metal cover book, flying to Muria.
“Black, what happened?” Muria was looking at the Book of Mourning that he had spent a hefty sum to buy. Looking at the curse spirit condensed on it, he soothed with a deep voice, “Speak slowly.”
“Master, a dragon in your subcontinent has been captured by someone!” Curse spirit Black said a little frantically. It knew its position in Muria’s heart. It was not seen as a comically despicable Curse Book, but as an auxiliary book used to monitor subordinates and provide comfort. To be degraded to this level, was something the curse spirit had never thought of.
“My dragon has been captured by someone?” Muria’s eyes slightly squinted, a dangerous aura emanating from his eyes. With an air of restrained anger, it made the curse spirit even more terrified, “What’s going on?”
