Chapter 510: Chapter 231 A Brief Respite

In the cramped space, two bodies were tightly intertwined, moving vigorously. Although the struggle was fierce, the sounds that were made were exceptionally few, limited to the creaking of the chair and heavy breathing with nothing else.

Kirsten’s cheeks were adorned with a seductive, barely-there smile, her eyes narrowed to slits, sweat had dampened the hair at her temples, but she bit her lip hard to keep herself from moaning.

The walls of the trailer were thin, and any louder motion inside might alert those outside, hence the situation at hand. But this was also thrilling; just think, just one wall away, countless people were bustling about...

"Ready?" Adrian whispered low into Kirsten’s ear, then, without waiting for a response, he maximized his thrusts.

The young girl immediately cried out, following which she was lifted to the clouds, her hands clutching the other’s body tightly.

Adrian too let go without any reservations, plunging in completely. He had come to the Spider Man set today merely to check on the progress and hadn’t planned on a passionate collision with Kirsten in such a place. Even though the little fairy’s lolita phase was almost over, she still managed to seduce him under these circumstances.

Kirsten was always bold, not to mention the implicit propositions during her initial screen test and subsequent intimate actions—of course, it was the result of Adrian’s leniency, fully understanding the little fairy’s thoughts, knowing when to guide and when to refuse—and after having a real relationship on her birthday, things got a bit uncontrollable.

The little fairy seemed to enjoy doing such things in dangerous and thrilling places, like inside cars, on balconies, and she had even wanted to try on a piano. If she hadn’t been so young, she might even have dragged Adrian behind some alley, so seducing him so brazenly on set, even deliberately not wearing underwear, was really too normal.

Adrian was never reluctant, if there were no precautions taken, then he might as well leave it inside. If Kirsten was seducing him, she must be in her safe period; she was no fool.

"Oh, my little fairy, you’re still so enticing," Adrian said with tender admiration, caressing her cheek post-coitus, "Not even wearing underwear, aren’t you afraid someone will see?"

"Of course not," Kirsten giggled into his ear, "all the heavy action scenes are already shot, and the part where Spider Man sweeps me off my feet will be filmed later, I’ve planned it all out."

"How meticulous you are, Qiqi," Adrian pinched her waist with feeling, "if I’m not mistaken, you probably have a backup of this outfit, right?"

The red cheongsam embroidered with peonies was now a crumpled mess. Although Western women generally don’t match cheongsams perfectly, one must admit that this dress does a pretty spectacular job of displaying the female curve—Kirsten especially, with her provocative walk emphasizing her raised behind, her lower curves were absolutely top-notch. And so, Adrian’s desires had increased, leaving the dress inevitably ravaged.

"Of course," Kirsten smiled sweetly, "after trying this dress, I made the excuse of wanting to keep it for myself to have another one made. I knew you would like it."

"Oh, I certainly do love how you dress, sexy and captivating," Adrian smiled as he lifted her chin. Although Kirsten’s face was seemingly enlarged by age, the vibrant young fairy remained very appetizing, "I also love this burgundy hair of yours, it’s beautiful."

"If you like it, I’ll keep my hair red from now on," Kirsten affectionately kissed his cheek.

"It doesn’t matter, dear, I love you no matter how you look," Adrian said half-jokingly, "as long as you don’t keep hanging out with no-hope losers like Mary."

"Of course not, how could Spider Man compare to you," Kirsten immediately responded coyly, her voice tinged with teasing and her body playfully swaying, leaving them both chuckling softly for a moment.

"In the blink of an eye, my cute little fairy has turned into a young lady," Adrian suddenly said, "I’m wondering if it’s time to drop the ’little’ from her title." No sooner had he spoken than Kirsten let out a low protest.

Adrian raised an eyebrow in slight surprise; the girl was still smiling, but it seemed a bit forced, and a shadow of worry was vaguely visible in her expression.

"I still like the nickname ’little fairy’," Kirsten said in a coquettish tone, realizing her slip.

"Alright, my little fairy," Adrian didn’t insist, knowing that her insecurity was exactly why she had fallen into his hands.

"Let’s get ready to go, they might be done shooting outside," he said then, even though Kirsten had asked her personal assistant Wayman Lawrence—whom, needless to say, Adrian had arranged for her—to stand guard outside, ensuring no one would come to disturb them. Still, dragging it out too long wouldn’t be good.

Kirsten obediently stood up to change her clothes and took the opportunity to clean Adrian up a little with her hands and some tissue, frequently licking her lips as if she wasn’t worried about the shoot later—Adrian would have asked for her mouth, it being something they were well-accustomed to.

"We didn’t have enough time today; let’s make plans to have some fun and talk about the Cannes Film Festival another day," Kirsten flirtatiously suggested as she changed.

That must be the little fairy’s real motive for today. Adrian’s brows imperceptibly lifted—how many years was it since she won Best Supporting Actress? But then he let it go, understanding that her "wanting to see" had no ulterior motive. She just wanted to increase her artistic exposure and lay groundwork for the future. He had said she should keep a low profile these last few years, but not that she had to do so abroad. Her mind worked swiftly.

"Sure, but I think I could tell you about the Venice Film Festival instead. You might be going there this year," Adrian laughed.

"Really?" Kirsten’s eyes lit up, and then she pressed her lips together thoughtfully.

"Of course, but I won’t be going," Adrian chuckled softly, not seeking to correct her assumption, "European film festivals aren’t really a big deal anyway. Just go and see for yourself."

Sofia Coppola was working on her debut movie "Suicide," which if everything went as planned, should premiere at the Venice Film Festival. Kirsten had starred in this movie in a previous life and had become friends with Sofia. Now that Adrian had invested in the movie, how could he forget to recommend the little fairy for it?

With that, things wrapped up here. Adrian was pleased with Sam Remy’s work, and Toby Maguire’s Spider-Man as well; Kirsten was over the moon. What remained was the waiting. However, Adrian also visited the sets of other ongoing or just-started shoots, such as Zetajones and Sean Connery’s "Entrapment," or the "Serendipity" prepared for Kate, and Rachel starring in "The Mummy."

For "The Mummy," there was no need to say more—Adrian had given Somers full support. Brandon Fraser might not excel in other roles, but he had a knack for comedic adventure movies and should not disappoint.

The same went for "Serendipity." Ladies Nora Ephron and her sister Delia Efron had finally joined the scripting process, and at least one-third of the plot had become unrecognizable, yet simultaneously more compact compared to his memories—the male lead was still John Cusack. Known for his art-house cinema presence, rumors said Cusack had a natural aversion to commercial films. No one knew the exact truth, but his acting was unquestionable, and he had enjoyed a pleasant collaboration with Adrian’s studio on "Con Air," which should hopefully lead to no disappointments.

As for "Entrapment," it was the second box-office hit Adrian had lined up for Zetajones, with the classic scene sneaking through laser beams becoming a long-discussed highlight. Sean Connery had also agreed early on. Interestingly, just like when "The Mask of Zorro" was in production, Connery hadn’t missed an opportunity to sing Zetajones’s praises to Adrian on set.

Once busy with these matters, Adrian had relatively more free time, which allowed him to breathe a sigh of relief. If he didn’t find time for some fun soon, someone was really going to turn things upside down.

"Alright, you three little rascals, no more eating, especially you, Lily, if you don’t listen, you can forget about playing with your two sisters," Adrian called out to the three little ones sitting in the garden, having put away the newspaper under the umbrella. "The same goes for you two, if you don’t want to get diarrhea, then be good and put down the bowls."

"That’s stingy, it’s just a few bowls of ice cream!" Emma grumbled, waving her fist before deliberately nudging the girl beside her, and then pouting at the girl sitting in front of her, about her own age. "Right?"

"That’s right, I agree!" While the girl opposite her hesitated, the girl beside Emma already started giggling and shouted, "You’re too stingy, Ed!"

"Liv!" Sarah, sitting beside Lily, called out with a laugh and then carefully wiped Lily’s mouth.

"See, Liv, you’re about to alienate everyone," Adrian walked over and sat down on the blanket spread out on the ground, teasing Liv with his eyes.

"How could that be, at least Emma is still standing with me... Hey, you can’t do that!" Liv reached out to hug Emma, but instead embraced thin air, as the little girl had already gotten up to start cleaning up the various cups scattered around, and the other girl chuckled and helped.

"Damn it! You two Emmas! How could you!" Liv burst out, sometimes careless about everything, sometimes just like a child.

"There, there, Liv, they’re just like that, you’re not just finding out now," Adrian immediately burst into laughter.

Since Little Emma had come to the United States, it was inevitable that Small Emma would come over to play. The two of them hadn’t stopped communicating by mail or phone. Kate was busy preparing to start shooting "Serendipity" soon, so Lily ended up with her dad, and Sarah, who was currently resting, was conveniently pulled in to take care of the little ones. Due to that evening’s incident, Sarah had become Lily’s third favorite woman after Charlize.

Just then, Liv had finished her location shoot in Hawaii and returned to Los Angeles, stopping by Adrian’s mansion, leading to the scene now unfolding. Although Liv had met Lily several times before, she hit it off even better with the two Emmas. However, the two little devils were good at playing tricks, and Adrian had almost been fooled several times, let alone Liv.

The three little devils’ ice cream eating contest was over before it started, and they began running and playing in the garden. Liv, having reseated herself under the umbrella, excitedly started discussing the Hawaiian scenery with Adrian and Sarah.

"It’s indeed a tourist haven; I absolutely love diving into the sea—it’s so beautiful," she said, her expression animated, clearly very fond of the place.

"I knew it, you’d like ’50 First Dates,’" Adrian said with a gesture and a smile.

Even though he had decided to let Liv be an exquisite vase, this didn’t mean he wouldn’t plan for her future. Too broad a vase might not last long, so he thought maybe she could be a niche vase. The concept was difficult to explain in the moment, but ’50 First Dates’ was one of the stepping stones he had prepared for her.

The plot of the movie was somewhat cliché, but it had a very excellent ending and didn’t require too much in the way of acting skills, so Adrian handed it to Liv. As for the original protagonist Drew, sorry, but his first priority was to please the women around him. Of course, if he thought it necessary, he would use ’Love Across Time’ as compensation. This movie was initially one of the choices for Naomi, but since Naomi had chosen to go down the thriller route from the start, it could be pulled out as a favor. Hugh Jackman wasn’t currently shooting ’Swordfish’ for nothing.

"Why don’t we go on a vacation to Hawaii together sometime, Ed?" Liv suddenly suggested, her eyes curved and carrying an indescribable slyness. "It would definitely be great fun."

The "we" clearly included Sarah, who had been quietly listening by the side. Despite the fact that their threesome outings had been a frequent occurrence, she couldn’t help but blush a bit now. Keep in mind that three little rascals were roughhousing nearby, and Liv’s comment also subtly hinted at the initial threesome that took place in the swimming pool.

"It’s such a shame," Adrian said sympathetically, changing the subject. "If we had started filming ’50 First Dates’ earlier, maybe it could’ve been released this summer. Then we could’ve seen which movie, yours or Sarah’s ’Legally Blonde,’ would have claimed a higher box office."

This successfully shifted the conversation, and the trio began discussing the upcoming summer releases. This summer, there were quite a few movies related to Adrian due to premiere. There’s no need to mention ’The Matrix,’ as its hunger marketing had already whipped the audience into a frenzy. Then there was ’Jurassic Park 2,’ ready to compete head-on with him, followed by Sarah’s ’Legally Blonde,’ Julia’s fourth in a quintet of romance films ’The Runaway Bride,’ Wu Bage’s second directorial piece ’Face/Off,’ and so on. It would inevitably be an intense battle for the box office.

Consequently, the release of ’Mulholland Drive’ was postponed. Being a niche film, it wasn’t concerned about the box office, but recouping some of the costs was always desirable. Maybe building the anticipation in this way would yield a larger box office return than the original.

After spending the afternoon in the garden, Adrian rounded everyone up to go inside around five PM. He called over Mrs. Galen to give her a few instructions, preparing to take Lily and Sarah out with him.

"Why can’t we come with you?" Emma frowned, clearly unhappy with the arrangements.

"We have things to take care of. Be good, Emma. If I don’t make it back tonight, can Liv and... Yukie keep you company?" Adrian proposed, glancing at Liv, who wouldn’t stop chatting with Yukie after learning she’d played a role in ’Legally Blonde’ and looking suggestively at Adrian each time her gaze passed over him.

"Can we come with you to have a look?" Small Emma pleaded, of course, mainly because Little Emma tugged at her.

"Sorry, Emma, really, you can’t. Don’t make it hard for me, okay?" Adrian replied in a gentle tone.

"Then why can Sarah go?" Small Emma still wished to negotiate.

"Didn’t you see how Lily was acting?" Adrian pointed at the little one clinging to Sarah, giggling merrily.

With no other option, Small Emma gave up, but she likely made a mental note of this to claim her dues later.

After they had made their arrangements and Adrian had exchanged a few more words with Liv and Yukie, he left the house with Sarah and his daughter. But as they reached the door, they were stopped in their tracks by a dapper-looking Charlize coming toward them.

Exchanging a knowing glance and receiving a confirmatory nod from Charlize, Adrian gestured, "I’m taking Lily back, let’s go together and talk while we walk."

Though that’s what he said, the two didn’t talk much on the way. Adrian driving was one factor, and Charlize seemingly having things she couldn’t say in front of Sarah was another.

They soon arrived at Kate’s villa, a mere ten-minute drive away—Adrian’s mansion wasn’t too far from there. The timing was perfect; they arrived just half an hour after Kate got home. The reunion was naturally effusive—well, between Kate and Lily, because her skin wasn’t thick enough to passionately kiss Adrian as if no one else was present, with Charlize and Sarah around.

With ’Serendipity’ about to start official filming soon, the first few days would likely be hectic, making it even less probable for Kate to spend time with her daughter. Therefore, she wanted to make the most of her time with Lily before then. (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, feel free to cast your recommendation vote and monthly vote at qidian.com.
