King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 1350 - 1350 1334 Conquest_2
Chapter 1350: Chapter 1334 Conquest_2 Chapter 1350: Chapter 1334 Conquest_2 Even the multi-headed monster that had breached the city wall collapsed into a pool of blood amidst its wails, carrying with it a resentment of unwillingness to die, just as the remaining residents of the city were about to offer their praises to the Deity who saved them.
Golden Thunder descended from the sky and struck directly on the head of the Divine Incarnation. Under this sudden attack, the Divine Incarnation stumbled and then cracked open.
In the city, many mortal creatures watched in horror as the distant horizon turned golden with the arrival of someone, altering the pure white clouds.
It was an awe-inspiring giant, wielding a Thunderbolt spear and clad in Armor, who only revealed the upper half of his body above the clouds. Yet, his intense Divine Might was already overwhelming, suffocating those who tried to breathe under its pressure.
“Who are you?”
The Divine Incarnation in the city that had been struck by the golden thunder struggled for a few moments and ultimately shattered unwillingly. But things did not end there. Corresponding to the golden clouds, the other side of the sky darkened as blue thunder flickered within the clouds.
A Deity with a strange appearance, entirely at odds with Muria’s aesthetic standards, revealed itself opposite them, also in avatar form. Deities definitely would not use their true bodies for battle until the very last moment.
“The God of Judgment who shall punish the evil deeds you have committed!”
Muria replied indifferently. He would not tell this Deity that its appearance was partly why He had the urge to kill it.
Of course, that was not the main reason; the main reason was that this Deity’s divine responsibilities were also quite messy, which was why He could play around with things like the “Savior game.”
“What evil acts have I committed? And what right do you have to punish me?” The bewildered Evil God glared at the Golden Giant that had seemingly popped out of nowhere, fury surging in its heart.
What kind of character would a god who could instigate natural disasters and create monsters have? There was no need to contemplate. If it had a good temper, that’d be truly bizarre!
“For faith, you turned a region abundant in resources into a land with a harsh environment, instigating natural disasters…”
Muria laid bare all the deeds of this Deity, and as expected, the faces of its believers below were filled with disbelief and doubt. However, Muria did not need their belief; he simply wanted his opponent to die with clear understanding.
“As for why I have the right to punish you? Because I am stronger than you, and what you’ve done displeases me, that’s all there is to it.”
As soon as these words fell, the golden Deity raised the long spear in his hand and hurled it forth. The Spear of the Sun Chaser, transformed into a Thunderbeam, tore through the atmosphere, scattered the clouds, and struck the body of the Evil God in an instant.
In just a moment, as the thunderous roar spread across the sky, while the clouds shattered for thousands of miles, the torso of the Evil God that emitted blue Divine Light was also pierced through.
But its nature was similar to that of elemental life forms, yet a grade higher—a Divine Incarnation—and it did not shatter so easily. After connecting with a realm that was almost independent from the world, the avatar of the Evil God instantly regenerated, appearing as if Muria’s attack had been futile.
This naturally caused cheers among the believers below. But Muria knew how weak the one on the opposite side was: just a feeble Divine Power, a mere scum Deity that was one level higher than the lowest-tier Deities. Its power was also quite erratic, a bit like a weakened and reduced version of His own—but utterly different.
The disparity was like that between an Academic Overlord and a poorly performing student; they might study the same number of subjects, but the Academic Overlord excels in every single one while the poorly performing student just barely scrapes by.
Amidst the cheers of believers, the Evil God, thinking that the surprise attacker was nothing special, grasped the Sharp Blade in its hand and sent out a slash of grey-blue Divine Light that carried a faint presence of death, occasionally imbued with the power of “Disaster,” streaking across the sky,
“How could this be?”
The Evil God watched disbelief as its attack was shattered by nine Divine Beads that emitted a faint golden light. But soon, immense greed surged within its heart,
He gazed at the nine Fixed Star Beads hovering around the avatar of Muria, already beginning to fantasize about the formidable power he would possess if he had such potent Divine Artifacts.
But what followed told this Deity that his wishful thinking was always just that, wishful thinking, and it would never become reality.
“Pathetic!”
In this Domain, Muria, who had merely sent down an avatar, thought somewhat bored to himself because he had overestimated the local Deities even though he brought along one and a half Exclusive Weapons.
Because each Domain is independent, only those rich in resources capable of fostering a sufficient number of Intelligent Creatures can give birth to a transcendent existence such as Deities.
Consequently, Deities who emerge in this way are essentially weak, and in Elasia, with the same rank of Divine Power and priesthood, it’s basically not a problem to take on five at once.
The reason is simple: lacking experience in either battle or interaction with other Deities, even the less combat-oriented Deities of Elasia know how to preserve themselves.
However, the Deities of the Cluster World are different; most hadn’t even seen an existence on par with themselves before inter-domain connection, and inevitably, the prolonged sense of being above it all led some Deities to develop a haughty spirit.
After the Domains were connected, some Deities who met others more powerful than themselves would develop an avoidant psychology due to the vast difference in strength between them. Some even started to close off their realms, refusing any contact with the outside world.
Indeed, there was one such withdrawn Deity in the Domain allocated to Muria, quite a unique one among many, which Muria planned to pay a visit to when the opportunity arose.
In the sky, lightning and thunder raged, the stars and moon crossed paths, day and night flipped, and the celestial patterns became chaotic, but all these changes were not as terrifying as the aftermath of a battle between Deities leaking onto the earth.
And so, the earth shook, the mountains roared… A true natural disaster occurred, and all Creatures apart from those devout Believers began to run for their lives, hoping to get as far from the battling Deities as possible…
“No!”
Even with the support of a Divine Kingdom and the continuous squandering of accumulated Divine Power over the years, the Deity’s avatar who fought Muria’s avatar for three days and nights let out an unwilling roar, then sealed the Fixed Star Beads and was directly shattered by Muria without a chance for recovery.
Such a defeat was intolerable for the Evil God, who continued to send down avatars, attempting to expel Muria from His territory. Alas, He simply couldn’t beat Muria.
And after witnessing repeated defeats, the unbelievers of the Evil God witnessed something that drove Him crazy and yet he was utterly unable to stop.
Faith eroded!
It is a terrible thing for Believers to see their worshipped Deity bleed, shaking the very foundation of their faith, and the Evil God faced the reality that His followers were now placing their faith in the unknown entity that repeatedly destroyed His avatars.
This is actually quite a normal thing, as all creatures instinctively worship what is more powerful than themselves; the same goes for faith, and since worship is involved, why not worship the most powerful one?
So, when the Evil God realized that His resistance provided faith to Muria, He no longer sent down his avatars. He also didn’t want to lose face in front of His own followers anymore, as being repeatedly blasted into pieces in public was certainly nothing to boast about.
Then, the war for faith began. The indignant Evil God rallied His Believers, starting a world war to crusade against the heretical Evil Gods and purge the heretics.
Muria’s response was simple: summon the army of Giants, a hundred thousand Giants, thousands of Giant Dragons descended, sweeping across the world…
