Chapter 1389 - 1389 1362 The New Reaper_2
Chapter 1389: Chapter 1362: The New Reaper_2 Chapter 1389: Chapter 1362: The New Reaper_2 “Looks like I’m still too late.”
The Sun God’s gaze fell upon the Undead Emperor, whose vitality was wilting and who seemed on the verge of falling from his current realm, filled with a color of regret.
As beings of the same era, they were naturally very familiar with each other. Unfortunately, standing before this old god, the other could no longer recognize him, and he could only watch helplessly as the other’s downfall unfolded.
Old gods fall, new gods ascend to the throne. Such scenes had been witnessed by him countless times over the long years. Today’s events were merely a repeat of history, with the only uniqueness being the identity of the successor.
“Hey, listen to you, even if you’d come earlier, nothing would’ve changed. Old man, remember, sometimes don’t think too highly of yourself.”
The Star Cluster Dragon King mocked the Sun God without restraint upon hearing his lament. He detested any being that acted profound and put on airs of superiority and a standpoint of having seen the vicissitudes of time in his presence.
Who are you trying to fool? Aren’t we all just old antiques who’ve lived for tens of thousands of years? Even if you’ve lived tens or hundreds of times longer than me, as a deity, such endless years are meaningless.
“It was you all who helped Muria, wasn’t it? Otherwise, he could never accomplish something like this on his own.”
The Sun God scanned the Blazing Sky Gods and Dragon Kings present. Although none were worthy of his direct attention, their sheer number was enough to warrant his concern if they joined forces.
“Are you stupid? You have to say something that’s instantly obvious.”
The Star Cluster Dragon King continued to argue with the Sun God, seemingly unable to look favorably upon him, perhaps due to a clash of attributes.
“Muria, take this guy down, then continue with what you must do.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t let his avatar leave here alive.”
Muria pointed at the Sun God’s avatar, and under the will of this newly risen god of death, some of the smarter undead, after contemplation, chose to obey, leading the Undead tide towards the avatar of the Sun God, making the situation even more grave for him.
“It’s already come to this.”
The Sun God sighed lightly, discovering that the situation was even more serious than he had imagined. The Undead Emperor’s power had not just been taken but even his Divine Kingdom had been invaded, nearly switching masters.
“You are simply an embarrassment among us!”
The initially surprised gaze returned to the aloof calmness befitting a deity. The Sun God viewed the Undead Emperor, who was still furiously raging but unable to stir up much trouble, as if looking at a piece of trash.
Boom——
A crimson gold hue of Divine Light spread from the Sun God’s body, reminiscent of the corona surging from the sun,
The dignity of a deity was not to be defiled. Without an Absolute Quantity, the so-called Undead tide was meaningless. Thus, Muria saw the essence he had just seized from the Undead Emperor being erased in large swathes.
However, Muria didn’t feel much regret, because this was the very role those undead played for him as a deity, being able to sap the strength of a peer was enough.
“Tsk, with just that level of power, do you dare to intrude here? Muria, kill him.”
The Star Cluster Dragon King was even more active than during the battle, constantly urging Muria, allowing this newer and powerful deity to exert a might that surpassed any Epic present.
That’s right, after Muria’s ascension, no Epic present, including those two ancestors, was any match for him anymore. The Powerful Divine Force was no longer something most Pseudo-realm Epics could contend with.
And precisely because of this, when another Powerful Divine Force appeared, the Star Cluster Dragon King no longer took to the field himself. It was not that he couldn’t fight; if he was willing to go all out, he could still stand his ground, but there was no need.
Boom, rumble——
The Sorrow of Demise, Wind of Annihilation, Earth of Burial Gods, Soul-devouring Fire… Having only seized a portion of the death divine power and controlling a mere fraction of the Netherworld, Muria exerted tremendous pressure on the Sun God’s avatar.
This avatar of the Sun God, who wished to leave the Netherworld and announce everything here to the gods, was firmly suppressed in place, unable to accomplish what he wanted to do.
“I’ve underestimated my opponent, but fortunately, I was prepared.”
The strength of the solar avatar was constantly being drained, with no replenishment possible, and his aura plummeted. The protective divine light around him, like a coronal aura, had been breached, and some of the filthiest undead were already able to touch his body.
…
“Unable to send out a message, it seems he has been suppressed. I miscalculated.”
Between the sky and earth, a radiant and holy light filled the space, leaving no dark shadow that could exist in this world, completely dominated by light.
And at this moment, in the center of the Divine Kingdom, stood a being whose naturally emanating Divine Light allowed him to stand shoulder to shoulder with the sun, sighed.
When he dispatched his Avatar, he had already prepared accordingly. And now, this calm as if nothing had happened, was the worst possible outcome.
“It seems I’ve underestimated that junior. But what exactly happened that he could suppress my avatar within that group of companions who’ve lost wisdom? Could he have become… No, that doesn’t make sense; even if he had that power, how could he have achieved it so quickly?”
The Sun God Sergei Gradyer was deeply puzzled. At present, he was unable to synchronize his thoughts with his avatar which had infiltrated the Netherworld. If that weren’t the case, he would have no more questions in his mind.
But soon, this ancient being erased the confusion from his mind, making the worst contingency plans, knowing that sometimes things happened that didn’t need logical support, appearing abruptly leaving no one prepared,
“It seems I have to prepare a tribute for the newly ascended god of death. I wonder what kind of Divine Name he would like?
Should it continue with the previous Undead Emperor, or change to another term? ‘Nether Emperor’ sounds rather good.”
The Sun God was very clear about his role: if he couldn’t beat them, join them. Find a way to become friends, at the very least to erase the enmity between them, even if just superficially.
He had done this countless times over the long years. So now, he was contemplating the attitude he should adopt in dealing with Muria.
