Chapter 1339 - 1339 1324 Assassination Plan and Revival
Chapter 1339: Chapter 1324 Assassination Plan and Revival Chapter 1339: Chapter 1324 Assassination Plan and Revival This was a deity who wanted to kill her own father. Indeed, a devoted child, Muria really had nothing to say. As a father, Muria felt it necessary to ask her why she wanted to kill her father and learn from her experience to avoid making the same mistake—it was truly tragic.
“You want to kill your father?” Muria probed.
“Isn’t that obvious?” the goddess tilted her head slightly, exuding an immense charm, but even though Muria possessed the Dragon King Blood, he was not the slightest bit interested.
“Why?” Muria’s expression was very solemn.
“Why what?”
“What is your reason for wanting to kill your father?”
“Reasons? There are many, do you know how I was born?” asked the goddess, who held the deity title of [War].
“How would I know that?”
“I was born from my father’s heart.”
“Hmm? That method of birth is indeed special!” Muria responded thus, but other thoughts also crossed his mind.
Being conceived within a heart was not a capability deities of faith could possess; it was a power held by nature gods or perhaps the most ancient of gods—their bodies were very similar to the Body of Myriad Spirits from the epics.
The difference was, the existence of such bodies occurred naturally, nurtured by the Void. In contrast, the epic Body of Myriad Spirits was achieved through acquired cultivation and effort.
“Of course it’s special. My father is one of the Primordial Ancient Gods, and I am the second generation of deities He conceived. The main reason I was born was because my father couldn’t control his power at first, and accidentally conceived me.”
What a horrifying way to be born, Muria thought to himself as he looked down at his own heart, but he couldn’t imagine the level of poor control over one’s body it would take to conceive another being.
Now possessing the same abilities as the master of the mountains, Muria truly found it hard to empathize; the powers he now possessed were all self-cultivated, rather than innately conceived. Under such circumstances, unless by his own volition, such an event would never occur with him.
“That method of birth, your father wanted to kill you to take back his power, right?”
“Exactly, my father very much wants to kill me because my birth has dispersed His power,” said the perfectly poised goddess nonchalantly, as if the matter were completely unrelated to her, her expression utterly calm.
“So how did you grow up?” Muria’s expression was somewhat strange. Since he always concealed his face, he didn’t need to deliberately control his expressions.
“Hiding and fleeing. But I had another who had no actual relation to me, merely a nominal mother who helped me, and that’s how I was able to grow to this point. Now, although my power still does not surpass my father’s, he can no longer hurt me.”
“Oh.”
“But I’ve had enough of a life of passive defense, so I want to kill Him, but just by my own power, it’s far insufficient.”
“So you came to me for help,”
“That’s right,”
“But why should I help you?”
“Don’t you wish to obtain the deity title [Sun] that my father controls?”
“Your father’s primary deity title is [Earth], and [Sun] is but a minor power He holds. Just for that, you expect me to help you kill a powerful deity?” Muria mercilessly pointed out the goddess’s presumptuous attempt at benefitting oneself without cost, “And even if your father’s primary deity title were [Sun], why should I risk potentially falling in battle to help you?”
“So, are you saying, as long as I can pay a price compelling enough to interest you, you would be willing to help me kill Him?”
“What can you offer me?” Muria was noncommittal, wondering if the goddess could indeed provide a tempting enough reason for him to intervene. Although, currently, the chances of him killing the master of mountains were slim, there was always the future.
“What do you want? Or rather, how about me as a reward? As long as you can help me kill that damned old man, I will from then on belong to you.”
“A goddess of acquired status, where do you find the confidence to believe you possess such charm as to make me confront a powerful divine being?”
Muria mocked the goddess who seemed oblivious to her own worth; she was merely a divine being who changed her form to gather more faith.
“Oh, can’t you put it a bit more delicately?”
“It’s you who are too unaware of your own value.”
“So, what about these divine artifacts?”
After brief consideration, the war goddess, who wanted to kill her own divine father, took out more than a dozen items that mortals would call divine artifacts and placed them before Muria, these were the spoils she had obtained over tens of thousands of years.
“Is this all?” Muria looked at the Divine Artifact in front of him that fluctuated with rules, his voice tinged with contempt as he righteously pocketed all the artifacts that the goddess had taken out,
“Far from enough, but consider it a deposit. I reluctantly accept it.”
“I…”
The hand of Yelin Jaluo, the goddess of [War] and Victory, stiffened mid-air, halting after a single word as it was too late; all the artifacts she had intended for Muria to choose from had been taken by him.
“Is there a problem?” Muria looked up at the goddess, whose expression had stiffened.
“No, there isn’t.” Although it pained her, her goal had been achieved, so the goddess still managed a smile, “You’ve agreed to help me?”
“Hmm, but you must be prepared with a complete plan. As things stand now, even if I give my all to help you, the two of us together couldn’t possibly kill your father.”
It was the goddess’s father, also known as the lord of the mountains, whose presence was unclear to Muria, but just based on the Divine Power Level and his divine roles, he knew this deity was incredibly resilient.
“That’s also an issue. This old man’s offensive capabilities are only average among those with Powerful Divine Force, but his defense is unsurpassed by any deity I know.”
The goddess’s expression darkened, seemingly due to her lineage from the Primordial Ancient Gods. Although she ruled over [War] and [Hope], these roles had little influence on her temperament.
“How strong is he?”
“The old man has a piece of armor called Mountain Armor. I saw him wearing the Mountain Armor and fighting another deity with Powerful Divine Force. The strongest attack from that deity only managed to chip off some fragments and didn’t harm his divine body.”
“…” Muria fell silent, listening quietly as the goddess spoke, doubting whether she was sane. If her father’s defense was impervious even to Powerful Divine Force, how could she even think of overthrowing him?
“Mainly, it was also because the deity fighting my father controlled the sea domain, which naturally conflicates with my father, and doesn’t have much destructive power. Hence, it ended up being quite embarrassing. If it were roles like [Death] or Slaughter, the outcome would definitely be different.”
…
While Muria and the goddess were discussing how to kill her father and then inherit his legacy,
in one of the Floating Cities in the Domain that Muria had already constructed and prepared as a base, a young girl, who didn’t join her sisters in eagerly watching their father bring back a goddess, returned here at the first opportunity and found a weak-looking young girl admiring the scenery.
“Haven’t you remembered your true identity yet, Mother?”
Gladys looked at the delicate young girl, her expression filled with helplessness, “If you can’t remember your true identity soon, Father might end up doing something to wrong you.”
“Gladys, you’re here.”
Seeing the girl with twelve Light Wings arrive, the girl sitting at the edge of a lookout in the Floating City turned around, showing a slight smile, gentle and polite, exuding a dignified and elegant temperament.
Seeing such a demeanor, Gladys frowned, as this was not what she wanted to see.
“Still the same as before?”
Muria’s eldest daughter sighed, not hiding her disappointment in front of her mother’s reincarnated form.
“It seems my current state has disappointed you again. I’m sorry, but I really can’t remember anything related to you,” the princess from the Yuguang Civilization apologized lightly.
“There’s no need to apologize. Even if you can’t remember anything, you are still my mother. It’s unreasonable for a mother to apologize to her daughter.”
Gladys turned her body, calming the slight agitation in her heart.
“What happened?” The girl, perfectly embodying the Yuguang Civilization’s definition of a princess, asked with a curious look on her face.
“My father, also your partner, somehow brought back a goddess and went straight into a palace, cutting off all perceptions. I don’t know what they are doing now.”
By phrasing it so ambiguously and deliberately vague, Gladys intentionally wanted to stir her mother from her slumber.
“Hmm, what’s going on?”
Although she had no memory of any interactions with the being named Muria, the Princess of the Holy Light still felt an inexplicable rage, originating from deep within her soul.
“Well, here’s the thing…”
Gladys, who had come to stir trouble deliberately, noticed the change and then began to detail the events.
Thus, as Muria’s eldest daughter narrated, the elegant demeanor of the Princess of the Holy Light gradually faded, and in her eyes, red Flames ignited…
