King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 1278 - 1278 1264 Insect Race Empress
Chapter 1278: Chapter 1264: Insect Race Empress Chapter 1278: Chapter 1264: Insect Race Empress “Hmm? Grandfather, what trouble have you encountered?”
Suddenly contacted by his grandfather, Muria didn’t find it surprising; it was quite normal. Although they were infinitely far apart in terms of physical distance, from another perspective, they were now in the same world.
What truly astonished Muria was that his grandfather would actually seek his help. What kind of situation could have forced him to make such a choice? Dragons are rather proud creatures.
“A bunch of nasty insects!” Dimos spoke with a hint of displeasure, “If you have nothing urgent, come to my location as quickly as possible and help me. I’m struggling to cope.”
“Epics or Deities?” Muria asked with an odd tone. Insects? Just how strong would insects have to be to compel his grandfather to seek outside assistance, and even turn to his grandson for it?
“Uncertain, but the likelihood of Epics is high!”
“Understood, I’ll be right there.” Muria didn’t ask any further questions. Judging by his grandfather’s demeanor, he was probably facing off against a swarm of insects and likely hadn’t gained the upper hand, perhaps even suffering some minor losses.
“Hmm!” The light and shadow of Dimos disappeared, and at the same time, the oppressive aura that silenced Red Dragon Auston also dissipated.
“Is it Lord Dimos?” Red Dragon Auston had a fresh memory of Muria’s Dragon King grandfather. That was because he had ascended to Epics before Auston was even born and had the fortune to interact with him during his youth.
“Yes! He’s run into some trouble, but it’s nothing serious.” Muria, seeing the look of yearning in the eyes of Red Dragon Auston, smiled, “Remember to perform well when you come with me.”
“Can I really be of help to Lord Dimos?” Red Dragon Auston was incredibly surprised. Such a problem was troubling even to the Epics, and he could help solve it?
“You are now a High-level Legend. Such strength is enough to qualify ancient dragons like you as reserves for the roles of Dragon King or Dragon God. In this world where Epics are restricted, you can play a significant role.”
“Haha, you flatter me, my Lord.” Hearing what Muria said, Auston couldn’t help but laugh, feeling embarrassed. He was very aware of the immense gap between himself and the ranks of Dragon King and Dragon God and knew there was no point in comparing himself to them.
…
Space trembled in front of Muria, then shattered and twisted, forming a Spatial Tunnel to an exotic realm. A delightful and beautiful scene emerged before him, with a pure white tower reaching into the blue sky dotted with white clouds.
As the Spatial Tunnel stabilized, the human-formed Muria, riding on the back of a hundred-meter long Red Giant Dragon, passed through this Space Gate and descended upon the pinnacle of the high tower.
Then, he saw a group of Dragon People, looking panicked and filled with immense respect as they gazed up at him; their bodies lacked the familiar aura he knew.
Unsurprisingly, these were creations of his grandfather. Like him, they were minions massively produced using the power of his Reincarnated Body.
“Wait here, I’ll go meet my grandfather.” Muria dismounted from Auston’s head, gave an instruction, and proceeded directly into the tower to find the strongest presence within this high-reaching structure.
“You’ve arrived.”
Inside the high tower, the Dragon King, perched upon a Golden Jade Bed, turned his head and gazed down at the black-haired youth with golden pupils entering the room. His usually emotionless, majestic Dragon’s Eye unexpectedly showed a rare trace of tenderness.
“Grandfather.”
Muria bowed slightly, and then his attention was drawn to a half-transparent, giant crystal next to Dimos. Based on its placement, his grandfather had been examining this crystal—or more precisely, the creature sealed within it—just before his arrival.
Within the golden glowing transparent crystal, a perfectly beautiful female humanoid creature was sealed. She lay there, exuding a protective charm that made one want to shelter her from any harm.
“Such a beautiful creature, grandfather, where did you capture her from?” Muria observed the favorable impression arising in his heart and easily wiped it away before curiously inquiring to his grandfather.
He knew where this fondness originated: firstly, the female creature sealed in the crystal had an appearance that was extremely pleasing to human aesthetics, aligning perfectly with his own as a child of Titan and dragon. Secondly, this beauty naturally possessed an alluring Charm, a power most fearsome. This sealed creature, merely by her natural presence, had managed to influence an Epic.
It wasn’t hard to imagine the pitiful situations of creatures below the rank of Epics when faced with this special being. Those with weaker wills could very likely become Ultimate Bootlickers, willing to give their lives for her.
“Do you feel that power, Muria?”
“Yes, I feel it.”
“This is the reason I asked you to hurry over,” Dimos said as his gaze, full of caution and wariness, rested on the female sealed within the golden crystal.
“As you can see, this beautiful creature I have sealed is a core member of a terrifying race; I suspect that she likely comes from beyond the Void.”
“Hm? Beyond the Void?” Muria became instantly intrigued, “Are you saying that there is another race invading our world besides us?”
“It’s not certain at this point, but I’m not ruling out the possibility,” Dimos said with a hint of sadness, much preferring to avoid a war with another Epic race.
However, judging by the current trends, the grand world he resided in was likely to become a battlefield for two Epic species, and even a grand world could be reduced to ruins.
Of course, this was the worst-case scenario, but it was not unlikely, as their side would never contemplate retreat.
“Can you tell me about how you captured her?” Muria too, felt a sense of gloom. The thought of competing against another Epic race for a grand world was totally unpredictable.
“Let’s start from half a month ago…” Dimos began recounting the capture of this exceptionally charming female.
There was nothing special at first; half a month ago, Dimos waited for the Spatial Tunnel linking his Domain to open, which he had anticipated. But what truly surprised him was the emergence of an endless Bug Tide from the Space Gate.
When these insects first emerged, they were simply a vast, flightless terrestrial kind. Yet, even with these attributes, the Insect Race destroyed the mightiest Legion of a Kingdom with sheer numbers, causing the Kingdom to waver and verge on the brink of collapse within merely three days.
After observing for three days, it was then Dimos made his move, spending less than a quarter of an hour with his Reincarnated Body’s power, summoning the Star Cluster, causing their descent in the Sky.
With an extremely horrifying attack range, he cleansed the area occupied by the Insect Race, after which no more insects emerged from the space, as if the Insect Race’s ruler was frightened by the Dragon King’s might.
“Then, I entered the Space Gate, hoping to find the dominator of these insects. Seeing their war potential, I wanted them to serve me,” explained Dimos, voicing his thoughts at that time. This was a thought held by every Epic, to subdue any Legion that might aid them.
However, the Dragon King did not expect to find behind the Spatial Tunnel, insect buildings towering over the land, absorbing its essence, and battle insects continuously spewing from these buildings.
“These insects were far more astonishing than I imagined. The so-called war potential had already been tapped into by themselves,” the Dragon King said with an expression of emotion, then continued with a warning tone as he looked at Muria,
“I was besieged by an insect sea for three days and three nights. My minions didn’t last even a quarter of an hour before they were blown to dust by a swarm of self-destructing insects.
For me, unable to use the power of my true form, it was an exceptionally difficult battle! You probably can’t imagine it, but I faced only a huge number, not a single Insect Race with the wisdom of high-level Legends, yet I pondered whether to make a sacrifice to allow my true self to intervene.”
“So in the end, did your true self step in?” Muria asked seriously, as this was of great import.
“No. The insects were creating battle units slower than I could destroy them. So in the end, I just used my Reincarnated Body’s strength to obliterate all the Insect Clan’s buildings in that Domain and then found the commander and ruler hidden behind the scenes.”
The Dragon King’s eyes fell upon the female with a pair of soft-looking tentacles on her forehead and a chitin shell that clung perfectly to her figure, “One of the supreme rulers of the Insect Race, a Bug Queen.”
“A Bug Queen?” Muria’s brows furrowed, “How many ‘Queens’ are there? And how strong are they?”
“I’m not quite sure about that. I only eroded part of her memory, and then she released this kind of special crystal and encased herself, so the information I got wasn’t plentiful,” replied Dimos.
Dimos reached out with a Dragon Claw, tapping the golden crystal enclosing the Bug Queen, producing a clear sound.
“No way to break it?” Muria looked at his grandfather.
“I’ve tried, but can’t.”
“What about your true form?”
“My power is still not enough.”
“…” Muria fell silent, knowing very well that the Bug Queen, able to be captured by the power of Legends, when threatened, released a self-encapsulating defensive crystal capable of withstanding Epics. This fact spoke volumes.
