Chapter 197: Do You Actually Love Me?

The relationship between Mike and Louis had been going on for almost a year. Everyone thought that their relationship was fine and there was no fuss whatsoever. Mike is a quiet guy and Louis is a shy guy. They seemed like a very compatible couple.

But things were no longer the same as before.

Slowly Louis felt that his lover was keeping his distance from him. Mike began to change when he regained the alpha side he had hoped for. Like why his initial goal of finding an Omega, which is to restore his alpha side.

By this time, Louis already knew about Mike’s identity as Daren’s manager. Moreover, the friend that Mike always said was Daren. It was because Louis came to the wedding of his boyfriend’s father considering he could be part of the family.

That’s why Edgar wanted his son to invite Louis so he could meet Louis in person. And they really liked the Omega because Louis was so polite and also very sweet.

"My mom is doing well, I think she’s pregnant too and she’s having a baby girl. Yesterday she just had an ultrasound and that was the result," the Alpha replied.

Louis was happy to hear that, although he was jealous because he also wanted to have a baby. But he had never said that to Mike, plus they had never mated until now.

’Does he like Daren? But they are just friends right? Daren also has a boyfriend and now he’s pregnant,’ he thought as he watched Mike talking to him.

He was too scared and too embarrassed to ask this question, Louis was too scared to find out the answer was that the man no longer loved him.

Louis already loved Mike, he didn’t want to lose him even if the man didn’t love him. But he also didn’t want to restrain Mike if he didn’t have feelings for him.

The dominant omega turned his head towards the glass of his shop, looking at the reflection of himself who at first glance was very similar to Daren. From how their hair was both blonde, although their height was obviously very different.

’He doesn’t see me as Daren does he? He didn’t become my lover because I look like Daren. Mike then looked at Louis who suddenly fell silent with his head bowed, as if he was thinking about something.

"Louis, why are you crying all of a sudden? Did I say something wrong?" he asked again as he took both of Louis’ hands but he didn’t say anything.

His body started trembling and tears were falling, making Mike somehow feel guilty and immediately pulled the man into his arms. He gently rubbed Louis’ head as he said everything will be fine.

"Don’t cry, does anything hurt? Did something happen? Please tell me and don’t just stay silent. I can’t watch you cry like this," Mike begged Louis to talk to him.

He finally opened his mouth and asked, "Mike, do you love me?"

The question made Mike very surprised, he did not expect that suddenly Louis would ask something like that.

He was silent for a moment until he finally answered that he did love Louis, and if he didn’t love him there was no way Mike could be in front of him right now.

"What do you mean by that? Of course I love you Louis, I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t love you," he replied.

"You don’t love me because you see me looking like Daren do you?" he asked again.

And it was this question that made Mike feel even more guilty because Louis thought that he loved Louis because he looked like Daren. What Louis said was not wrong, because at first he did see Louis as Daren. And he said it honestly to him.

Louis’ body trembled from crying when he heard that. He felt like his heart was broken because all this time he had loved someone who saw himself as someone else.

However, Mike cupped his cheeks with both hands and looked at Louis’ face as the tears continued to flow.

"At first I did see you as Daren. I felt amazed and happy that I could have him in front of me. But I realized you were two different people, and sometimes it was hard for me to realize this before."

"So you don’t love me as me? I love you so much Mike, I really do," Louis said in a slightly shaky voice.

The Alpha was silent when he heard that, he felt even more guilty when he heard that. But he didn’t want to disappoint Louis, and he tried to make things right.

"I know, and right now I’m trying to love you as you are. And I do, I love you as you are right now. As my Louis, my Omega," Mike replied as he gently stroked his cheek.

"Really?"

He nodded his head then kissed Louis’ forehead and hugged him. Mike knew lying was a bad thing, but right now he was really trying to love Louis as himself because he realized Daren could never be with him.
