Chapter 1143 - 1143 1130 Fusion Origin Pseudo-realm
Chapter 1143: Chapter 1130: Fusion Origin, Pseudo-realm Chapter 1143: Chapter 1130: Fusion Origin, Pseudo-realm “What are you standing here for, get moving and help out.” A slightly stern reprimand rang in his ear, and the man, somewhat bewildered, raised his head to see the giant standing before him—who was only a head taller than him.
He looked around, then his expression grew even more perplexed, for all around him were various giants, dragging the carcasses of desolate beasts and cleaning the battlefield. However, what surprised the man was that these giants seemed much smaller than he remembered.
But he quickly realized that it wasn’t the giants who had shrunk, but that he had become larger. Because he noticed that everything around him had become smaller, not just the giants.
“Hmm? What are you still looking at?” The stern voice spoke again, it was the giant in front of him, “Why are you not following my orders?”
“I…” The man opened his mouth, just about to say something, but he was shocked to find that he simply could not respond to the giant before him.
Because the heavily armored, formidable giant before him was speaking a language he had never understood—a language that was definitely not human.
Yet, oddly enough, he could understand this language, but when it came to responding in the same language, he found it really difficult.
Unable to reply verbally, the man simply responded with action. After all, it was clear what the seemingly important giant wanted him to do: to transport the remnants of the Evil God’s Followers’ carcasses.
“What on earth just happened?” The man dragged the carcass of a desolate beast and followed other giants moving in the same direction to clear the remains.
Unlike the other giants who walked together, this man, who did not recognize any other giant, proceeded alone and stood out slightly among the many giants.
But at the moment, he did not care about that; he was pondering what had happened to himself. He searched his memory and found that it stopped at the moment when the Divine Machine mutated.
From that moment until now, there was a significant gap in his memory. He remembered nothing about what happened in between, which clearly was not normal.
He remembered the Divine Machine mutating during the fierce battle, with dragons fighting flying desolate beasts in the sky, giants forming battle formations to advance on the land, and blood raining down like showers from the sky…
And now when he came to his senses, the battle was over. The dragons had disappeared from the sky, and the giants had begun to clean up the battlefield.
What happened during this time was a complete mystery to him, as if an inexplicable entity had taken over his body and suppressed his consciousness.
“Body.” The man examined his physique, now radically different from when he had first stepped onto the battlefield, and fell silent.
The body he now possessed was filled with a strength that amazed him; he felt as though he could destroy a fortress city with a simple gesture, yet the immense power made him feel alienated and anxious.
But this power had come too suddenly, transforming him without any warning, and even the giants had come to see him as one of their own.
“This change must have been caused by the Divine Machine, but how could the Divine Machine have such an effect?”
The man quickly attributed the anomaly to the Divine Machine he had customized, but he could not understand how it could have transformed him like this—it made no sense.
If the Divine Machine could truly turn a human into a giant, then mankind would have used it to transform the entire race long ago. No one would refuse such mighty power.
Perplexed, the man could not find an answer, but regardless of his confusion, he could only temporarily accept the fact that he had become a giant and must adapt quickly to this new identity.
He did not know how the true giants would react upon discovering this impostor among them. After all, the process of his transformation into a giant had been anything but smooth.
“So where’s the Divine Machine?” The man suddenly stopped in his tracks as he realized the root cause of his transformation had vanished. And with this thought, he suddenly felt a change within his body.
Then he stared in astonishment at his chest because the hilt of a sword, just the right size for his hands to grip, was slowly extending out from within his chest, a scene so shocking it left him dumbfounded.
So much so that he stood still for quite a while, until he noticed that the giants passing him were looking back at him with glances before snapping back to reality.
“Retract!” The man thought, and then he saw the sword hilt, clearly gleaming with a metallic luster, actually slowly retract back into his chest.
“What is going on? How has the Divine Machine merged with my body?”
The man, with a look of bewilderment, dragged the carcass of the Desolate Beast following the giants and quickly reached their destination. Then, he looked up at the mountain range so tall its peak was impossible to see and was so astonished that his eyes went wide.
This was a mountain made of the corpses of Desolate Beasts. The blood flowing down from this mountain had formed several sizable blood rivers, spreading in all directions.
The blood rivers, filled with strong corrosive properties against the earth, didn’t flow far before being constrained within a certain boundary by an invisible force.
The man was shocked by the sight of the mountain range for a while. When he came to his senses, he hastily threw the carcass in his hands onto the pile, then returned to continue transporting corpses from other parts of the battlefield. Now was not the time to research bodily mutations.
…
“It should be about enough now.”
Muria looked down at the increasingly large pile of corpses and nodded in satisfaction.
To the world, the corpses of the Evil God’s Followers were like toxins in a human body. Although they could be digested over a long period, the region around the mountain of corpses would become a forbidden zone that living beings would avoid during the digestion process.
However, this was not a problem for Muria. He had in his possession an Eternal Tree of Life capable of purifying such filth on a large scale, which had sprouted from a shoot of the World Tree.
“Almost all the minions of the Evil Gods have been cleared from the world. Even if some remain, they’re not a significant issue.”
Under the silent watch of Michaela, Muria once again began to summon his Semi Plane. This time, as the shadow of the Semi Plane emerged from the sky, thunder also appeared, but it was utterly insignificant compared to before. This suggested that the world’s rejection of Muria had plummeted.
“Muria, once you successfully integrate the Semi Plane into the world, your strength will leap once more. When you battle the Evil God thereafter, your chances of victory will be greater,” Michaela said evenly as she watched Muria attempt for a second time to merge the Semi Plane into this world.
She did not deny feeling envious of her husband’s gains. After all, the ability to integrate a small, albeit heavily damaged world on the verge of collapse, was enough to allow Muria to undergo a slight metamorphosis. Once the integration was complete, he would touch the second realm of Epics, Pseudo-realm, by this endeavor.
However, after an initial pang of envy, Michaela returned to her usual state of mind. Although it was amazing that Muria could so quickly touch the second realm of Epics.
But Muria’s approach could only be considered as taking a shortcut, not something that could be considered truly elegant. Because the normal progression to Epics is not like this.
Epics who have just ascended and stepped into the first realm, Fusion with Source Power, need to continuously acquire source power and observe the laws of various worlds. Once the source power in their hands and their understanding of the laws reach a certain level, they begin to create their own world. Then they garner the blessing of the world’s power and undergo a thorough transformation.
This level of Epics, to Mortals, is almost all-knowing and omnipotent. They can answer and grant everything that Mortals need, desire, or think of. Of course, this is only relative to Mortals.
But it is still quite astonishing. It means that Epics who have ascended to the Pseudo-realm have almost no weaknesses.
At this moment, Muria was still far from that realm; he had only just touched the threshold of the Pseudo-realm in terms of sheer force accumulation.
In the domain of laws, he could not compare to a true Epic who had ascended to the Pseudo-realm. If he were to conflict with such an Epic, no matter what race, he would most likely be pinned to the ground and rubbed in the dirt.
“Chances of victory are greater? Can’t you just say that I will definitely win?” Muria, who summoned his Semi Plane with ease this time, asked with a smile.
Even though Muria did not fully understand what level or form the opponent chosen by his grandfather was or what powers it possessed, he could make a rough estimate based on the current state of the world.
This world could only be regarded as a low-level small world. An Evil God interested in such a small world, no matter how strong, could not be exceedingly powerful. The best they could be was Pseudo-realm, but it was more likely they were just at the stage of Fusion with Source Power.
“You dare to claim certain victory when you don’t even know what your opponent looks like? Has the two major gains in succession clouded your judgment? Muria,” Michaela said with a stern look.
“I was just joking. I am preparing for the war every moment,” Muria laughed dryly. Behind him, a near-tangible shadow of the Semi Plane was reflected. The sporadic thunder in the sky, representing nothing more than a token struggle, not even rejection, suggested the world was ready for integration.
“This will be my first battle against an Epic, no matter how much I prepare, it will be insufficient.”
