Chapter 1294: Chapter 1280 Wild Output Chapter 1294: Chapter 1280 Wild Output “What have you done to my daughter?”
The Empress of the Insect Race from Dream Palace angrily questioned Muria. Her daughter’s transformation was too extraordinary, and as a mother, she understood everything about her daughter. Under normal circumstances, her daughter would never have displayed such behavior, so the origin of all these problems must certainly be these Void Overlords— it was they who had twisted her daughter’s personality.
“Don’t ask me; I have no idea.”
Muria replied cheerfully and then sliced an oncoming Battle Insect of the race in two with a single stroke. The powerful aura of death instantly eradicated the vibrant life force of the insect race, and without the support of this life force, the specially crafted Battle Insect for Muria immediately lost its regenerative ability and turned into a carcass.
“By the way, are you stalling for time?” Muria curiously asked. “Are your reinforcements about to arrive? How much longer? How many? What is their strength like?”
Upon hearing Muria’s questions, the Empress of the Insect Race didn’t even bother to utter a response, instead intently producing more Battle Insects with formidable defensive power. Who would answer such questions? Did they take her for an idiot? This was her last chance for survival.
“It doesn’t matter if you don’t answer. You should just pray that your reinforcements arrive before I tear apart your insect nest. Otherwise, you might want to watch more closely what your daughter is doing—perhaps you might even have an opportunity to learn from her.”
Muria didn’t care in the slightest whether the Empress of the Insect Race would have reinforcements or not. Not to mention there were two Dragon Kings supporting him from behind; the Shiyu Dominators hadn’t even made a move yet. With these ancestors behind him, what was there to fear? Furthermore, on his side, there were far more than just one Shiyu Dominator.
…
“Tsk, Your Majesty the Empress, haven’t your reinforcements arrived yet? If not, you may end up with the same fate as your daughter. Though making you as docile as your daughter might take quite some effort, as you know, time is what we have the most.”
The voice that rose was relaxed and mocking, and accompanying this voice, a blade light that crazily expanded to ten thousand meters in the Void brutally descended upon the Insect Planet. Subsequently, highly nutritious insect fluids spewed out in the Void, followed by a chunk of biological tissue the size of a small landmass detaching from the planet.
Such enormous chunks of flesh, severed from the Insect Planet, were not uncommon in the vicinity, there were quite a number of them; as a result, the Insect Planet had turned into an irregular ellipse filled with pits and craters.
Muria could even sense the increasingly distinct aura of the Empress of the Insect Race, but even after he had slashed her to such an extent, the Empress showed no intention of emerging from the insect nest.
“We’ve been fighting for so long; don’t you plan to come out and meet me? Don’t you find this to be very impolite?” Muria continued to slice at the Insect Planet while proactively trying to communicate with the Empress of the Insect Race.
However, the Empress of the Insect Race completely ignored Muria, controlling her own insect nest, mobilizing all resources she could to produce various Battle Insects, holding her ground against the attacks from Muria’s Subordinate Army.
Regrettably, without an Epic force of the Insect Race to restrain Muria, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t reverse her own downfall. In the face of Epic power, all strategies and calculations were nothing more than a joke.
Undisturbed by the increasingly silent Empress of the Insect Race, Muria continued to tease her while wielding one of the Nine Weapons, hacking at her insect nest.
An Epic who only takes hits without fighting back is hard to find; logically speaking, it’s possible that only the Insect Race, with an Empress like her who is not skilled in combat, can be found throughout the Void.
Um, of course, one shouldn’t jump to conclusions too soon; maybe it’s just that this Empress of the Insect Race and her daughter are incompetent in battle, while other Empresses of the Insect Race might be exceptionally strong.
To judge an entire race based on just one or two individuals is undoubtedly a narrow and foolish act.
Not two leaves on the same tree can be identical, and naturally, there won’t be identical creatures within a race. There must be differences between individuals, and this is the basis for the flourishing of all things.
Therefore, to define an entire race by the actions and behavior of a few individuals within that race is either stupid, malicious, or perhaps a combination of both.
“An Epic whose main strength relies on external factors; honestly, after my travels in the Void, I never imagined such beings could exist. This time, I’ve truly gained new insight.”
Millions of miles away from the epic battleground, in an out-of-place classical garden, two Dragon Kings, taking on human forms, sat comfortably in a pavilion, sipping tea served by a young Empress of the Insect Race, all while leisurely watching the battle unfold.
“Truly bizarre. It’s just unclear whether this particular Empress of the Insect Race is such a waste, or if the entire race is like this.” The Golden Dragon Mother chuckled merrily, feeling very pleased with herself as she had tamed the previously stubborn young Empress.
“It’s unlikely for the entire race. If that were the case, the Empress herself would become the greatest weakness. Only with that level of strength would it be impossible for them to develop at all.”
Dimos pondered for a moment and shook his head; he couldn’t believe that a race with such a glaring flaw could exist. Such a race would have been destroyed before it could develop, unable to survive until now. Did they really think the Void was some sort of forgiving Void?
This place was one where even Legends barely qualified to survive, and bad luck could lead to encounters with Void Evil Gods that destroyed worlds and plundered all creation. With weaker beings, these monsters wouldn’t show any mercy.
“So, we’re dealing with a weakling—yes, that would make sense.”
“My mother is not weak.” Hearing the evaluation of her mother by the two Dominators, the little empress whispered in a voice as faint as a mosquito’s buzz, but in the distant Void, the outcome of the battle was so clear that her words seemed utterly unconvincing and even somewhat ridiculous.
“Heh,” Dimos chuckled. For someone to praise an opponent he had defeated was a good thing, for it made him seem even more exceptional. By the same token, belittling his opponent also amounted to belittling himself.
“Something big is coming our way.”
Golden Dragon Mother, who was observing the battlefield while occasionally teasing her new handmaid, suddenly furrowed her brows. The playful and irreverent expression on her face vanished, replaced by a seriousness that caused the little empress’s heart to skip a beat, her face involuntarily showing a glimmer of hope.
…
Clang!
A clear metallic tremor that rang out in the Void when a powerful weapon struck a hard object, accompanied by a sound wave ripple visible to the naked eye.
However, this spreading ripple did not harm any beings, for those who could still remain on this battlefield were not from the weaker sort, all were creatures with keen eyes, keeping their distance from the most powerful entity there.
At this moment, the influencer of this war, who was also in the advantageous position, saw the hand that emerged from the Insect Nest and grabbed the war knife, and he couldn’t help but be dumbfounded,
“Aren’t you quite the fighter? Why do you keep hiding inside and not come out? Do you really need me to almost hack your Insect Nest to pieces before you show yourself?”
“Hmph!”
The owner of the Insect Nest let out an angry roar. With a gentle shake of his hand, an overwhelming force traveled along the war knife to Muria, pushing his body away over a distance.
“This strength isn’t bad at all!”
Having experienced the power of the Battle Insect Queen, Muria smacked his lips and his eyes began to shine with a golden light, which piqued his interest.
So, under Muria’s watchful waiting, he saw a figure with a curvaceous body and exquisite curves emerge from the broken Insect Nest. She radiated a powerful life force comparable to Muria, who was on the brink of advancing. Her eyes sparkled brilliantly, like the radiant morning stars.
What captured Muria’s attention even more was that this being wore a black and gold armor that perfectly fit her figure. With Muria’s keen vision, he could tell that, like him, the armor had completely integrated into her body, becoming a part of her, not an external object.
“Hahaha, you should have come out earlier.”
Muria drew out his Prison-suppression halberd, then, laughing loudly, he charged at the Dream Palace Empress, swinging his halberd directly at her head without mercy. And as he expected, the Empress simply raised her arm, effortlessly blocking his slash with her powerful physique and exaggerated defense.
Clang~
Hum~
Whine~
The Dream Palace Empress’s performance only further stimulated Muria, exciting him as he was surrounded by his Exclusive Weapons. Then, several faint shadows appeared, each a duplicate of himself,
In an instant, the Dream Palace Empress, who reluctantly came out to fight, thought she was battling against nine Dominators at the same time. In fact, in a sense, she was not wrong, because the extreme combat power Muria had unleashed was just that,
Suddenly, a black and gold silhouette fell from the Void, crashing onto the broken Insect Nest, and before she had a chance to regroup, the illusions that Muria had manifested had already collapsed completely, and he plummeted towards the Battle Insect Queen.
Boom!
A violent quake shattered the heavens and earth as Muria’s foot stomped down on the Dream Palace Empress, engaging her in close combat. To his surprise, he discovered that the Empress was all show and no substance, totally lacking the combat awareness that matched her strength. Thus, under Muria’s wild onslaught, the Empress became increasingly disheveled, unable to defend herself.
And this embarrassing spectacle of being dominated continued until the appearance of a Void-tearing long spear, which brought the difficult situation to a reluctant end.
As for Muria, he vanished from atop the Empress the moment the long spear made its sudden appearance, yet the spear, like a maggot to bone, relentlessly pursued…
