Chapter 64: The Instinct To Have Him

"This place would be great, I haven’t been to it yet so I’m taking you!" said a blond man who looked very excited to take his bodyguard to a place.

It had been a few days since Daren had gotten an offer to film, although there was a movie casting that he wanted to participate in, but the selection would only be held in a week. Therefore, he took Axel out to pass the time.

"Are you sure it’s not too crowded? I don’t want that stupid thing that happened in Mocoado to happen again," Axel asked, making sure that their destination wouldn’t be too crowded.

Daren said it was a local spot, but it was a weekday, so it wouldn’t be too crowded. He could make sure everything would be fine.

"I’m bored at home, so it’s better if we go. Do you have any friends who recommend good places to visit?" Daren asked.

"Not really, I never go anywhere," Axel replied.

Actually, he knew some places even abroad because it was part of his job. But he couldn’t possibly tell Daren that.

"Hey, I wanted to ask you. Have you ever gone on a date before?"

"Me? Didn’t I tell you that I’m not interested in any Omega?"

"I know, but it could have been with Beta or just going on a blind date with your friends before. You have friends, right?" asked Daren again, looking curious.

The Alpha was silent for a moment, remembering about the blind date he had participated in two years ago. He told him that she had been set up by his friend to go on a blind date.

Because he didn’t want to embarrass his best friend by suddenly leaving, Axel was forced to follow him and he was approached by an Omega.

"He wasn’t so bad and had something to talk to me about. We talk like old friends," he explained.

"Then why didn’t you date him? Doesn’t that mean your blind date was a success?"

"I didn’t like him, as an Alpha, I know what makes my Alpha instincts tick or not. And I don’t feel anything around him. I didn’t feel my instincts activate to want him to be my Omega," Axel replied.

Daren who was listening to him nodded in understanding, he just knew that the Alpha had such instincts. But Axel also explained, there were many Alphas who also did not care about this instinct and dated many Omegas, even mating with them.

"It all comes back to the Alphas theirself, whether they wants a mate just for then or just wants to play around. And I’m not an Alpha who likes to waste my time on Omegas who aren’t my eyes," explained Axel who was still focused on the road.

"I see... That’s great," Daren commented hoping that Axel felt that way about him.

’That’s ridiculous, it’s obviously impossible,’ he thought and sighed in resignation.

It was clear from Axel’s gestures that the man cared and even liked him, but Daren didn’t realize it. Unlike Axel who didn’t really realize Daren’s feelings at first, it was all because of the Omega’s cheerful nature.

He couldn’t tell the difference between his cheerful and active nature, even though Daren seemed more attached to him. He thought that it was the Omega’s natural sift.

He glanced at Daren, looking at the Omega who was calling on his Alpha instincts to possess him. Over and over again, it even drove him crazy.

After 35 minutes of traveling, they finally arrived at their destination. Axel parked the car and they walked into the venue after buying tickets.

"See? It’s not too crowded here, we can still have fun wandering around. I heard there’s a place to try on traditional clothes from other countries like Korea, Japan and China. They have really nice clothes," Daren said as he looked around.

The scenery around them made them feel as if they were abroad, the atmosphere and certain places were made with a beautiful country theme.

"I wanted to go there in person, but it was clear I wouldn’t be allowed. Even when I went to Mocoado, I was able to go because Ivan was there," he said while sitting at a Japanese-themed bus stop.

"Just because he’s worried that you’ll make trouble to ruin your family’s good name again? Heh that’s really annoying."

"Ahahaha... I know, right? I was thinking of moving out of my family mansion and living on my own. But I can’t leave my mom. She’s also bonded with dad, it’s not easy to separate the two of them like Beta," Daren explained.

Axel knew that, when Omega was bonded to Alpha, the two of them couldn’t be away from each other for long. It could drive them crazy and one of them could even die.

Because of that, victims of r*pe would find it difficult to separate because every time the Alpha got their rut, they would instinctively bond.

"Then leave, I’m sure your mother will understand that. I’ll still come with you if you choose to leave the mansion," Axel told Daren.

He turned his head, looking at his bodyguard. Daren hadn’t expected Axel to say that, he thought if he left the family mansion, Axel would too.

The Omega smiled and stood up from his seat. "Ah forget it for now! Then let’s go try on the costumes! I can’t wait to try on the costumes in this place, let’s go!"

He pulled Axel’s hand to come with him even though he refused.

They tried on beautiful traditional Chinese clothes. Daren was dressed as a prince, while Axel was dressed as a commander.

"Oh it suits you perfectly!" he said happily.

"Heh, really? These clothes are too tight for me. I don’t think my muscles are suited to closed clothes like this," Axel commented.

"But I think it’s fine. You’re the commander who protects a prince like me. Come on my commander, we’re taking pictures around here!"

Daren walked to the view near the waterfall and took a selfie with Axel.

"Can you duck down a little? You’re too tall!"

"You’re the one who’s too short." The dark-haired man took Daren’s cell phone from his hand and held it up to get them both in the frame.

"You move closer," he said again with one arm around Daren’s waist and pulled him closer to him.

His blue eyes widened in shock as Axel pulled him like that. His heart was beating fast as he looked at his cell phone camera.

He smiled while Axel grinned, making them look very handsome and they took more photos.

"I like them all, they’re really pretty!" Daren hummed softly as he looked at his phone.

"Daren!" called Axel.

"Hmn?"

When he turned his head, Axel immediately snapped a picture of the blond man’s face. His innocent expression, followed by the smile on his face made it the most interesting photo he could have.

"Hey, don’t just take a picture of me! It’ll turn out badly!"

"It’s so bad, I deleted it right away without you even asking," he replied.

Though in reality, he kept the photo in his gallery to remember today’s moment.

"Do you want that picture too?" Daren asked.

"Of course, I’ll crop it so that I only have my own picture."

Daren frowned in annoyance while Axel chuckled at the Omega’s expression.

"What a jerk."
