Chapter 1076 - 1076 1063 Perfect Inheritance

Chapter 1076: Chapter 1063 Perfect Inheritance Chapter 1076: Chapter 1063 Perfect Inheritance “This feeling.” Muria’s eyes sparkled with crimson light, and between his nose and mouth, what he exhaled was no longer scorching flames but a deathly Black Mist.

He raised his hand slightly, then gently clenched it, and with his fist as the center, his palm began to vaporize. In an instant, his body turned into a clump of concentrated Black Qi, with a pair of crimson eyes shining at its center.

“I’ve become a Ghost, and I’ve inherited everything from the other,” Muria said.

The shapeless Black Qi floated in the air, while a pair of blood-red eyes swept around. Since Muria had shifted form, the Domain he had constructed with the body of Yama had dissipated.

Similarly, the Lava Giants that existed because of him now lay scattered as cooling pools of magma, while the Corpse Ghosts that had fought them stood there in bewilderment, clueless about what to make of Muria.

They had just sensed the demise of their creator, but had also witnessed the birth of a new master, which was the cause of their confusion.

Having attacked this new master, they did not know whether to pledge allegiance or flee immediately.

But the truth told these Corpse Ghosts that they were just Corpse Servants, without any choice.

Muria floated above the remnants of these Corpse Ghosts, looking down at the survivors, who were undoubtedly the elite among the ghouls created by the original Ghoul.

The weakest among them had perished in flames the moment Muria unleashed his Domain, then another group was eliminated by the magma during their charge, and yet another batch died in combat against the Lava Giants spawned by Muria’s presence. Those remaining, without a doubt, had decent survival skills.

“It’d be too wasteful to kill them all,” Muria thought as he looked at these Corpse Ghosts. He felt he could command these Corpse Servants, but there was a barrier between them; however, eliminating this barrier was simple.

A faint, hazy Black Mist emanated from Muria’s Ghost Body, enveloping the Corpse Ghosts below.

The surviving Corpse Ghosts, possessing decent intelligence, tried instinctively to dodge the Death Qi Black Mist spread by Muria. Their instincts told them that Muria was hostile and intended to harm them.

But being servants created by a Ghoul, when faced with another Ghost, the absolute hierarchy suppressed them entirely, leaving them no choice but to stand obediently in place, ready to be slaughtered by Muria.

Soon, the Death Qi Black Mist that Muria had released covered them, and under its influence, the Corpse Ghosts trembled violently. Each Corpse Ghost’s body became slightly more robust. When the Black Mist dissipated, the ghosts looked around at each other in a daze, then looked up at the shape-shifting Ghost Body hovering above them and knelt down one after another.

Muria, seeing these thousands of Corpse Servants bowing in worship to him, his eyes flashed a crimson light. Then, from the hem of his robe, black Qi spread out, enveloping all the Corpse Servants, and of course, when he retracted the Black Qi, all the Corpse Servants had disappeared.

“What an interesting ability,” Muria murmured to himself, enjoying the changes after having absorbed these thousands of Corpse Servants, and he smiled contentedly.

He was in the real world, not a game world, so there was no panel to tell him how many skills this form possessed – everything had to be figured out by himself.

For example, after taking these Corpse Servants with him in a special form, he could release them at any time to assist him in battle.

He could even use them as “batteries,” extracting their power directly when faced with special circumstances and depleted strength.

He had just begun to explore these abilities and found that, with preparation, the endurance of a Ghost Form was incredibly powerful. As long as one didn’t do anything foolish, one would almost never run out of strength.

Unfortunately for the Corpse Servants, they met Muria – an unreasonably powerful being. His surging power completely overwhelmed them and devoured their bodies.

“Truly an interesting power. I need to experiment more and see what other characteristics it has,” Muria mused, feeling an inexplicable sense of satisfaction in his body after swallowing the Ghost, like something incomplete had been filled.

“The power of the Flame Demon commands flames, which has nothing to do with the power of death, so why the feeling of satisfaction? There’s no connection between these two powers,” Muria pondered, feeling perplexed by these instinctual sensations.

“The only certainty is that these two powers originate from the same source. The power of the Ghost appears much like an epic power that has been diluted countless times.

“So the humans who inherit these two powers might be descendants of Epics. In other words, the world I was born into this time has given birth to Epics before, and not just any Epics, but one that possessed multiple powers. If that’s the case, then this world is indeed valuable.”

Muria pondered as he floated above the giant, who was feigning death on the ground below. Suddenly feeling a surge of mischief, chains made of Death Qi materialized and surged out from his ever-changing form, entwining towards the giant on the ground.

“Kid, although I haven’t taught you much, I am, at least nominally, your teacher! Plus, I’ve never wronged you!”

Just as the chains were about to touch the giant, the behemoth who had spilled a lot of blood underneath him vanished instantly from the spot, reappearing hundreds of meters away with a wary expression as he looked at Muria.

He witnessed everything that had just happened. The once weakest Muria, who needed his protection to survive, erupted with a battle power that overwhelmed everyone in an instant, devoured the Ghost that had attacked them, and then transformed into this ghostly figure before him. The rapid reversal of the situation left him bewildered.

Although the Ghost had been killed by his nominal student, the giant’s heart did not brim with joy, because he realized he had seen something he should not have.

The strength his nominal student had just displayed was obviously not some sort of breakthrough in the midst of battle. The power growth from a breakthrough wasn’t nearly this terrifying. Since it wasn’t a breakthrough, then it must mean that Arnold had always possessed this strength.

But up until now, he had kept this power hidden, undetected by others. This raised the question: if Arnold possessed such powerful strength, why would he hide it? The reason behind it was chilling to contemplate.

“Since you never taught me anything, your claim of being a teacher is only nominal.” Muria, in his Ghost Form, formed a sneering smile towards the giant. Under the influence of his current form, the smile appeared especially sinister, “So, I’ll ‘take care’ of you…”

“I promise I won’t tell anyone what I saw just now. Can you, considering that I was your teacher, spare me?”

With Muria’s hidden strength as a premise, the giant’s mind spawned a grand plan. The more he thought about it, the more nervous he became, for he felt he had glimpsed just the tip of a monumental conspiracy iceberg, thinking that Muria was about to silence him to keep his mouth shut.

“Hm.”

Muria fell into contemplation. The battle power he had just unleashed explosively only had the giant as its witness. As long as he kept the giant silent, no one else would know of it. At this stage, Muria did not wish to draw too much attention.

Muria realized that the world was deeper than he had imagined; Epics weren’t the pinnacle of military force in this world. There might indeed be Legends present here.

“As long as you don’t kill me, I can join you and serve you.” Seeing Muria sink into thought, the giant became even more nervous, and in order to survive, he offered a new proposition. He did not wish to die in such a suffocating way.

Muria: “?”

Upon hearing the giant’s words, Muria was slightly taken aback. Join what exactly? But then he quickly understood—the fellow looked simple and straightforward, but his imagination was exceedingly rich, probably because of Muria’s recent display, causing him to conjecture something.

And since that was the case, Muria certainly wasn’t going to be polite about it, so he nodded slightly, unleashing a muffled response, “Alright.”

“Then, can you change back?” The giant, relieved upon Muria’s agreement, cautiously probed.

From that moment just past, the relationship between him and Muria had changed—from master and disciple to one of superior and subordinate.

“That’s possible.” The Black Mist engulfing Ghost Form Muria began to collapse inward towards the center, and a calm-faced child with an impeccable appearance stood erect in the air.

“Let’s go, back home.” Muria glanced at the giant and then landed on his shoulder. His wounds had mostly healed, with no outward signs of aberration anymore.

“How… how strong are you exactly? How many times have you awakened?” The giant, with the two wings on his back, soared into the sky on their return journey. He originally wanted to use his usual way of addressing Muria, but he stifled it and instead asked the question that most intrigued him.

Muria glanced at him and did not answer, prompting the giant to sheepishly shut his mouth, thinking Muria found him talkative, asking questions he shouldn’t have.

“I’m so foolish. He’s gone to such lengths to hide his strength, and here I am, asking such questions. Am I asking for trouble?”

What the self-reflective giant did not know was that Muria did not answer because he himself did not know.
