The job Victor had on this mission was getting more and more complicated for him. Actually, what made it complicated was that he couldn’t get permission to leave Dormania to return to Zondalian for at least a week.

He desperately wanted to see Daren who needed him. He knew Daren was still in the early stages of his pregnancy, but afterward he would need his alpha to be around him especially since Omegas sometimes nested when they were pregnant.

And only the alphas were usually allowed to get close to the Omega’s nest. That’s why Victor wanted to be there for him and tried to complete the mission as quickly as possible, but his client refused to have the mission completed before the time he had set.

"I’ll go crazy if it continues like this. I know it’s beyond my prediction, and the pregnancy is so sudden. But I can’t blame him because all of this is also my fault for not wearing protection when making love to him. But at least let me see Daren for one week!" he said with so much annoyance that the coffee can in his hand exploded because he squeezed it so hard that it shattered.

The minions or subordinates who witnessed it were very surprised when the sound of the explosion was heard from Victor’s hand. They did not expect that the man was so strong that he could make a can make a sound like an explosion.

"If I quit this mission, and find it difficult to get the next one, should I just quit? But if I quit the organization, where should I go to find a new job. A job that will allow me to stay close to him," he muttered as he tried to think hard about this.

He was indeed capable of doing any job, especially since he had often disguised himself in various professions during his career as a hire agent. However, this was hampered by him not having a high school graduation certificate when he was in high school.

"It’s impossible for me to go back to school just to get a graduation certificate. If I had to pay for it, it could happen. But what kind of job is suitable for someone like me?" he asked at that time with a confused feeling.

His current goal was to meet Daren, anything after that Victor tried not to think about and focus on his initial goal.

Meanwhile, Daren received a visit from Wilfred after he heard about Daren’s current condition. Of course Wilfred was quite surprised because he didn’t expect Victor to be that determined to get his omega pregnant.

He kept thinking, is it really Victor’s child? Was Victor aware when he did it and so on. But he knew that Daren would never lie and he was sure that Victor was the only person who had ever done that to him.

"So he hasn’t said when he’s coming to see you?" asked Wilfred as he chatted alone with Daren.

"He hasn’t said anything yet, just said that everything is being organized at the moment. But it’s been almost a month since he last said he was coming until now he hasn’t talked about it again," Daren replied with a sigh.

From the look on his face and even the way he chatted with Wilfred, the man could tell that Daren was doubtful that his boyfriend would come. Especially after the pressure from Mike and Aiden who said that Victor wasn’t someone who would come back let alone take responsibility for this, he was like he was in the middle of a seesaw where he doubted. Is Victor really coming?

On the one hand he almost didn’t believe it and fell into it. But on the other hand his little heart said that Victor would definitely come but he needed time for that.

That’s what put him in the middle of a balance line that if he got too far to one side he could be equally hurt.

"I know what you’re thinking right now. You’re wondering if Victor will take responsibility for what happened, right? You’re worried that he really won’t come back and that what he told you was a lie," Wilfred said.

"Am I wrong if I feel doubtful coupled with him not coming after the last time he said he would?"

He shook his head. "You are not wrong about this, nor is it Victor’s fault that he is in the middle of a dangerous mission. He must have thought of all kinds of ways to come here, even if it could endanger himself."

"I’m sure you would have thought of coming to see him yourself, but that would have been risky for both of you. I’m not asking you to trust him because he is my friend, but I’m afraid that Victor is someone who is responsible for what has happened around him," Wilfred explained.

He knew Victor well because he had been friends with him since Victor had been betrayed by Aiden. And it has been going on for almost 7 years. Meanwhile, Aiden and Victor have only been friends for less than 4 years. Therefore Wilfred knew what his good friend was like.

"I know sometimes he seems very annoying. But you know that he cares a lot, especially about you. You’re someone who has changed Victor who I knew was very cold and didn’t know how to like an Omega. But you managed to make him like you. And I’m sure he won’t waste his own omega," he explained again.

Wilfred’s words were enough to make Daren feel calmer, because what he said was true. And he should have told this to Wilfred from the beginning, who knew what his alphas were like.

"Hearing your words made me feel better. Lately I’ve been feeling a little frustrated because everyone keeps pressing, saying that Victor doesn’t mean what he says," Daren said while holding his breath because he was annoyed.

"Hey you can tell me. If you have any questions about Victor, you can ask me. Maybe I wasn’t too scared about his life the first time he entered the organization. But afterward and even to this day there are many things he told me including you."

Now he felt that his anxiety was fading away and he believed again that Victor would really come to see him.

And sure enough, right in the man’s room he immediately packed up all his belongings and he didn’t care about his mission anymore. If in the end he got a warning letter from his organization, he would accept it but if he was going to be expelled immediately, he didn’t care anymore.

He had already planned to quit the job, but his feelings were still hesitant about the decision for the reason that he was originally just fed up with his job.

But now he has made up his mind after he found out that his omega is pregnant with his child. And that was his main reason for quitting the job. At least he still had plenty of money in his savings to stay with Daren until their child was born.

"Screw this mission, I don’t care anymore and I’d rather leave than keep this thing going!"

Finished with packing all his things, he went out of the room and walked towards the outside of the mansion where the mafia was located.

But again his steps were stopped by James who felt increasingly suspicious because Victor suddenly chose to leave without saying anything.

"Where are you going? Have you stolen something you need and now you choose to leave this place?" he asked in a stern voice while approaching him and pulling his shoulder hard.

However, Victor who was already annoyed immediately brushed off James’ hand that made a scene between the two of them.

"I didn’t take anything and I don’t want to be here. I don’t care what you say anymore and you better get out of my way," Victor said irritably and then tried to leave the man.

However, his way out was not as easy as when he entered the mafia group. An annoyed James immediately pulled Victor against him.

"You came here so easily trying to gain the boss’s trust. And you think when you want to leave I’ll just let it go? I want to at least crush those bones of yours."
