Chapter 1372 - 1372 1354 Grandparent and Grandchild
Chapter 1372: Chapter 1354: Grandparent and Grandchild Chapter 1372: Chapter 1354: Grandparent and Grandchild “Aeolus, you have grown up and should have been able to stand on your own long ago.”
The grand Divine Might permeated the grand hall, where Muria sat on the Divine Throne. He was gathering his increasingly vast power stemming from faith while falling into deep thought.
Though from the perspective of some subordinates and close beings, in comparison to his three adored daughters whom he cherished, his eldest son, Aeolus, seemed substantially more pitiful.
However, this was a result of comparison. The resources Muria provided for his eldest son were not less than any given to a Titan, in fact, they were much more.
But by comparison, it appeared as though Muria was extremely harsh on his eldest son, almost mercilessly so. This was merely a reflection of Muria’s educational philosophy.
Boys should be raised in austerity, and girls in wealth. It’s just a saying. In fact, his eldest son, Aeolus, accessed resources no less than his three sisters, albeit in a special way.
Influenced by certain beliefs, Muria naturally thought that boys should undergo more trials than girls, to stand strong amidst great adversaries.
Once his eldest son came of age, Muria opted for the Titan way of treating offspring, not intervening whatever he achieved or suffered, as long as there was no threat to his life.
But compared to his experiences which were closer to those of a Titan, struggling outside, Muria’s three daughters were completely kept from the normal growth trajectory of a Titan. They were kept sheltered, enjoying all the beauties of the world. Their very existence highlighted the misery of Aeolus.
“These resources should be obtained by him himself.”
Muria looked at the materials prepared for his eldest son and sighed softly. Alas, he had already promised his wife, so these materials extracted from the Giant Serpent would still go to him.
After all, these were not able to directly enhance his son’s strength, at most, they would double the quality of the equipment on Aeolus, hmm, not a significant impact.
…
In a modern city with towering skyscrapers and roads crisscrossing everywhere, various and even bizarre transportation vehicles moved non-stop, almost without a pause.
In one of the skyscrapers whose peak reached into the clouds, a young man stood on a mid-level floor, looking down through the bright glass at the ever-changing city below with a calm expression,
“Lord Aeolus!”A respectful angel with three pairs of pure white wings half-kneeled on the ground, his seemingly gentle wings drooping onto the soft carpet; such a humble posture, if seen by the outside world, would indeed provoke cries of “impossible.”
The times had changed. Years ago, the world had known only one type of Intelligent Creature possessing extraordinary powers beyond human knowledge—the dragons.
To counter these beings, humans even had to leverage human powers, as the extraordinary often made no sense. But as the ages progressed, humans gradually subdued the dragons with their wisdom, allowing most humans to live safely in their world, oblivious to the existence of dragons.
Normally, the dragons should have gradually disappeared through the sands of time or be completely controlled by humans, deciphering their secrets of the extraordinary.
It should have been so, but accidents always happen unexpectedly. On an otherwise tranquil day, a Red Dragon appeared, wielding power rivaling the legends, mighty enough to compare with deities.
His mere existence almost destabilized the human world’s order. Fortunately, this dragon capable of annihilating the world held great goodwill toward humans, who suppressed dragons, thus a new order was firmly re-established with absolute force, with almost no disturbances occurring.
Hence, the vast majority of humans returned to their daily lives, enjoying this seemingly simple peace and slowly adapting to various magical aspects from the Otherworld.
They also slowly accepted the rule of various types of Extraordinary Beings from the Different World, accepting their noble bloodlines replacing their rulers.
Angels, human-like and representing divine light, became one of these beings. Despite their terrifying potential in combat when provoked, the ruled humans cared little for that; they only knew that the male angels were handsome, imposing, and attractive, while the female angels were dignified, elegant, and sacred. Being able to see them up close every day was a delight.
After all, though both dragons and angels were considered perfect creatures in some sense, sharing incomparable aesthetics, humans preferred admiring the beauty of angels over the majestic beauty of dragons.
Therefore, in a world where every angel boasts a massive fan club, if one were to see a Six-Winged angel bowing to a human, it would definitely provoke public outrage and be deemed utterly fabricated.
“Your mother, Michaela, invites you to Xena Pus.”
