Chapter 1303 - 1303 1288 Enlightenment from the Divine
Chapter 1303: Chapter 1288: Enlightenment from the Divine Beings Chapter 1303: Chapter 1288: Enlightenment from the Divine Beings “Is there a way to become as powerful as the Ancestor Shiyu in a short amount of time?”
Frowning in thought, Muria, who was being pulled back to the Cluster World Community by the Golden Dragon Mother, had taken a heavy beating by the Insect Queen. One could say that he lost everything except for his life.
The Subordinate Army suffered heavy losses, and almost all of their weapons and armor had been shattered, now nothing but a pile of scraps. As for himself, all that remained was his life—he had suffered severe loss of vitality and his soul was also significantly damaged.
As a price for such devastating losses, he had acquired experience in a life-and-death struggle at the Epic level close to a Pseudo-realm, which deepened his understanding of the Laws.
If one were to simply view this as a transaction, Muria didn’t consider it a loss. But how could such a matter be casually treated as a mere trade? Regardless, Muria was incredibly pained by his own losses.
He felt that he had suffered a huge loss, but regaining his ground would also be a challenging task. After all, at the Epic level, the thought of randomly acquiring some treasures to drastically increase his power and cultivation was unthinkable—the Void simply did not contain such things.
“There’s no need to reach the level of Ancestor Shiyu, becoming as strong as Grandfather in a short amount of time would do as well.”
As he indulged in various fantasies, the image of his Titan grandfather appeared in Muria’s mind. He knew it was wishful thinking, but that didn’t stop him from dreaming.
“Atris, Muria, why do you both look so miserable?”
A somewhat surprised voice rang out. Muria followed the voice and immediately saw his father, who bore a striking resemblance in temperament to his grandfather. Behind his father, Muria caught sight of half of an Insect Nest Planet.
“…” Seeing his father, who was clearly returning triumphant, Muria couldn’t help but fall silent.
Due to his own shrewd moves, Muria considered his strength to have surpassed his father’s; if he were to have a head-on duel with Ansol, to put it bluntly, his dad couldn’t beat him.
But it was maddening that his less powerful father could triumphantly bring back half of an Insect Nest, while he and his mother, who were slightly stronger, hung their heads in defeat, looking like lost dogs.
This could only mean one thing: his father’s opponent was not as strong as the Queen he faced. But there was no place to argue such matters. For all the explanations, it still boiled down to his loss, while his father had won.
“Ansol, not a bad haul, tsk, you really do have good luck!” Seeing her partner and feeling that she had suffered a substantial loss, the Golden Dragon Mother’s tone could not help but have a sour note.
“What luck?” Upon hearing the words of the Golden Dragon Mother, Ansol immediately became displeased. With a raised eyebrow, he made it clear that the captured Insect Nest wasn’t just picked up along the way, but fought for with his fists and feet.
“Don’t be so smug. Do you know what Muria and I encountered? A queen on the verge of breaking through to creation. If you had met such a being, it’s uncertain if you would have fared any better than us.”
“A queen on the verge of breaking through to creation?” Ansol muttered, then came to a realization, looking at the Golden Dragon Mother and Muria with a smirk, “Isn’t that just a Pseudo-realm?”
“This is much stronger than a typical Pseudo-realm; how can you generalize like that?” the Golden Dragon Mother argued.
Hearing the Golden Dragon Mother’s words, Muria’s gaze involuntarily shifted aside. Although as the loser, it was only right to boast about the strength of his opponent, but even so, Muria could not bring himself to blatantly lie.
The Queen who had given him and the Golden Dragon Mother a thorough beating was indeed powerful, but to say she was on the verge of a breakthrough, Muria thought she’d first need to settle down for fifty or eighty thousand years. Of course, Muria didn’t know what realm the Queen had reached, so he couldn’t say that the Golden Dragon Mother was completely fabricating things.
Afterward, in the Void outside the Domain beaten by the Insect Clan Hoho in the Cluster World, Muria saw the Titans who had gone into battle with him returning alone or in groups. Some were as miserable as him, while others, like his father, returned with full spoils.
However, those Titans who appeared as distraught as he was, having faced higher echelons of Epic struggle, looked shabby, but each of them had eyes shining with divine light, seemingly having gained much from the experience.
As these few Dragon Kings observed each other, a complex rule essence descended, and all the Titans who were sharing the gains of their recent battles fell silent.
“Well done.”
When the Titan holding the scepter appeared, he glanced at the Epics present, treating those in dire straits indifferently, showing no different expression.
“Follow me inside.”
After the Epics replied in unison, the Shiyu Dominator waved the scepter, and in front of an admiring Muria, led the ten Epics back into the Cluster World.
When they breached the World Barrier, in a moment of vagueness, Muria thought he heard the World’s discontent…and helplessness, no, not willing to go back in.
But the World’s resistance was easily suppressed by the Shiyu Dominator, who forcibly led all the Epics inside.
“Put on your Reincarnated Bodies; we must still show some respect to the Great World Will. Later, if you see something that tempts you, exercise restraint in your actions, and take care not to cause too much destruction to the world.”
…
“When will I be able to possess the power that even makes the Great World Will bow its head and pretend to be blind?”
Above the azure ocean, islands teeming with lush vegetation and bursting with life dotted the seascape. Beneath the blue sky, a figure suddenly appeared as if tossed there by some entity, and not even a moment later, a graceful figure emerged beside him.
“You could just take a nap now, and you’d have it all in your dreams,” the Golden Dragon Mother said, rolling her eyes upon hearing her son’s admiration. The realm of a Shiyu Dominator was not something one could ascend to through mere bitter cultivation or resource accumulation; it also required personal comprehension and a bit of luck.
“Hm?”
Just as Muria was about to make a cheeky retort to his mother, he sensed a familiar yet dangerous presence that even his true form perceived as threatening.
“Tch, you really know how to pick a spot. We just got here and we’re about to fight? Didn’t you say this is the territory of that student you took in?”
Muria narrowed his eyes and remained silent.
As the Golden Dragon Mother finished speaking, right in front of Muria, the Void split open, and a deity cloaked in visibly powerful Faith emerged.
The reason for the term “emerged” was because this deity’s form was the extremely classic human-headed serpent. His upper body was that of a black-haired man with exceptionally well-proportioned muscles and an ordinary face; from the waist down, he had a serpent’s tail lined with green scales which were each engraved with naturally occurring divine glyphs.
“Teacher!”
On seeing Muria, the deity cried out with a tone of delightful surprise, using a title he previously was reluctant to employ, and unlike before, he no longer harbored any fear or anxiety—for he had become a True God in command of divine power.
“Truly remarkable!”
Muria did not skimp on his praise for his current student. Although he had known since their first meeting that the student would ascend to godhood in an extraordinarily short time, the quickness of it had still taken him by surprise. Was this truly due to being a favored child of the world’s destiny?
“It’s all thanks to you, Teacher. Your guidance back then was excellent. Without you, I definitely wouldn’t have the achievements I have today,” replied Jiuli with humility, confident in standing before Muria as he now believed that even in the worst-case scenario, he could ensure his own safety.
“Heh heh,” Muria chuckled at such modest words, not taking them seriously.
His student’s current achievements were the inevitable result of changes within the Great World. Whether or not he had intervened, the outcome was predestined; Muria’s actions merely expedited its arrival.
“Tell me about your experiences over these years! Your current achievements have vastly exceeded my expectations of you,” Muria said.
“Teacher, there is my temple below. Please, I invite you to take a seat inside, and I’ll tell you about my journey in detail,” the disciple invited.
“Good!”
Muria gladly accepted the invitation, seemingly without any guard up. His student was just a True God who could freely move within the Great World. If he dared to play any tricks, Muria was confident he could still suppress him.
…
“Seizing the believers of other deities? That’s certainly audacious. Aren’t you afraid of being cornered by those deities?”
After hearing about Jiuli’s rise to godhood, Muria couldn’t help but marvel at his student’s daring post-ascension actions. His disciple had taken his teachings about manipulating spatial tunnels between sealed domains and applied them in a new way, snatching the believers of more than a dozen True Gods by force.
Normally such endeavors would have a ninetieth percent chance of failing disastrously, yet his student had succeeded, suddenly gaining a foundation that surpassed the vast majority of deities.
“So what if I’m cornered? At worst, I’ll just fight them, and anyway, most of those I’ve targeted can’t beat me,” Jiuli said nonchalantly.
“Huh, and here I thought you had rashly implemented that audacious plan without preparation. Turns out you did your homework first.”
“Of course, those deities actually belong to two factions that are hostile to each other. I simply took advantage of their infighting to raid their strongholds,” Jiuli explained.
“Not bad, just the spoils from that one battle would take you a thousand years to fully absorb. If you manage to assimilate their foundations, becoming an entity with Powerful Divine Force is only a matter of time.”
