Chapter 1042 - 1042 1029 God Thief Atris

Chapter 1042: 1029 God Thief Atris Chapter 1042: 1029 God Thief Atris “Hahaha, excellent, Emperor Martial Honor and Supreme Martial Honor traveled three thousand miles in a single day, destroying seventeen Different Species fortresses. The preliminary estimate for the number of Different Species killed is close to ten million, including eleven Different Species generals. This is truly a splendid victory.”

In headquarters, the commander, who had always been calm and collected, excitedly looked at the victory report in his hands and burst into laughter. Without a doubt, this was another glorious victory following Muria’s last triumph of slaying five generals.

“Such battle results are just terrifying. How long has it been since our Empire achieved a victory like this?”

“When was the last time we achieved such a result? I can’t quite remember, though I think it was mentioned in the textbooks.”

“Twenty-six years ago, during the great victory at Xerxes, the Empire killed nine Different Species generals and wiped out five million of their army. For that victory, the Empire paid the price of five Titled Star Armor Masters falling and nearly three million soldiers laid to rest with no remains.

These are things that you did not learn in your textbooks. The Empire paid a lot for that victory, and to be honest, when I heard those casualty figures, I didn’t feel like it was a victory at all.”

“But now it’s different. In this victory, our side did not suffer a single casualty.”

“Martial Artists are too terrifying. I’ve already watched the recorded images of that battle. The two Martial Supremes’ targets were the opponents from beginning to end; these battle results were merely a byproduct of their fight.”

“This was also deliberately pursued by them, didn’t you notice? Their movement routes were aimed directly at those Different Species fortresses, which is why they could achieve such a splendid victory. These two Martial Supremes also had their own plans.”

“Alright, without a doubt, this is a great victory that deserves special mention. This victory will surely be recorded in the Epics.”

“We must extensively promote this victory. But these matters don’t need our concern. Right now our biggest issue is to mediate the conflict between the two Martial Supremes and find out why they started fighting.”

“Commander, there’s no conflict between them. They said this battle was just a sparring session between them.”

“A sparring session?” Upon hearing this, most of the officers and messengers in headquarters wore expressions that said ‘are you kidding me?’

“So it was a sparring session!” Even the commander, known for his composure, couldn’t help but twitch at the corners of his mouth upon hearing this reason for the battle. “If that’s really the case, could you ask them if they’re interested in having a sparring session every day?”

A single sparring session cost the Different Species ten million soldiers and eleven generals. If they continued to spar like this, there’d be no need for the human army to lift a finger; the two Martial Supremes could exterminate the entire plummeting species themselves. Of course, he also knew that this was just wishful thinking.

“Your Excellency Commander, why didn’t the Alien King take action when we inflicted such heavy casualties on the Different Species this time?”

“Those Alien Kings must have wanted to intervene early on, but we humans also have beings that are not inferior to the Alien Kings, and so they dare not act rashly. Generals can be retrained, but if they suffer accidents, their species might face extinction. The same goes for us.”

After having a sparring session with his father, which incidentally resulted in the deaths of some Different Species, Muria returned to the Norman Defensive Line feeling refreshed, then naturally received a vast number of awe-filled glances. Muria was quite familiar with these looks and didn’t mind them.

Before long, Muria learned about the results of the sparring with his Father, which was being widely publicized by the Flash Silver Empire. In their promotion, they emphasized that the two Martial Supremes were merely sparring, and the Different Species were collateral deaths.

This dramatically styled victory instantly boosted the morale of the Imperial Army and also gained numerous admirers for Muria and his father among both the army and the Empire.

Following this battle, the Empire established Martial Arts research and began planning to promote Martial Arts. In the eyes of the Empire, even if there was a great chance to win over Ansol in the future, he was not someone they had reared themselves.

Having no sense of belonging to the Empire, Ansol could only be enticed with benefits and was somewhat distrusted. If possible, training their own beings like him was far more reassuring.

Time silently passed, and a month later, Muria received an anticipated communication,

“Little Muria, have you missed me?”

“Not at all,” Muria responded impassively, then inquired, “When are you coming over? Right now, there’s a Martial Arts craze sweeping through the Empire. You can take advantage of the trend and introduce your Martial Arts Hall into the Empire. With my father’s name, your consortium should be able to establish a foothold in the Empire quite quickly.”

“The Empire, huh? Let your father handle that; I’m not in the mood to deal with it right now. I’ve found something really interesting over at the Congregation.”

“What is it?” Seeing that Golden Dragon Mother was considering withdrawing from their alliance, Muria asked with some curiosity.

“Why don’t you guess?”

“You’ve found traces of a True God. And there’s something odd about this deity, something that allows you to gain a great deal of advantage from it.”

“Clever, Muria, truly worthy of being my son,” Golden Dragon Mother exclaimed in admiration as she heard Muria’s conjecture and then began to excitedly explain to him, “Do you know what exactly I discovered?”

“What?”

“Within the Stars Congregation indeed exists a deity, but this deity has absolutely no consciousness of its own!”

“Hmm? How can that be?” Muria was somewhat surprised. Deities born of faith are sacred from birth and naturally comprehend much knowledge. How could there be one without consciousness? That usually only pertains to primordial deities.

“The reason this deity lacks consciousness is entirely due to the deliberate actions of that church. Humans always have such audacity, to even dare manipulate a god.”

“Stop beating around the bush.”

“According to my investigation, this deity of the Stars Congregation was entirely created by these humans. At the moment of its birth, its consciousness was somehow erased by them.”

“So, you mean to say that the Stars Congregation now controls a deity without its own consciousness?”

“Exactly, those fools. A deity without its own consciousness can’t fully utilize its powers. How could mortals possibly understand the rights a deity holds? They know nothing, just bluntly utilizing the deity’s power, it’s a complete waste.”

“They’re too wasteful, and you, being such a kind and frugal person, will surely want to help them out, right?”

Seeing Golden Dragon Mother’s indignant expression, Muria went along with her words and spoke with a playful look in his eyes.

“Haha, Little Muria, you know me well. A deity without consciousness in the hands of those humans is simply too wasteful. Such a thing should be controlled by beings like us who exist at the same level as deities. That’s how to maximize its usefulness.”

“Hmm, how difficult is it for you to take over that deity? Do you need me and my father to come help you?”

“No need for that, I can handle it myself. They’re just a bunch of fake god-wielders who steal divine power; I’m not afraid of them. I can deal with them with ease,” Golden Dragon Mother said dismissively with a wave of her hand.

“Then I wish you success.”

“Of course, when have I ever failed to settle matters? Once this is over, I shall be the True God of this world, hahaha!”

“Just don’t overdo it,” seeing the smug look on Golden Dragon Mother’s face, Muria couldn’t help but caution her. For their Epics, the power of deities was like a seductive, potent poison.

“Don’t worry about that. I certainly won’t be using my true body to contact the deity. I’ll find a way to separate out consciousness and take over the body of this unconscious god.”

“Hmm.”

“Well, that’s all I wanted to discuss. Tell your father about my plans. I won’t be going to the Empire now; I’ll be busy with my own matters.”

“Alright.”

Muria agreed, ended the communication with Golden Dragon Mother, and then sat back in his seat, lost in thought as he noticed a very interesting change.

As the most talented and gifted member of the Douglas family, his chances of inheriting the position of family head were over 90%, which was almost certain. By then, he could control a quarter of the entire Federation’s power,

and his father, who was currently serving as a temporary general in the Empire, could have his position confirmed with just a nod, gaining immense influence within the Empire. Such power would grow with his strength. Although it was an imperial state, creating a power vacuum wasn’t out of the question.

Of course, given his father’s character, he wouldn’t engage in such sly maneuvering, so if it were really necessary, it might still require his and his mother’s assistance to make the moves.

As for the Three Major Human Forces, he and his father were in charge of two. The remaining was the Stars Congregation, an entity they wouldn’t normally be able to contend with, due to its strong religious nature. But now, the Congregation had brought about an extraordinary entity.

And now that Golden Dragon Mother had set her sights on it, as long as she didn’t act rashly, her chances of taking control of this Unowned God Body were quite significant. She could then directly usurp the highest power of this human force.

What could possibly stop a True God with consciousness from ruling a religious nation founded on faith? Nothing.

“The whole family joining forces to rule the world?” Muria thought of the most plausible future scenario and couldn’t help but smile.
