Chapter 1315 - 1315 1300 Deification
Chapter 1315: Chapter 1300: Deification Chapter 1315: Chapter 1300: Deification The dark Void was torn apart by surging energy flows, and a being emanating golden light, its form indistinct, stepped out from it. It stood amidst the Void, with a wheel behind it that slowly spun, inscribed with Ancient Divine Text that articulated the evolution of rules.
“Back again!”
Muria whispered, and though he knew his current appearance was a bit flamboyant, he had no intention of putting away the Luo Tian Mirror on his back. He had specially forged this piece of equipment for exploration, vigilance, and to obscure his own information.
Though named the Luo Tian Mirror, its shape was more akin to a Divine Wheel, as its center held no mirror surface but was instead comprised of twelve Divine Wheels of varying sizes, which operated independently according to Muria’s needs, exploring the vastness of creation.
Since it was an auxiliary piece of equipment, Muria always carried it with him instead of storing it within his body to nurture; there was no need for that.
Therefore, Muria had a clear understanding of all information within tens of thousands of miles around him; although this added some burden to his spirit, it was quite worth it compared to the information he gained.
“A great world!”
Looking down at the World Barrier below, which appeared similar to a Medium-sized World, Muria couldn’t help revealing a hint of eagerness in his eyes. This place would become his rising ground.
Ascending to divinity in Erathia World was simply an act of self-destruction since all paths of advancement had been cut off. Those powerful God Positions, every single one of them, were already claimed, and deities essentially never retire.
But this Cluster World was different. According to Muria’s observations, although there were already divine systems in the world, there were still a vast number of vacant God Positions.
In other words, a great deal of divine power was scattered about, and newcomers seeking ascent had plenty of room. For someone like Muria with ulterior motives, this was a shortcut for scheming to dominate the grand world.
Thinking of the source power he could control after becoming the Dominator of a great world, Muria hesitated no more and entered the great world in his Titan True Form, feeling a stagnation that he had never experienced before.
For the first time, Muria felt this uncomfortable sensation. It was like entering a narrow, constrictive gel where each advance required a significant expenditure of strength, and any relaxation would result in being expelled a distance away.
“So this is a great world!”
Forcing his way into the World Barrier and feeling the repelling forces coming from all directions, Muria marveled at how clearly this repulsion demonstrated the defense strength of a grand world.
According to Muria’s judgement, those Epics with just a shallow foundation, having just ascended, would probably not be able to break through this barrier even if they exerted all their strength.
Therefore, one could see just how astonishing a great world was. One must understand that the World Barrier was only the most basic passive defense for a world; the real defense system was the deities controlling the divine powers.
Of course, there were quite a few methods to bypass the World Barrier. For example, the Heavenly Demon Secret Technique controlled by Muria could conceal himself, disguise as a lower life form, and directly infiltrate.
Muria’s method of breaking in through sheer strength was very rare. The reason he chose to confront it head-on was purely to announce his arrival to this world and to draw the attention of the Great World Will.
…
Barren and silent, in a world that had lost all vitality due to plundering not long ago, murky grey clouds drifted in the sky, and black and yellow haze churned between heaven and earth.
Just as this dead world seemed determined to keep on sinking forever, the grey clouds in the sky suddenly stirred. Golden Lightning Arcs shined in the sky, sweeping away the filth of the world.
And as time passed, the electric arcs shining in the sky grew thicker, transforming into lightning Dragon Snakes roaming the sky. Nevertheless, these phenomena were merely a sign of the impending arrival of some existence.
Boom!
The sky cracked open, a magnificent Golden Thunderbolt waterfall descended from the heavens, cutting through the somber grey clouds, and then striking the earth directly. The ground began to shake violently, and the area hit by the thunderbolt rapidly fractured and sank at a visible rate.
Outside the range of the thunderbolt strikes, as the interior landmasses continued to descend, the peripheral plates rose, resulting in the formation of a gargantuan ring-shaped mountain range with a radius of tens of thousands of kilometers.
Such a massive terrain change in such a short time would be a world-ending disaster for any medium-sized world, but for this lifeless world, it hardly mattered anymore. It couldn’t get any worse.
So the only impact Muria had on this realm was the creation of a vast prairie and a super ring mountain that encompassed the entire prairie.
Muria, who had successfully broken through the World Barrier, paid no heed to the impact he had caused on the land of the realm. He stood above the Lava Pool that had formed due to his arrival, looking up at the sky gradually covered by dark clouds, with an indifferent smile on his face.
Even with the aid of the Luo Tian Mirror, expanding the scope of his reconnaissance, Muria was unable to discern just how vast the thunderous black clouds above his head were, as they had appeared in response to his coming, a Heavenly Punishment.
For a being like him, capable of threatening the very foundation of the world, the Heavenly Punishment that befell from the world was meant to annihilate. As long as he did not die, the descending Golden Thunderbolts would not stop.
But Muria had anticipated such a situation, and the solution was simple.
“I desire to ascend to godhood in this realm.”
Muria looked up and whispered to the sky, where nothing but black clouds and Golden Thunderbolts accompanied the emptiness. Subsequently, the sparking Golden Thunderbolts within the clouds momentarily stilled, then slowly faded into obscurity.
However, although the Golden Thunderbolts temporarily vanished, the tumultuous black clouds in the sky did not dissipate, for Muria had not yet proven his words through deeds.
“Muria, have you decided?” Just as Muria was preparing to demonstrate his resolve to the already present Great World Will, a deep and authoritative voice echoed by his ear, and then the space before him tore open, revealing the familiar figure of his ancestor.
“I have decided, Ancestor.” Muria responded solemnly.
“Muria, you’re seeking to ascend to godhood? Why am I only hearing about this now?”
But just then, a voice tinged with mild surprise rose behind the Shiyu Dominator. As the Shiyu Dominator turned slightly aside, Muria saw through the rift torn open by the formidable might of the Dominator, a familiar silhouette—his father, Ansol.
“Ahem, after discussing initially with my mother, I approached Ancestor Shiyu to speak of this matter, then proceeded to execute it immediately.”
Upon seeing his father, Muria felt slightly embarrassed, as he had never intended to consult with his father about this matter. He was not unaware of the typical Titan’s view on gods of the world and saw no need to seek his father’s approval for such matters, which would only bring discomfort.
“Ansol, don’t say that you didn’t know, I too found out just now. Muria, this lad, is actually planning to ascend to godhood right here,” the Golden Dragon casually flew out, his demeanor leisurely as he surveyed the Heavenly Punishment above.
“Grandfather!” Muria’s embarrassment faded upon seeing Dimos. The Shiyu Dominator had brought not only his parents but also the elders related to him, which undoubtedly greatly eased his current discomfort.
“I didn’t know about this either.” The aura of Sanguinary Qi spread as Titan Grandfather Ackmond stepped forward, inspecting Muria with a scrutinizing gaze, devoid of any expression.
“It seems like only Atreus and Elder Shiyu were aware of this matter, haha. Muria, when were you planning to inform us? If it wasn’t for Elder Shiyu, would you have kept it concealed until we encountered the god you’d become, before you were willing to confess?”
The light emanating from Dimos dissolved the Sanguinary Qi spilling from Ackmond, maintaining a peaceful atmosphere in the area, preventing it from resembling a battlefield.
“Well, I feared your opposition, so I intended to tell you after everything had settled,” Muria explained with an awkward laugh. Contrary to his expectations, Titan Grandfather Ackmond’s reaction was the complete opposite of what he had thought.
“What’s there to oppose? You’re merely at the Source Integration Realm, yet you have the courage to vie for the dominion of a Great World. Such boldness and ambition—I support you.”
Ackmond looked at his grandson with admiration, and these words caught Muria completely off guard. After reflecting on his grandfather’s life experience, he suddenly understood.
In brazenness, his actions were comparable to his grandfather’s participation in the unification war of a World Community. Of course, relatively speaking, his approach was still somewhat more prudent.
After all, participating in the war of a World Community always carried the danger of falling, even for Epics. Whereas aspiring to the position of the dominion over a Great World, even if unsuccessful, would at the very least secure him a Deity capable of coexisting with the world.
“Muria, the wild ambitions you possess are based on the information you have now, which makes the world seem so trivial. But do you truly understand this world?” Dimos spoke very seriously, though his demeanor was typically calm.
“I understand, Grandfather, but deities differ from Epics. Those unknown threats you’re worried about—once I become a god, it likely won’t be long before I gain the power to confront them.”
“Since you’ve thought it through, I’ll say no more,” sighed Dimos lightly. He opposed the matter, but Muria had made up his mind, so he would not interfere further.
“Muria, since you’ve made up your mind, we won’t say much more. Begin, for if you don’t start soon, the thunder above your head will start to strike,” urged the Dragon Mother Atreus.
“Yes!”
Muria gazed up at the sky, his mind stirring ever so slightly, and the vast black clouds above began to transform.
