In the end, Victor left for his new mission. Daren could only wait until Victor returned even though he didn’t know when the man would return.

Unlike the previous mission, where they could still meet but in this mission it would definitely be very difficult because Dormania was quite far from Zondalian. Because of this, they could really only communicate via cell phone if Victor was not supervised because this mission was very dangerous.

While Victor was away, Daren could only watch Mike who was now getting a little busy to protect his own omega. When he wasn’t filming, the Alpha would go to see Louis and keep him company at the flower shop sometimes even into the afternoon.

"And here I am alone not knowing what to do. Mike has been very busy taking care of his omega. Victor went on a mission," Daren complained as he had no idea what to do today.

In his house there were only two servants, his mother and Edgar. There was no one he could play with or talk to. It looked like his mother was really enjoying her time with his best friend’s father. Daren thought that if they really liked each other, he would be fine as long as his mother was happy and protected by Edgar.

"Would it be better for me to go out alone? But I don’t know where to go. Victor hasn’t reply my messages since last night either."

He felt a bit frustrated because he didn’t know what to do, until finally Daren decided to take his hat and jacket and go out alone. He wore glasses and a mask so that no one would recognize him.

"Daren where are you going? Are you going out alone?" asked Viona when she saw her son about to leave the house alone.

"Yes, I’m going out for a while to get some fresh air. Do you want me to buy you something?" asked Daren.

She shook her head. "No need, I just want you to be careful outside. Are you sure you don’t want any company? Edgar might want to accompany you," she replied.

But Daren refused, thinking that his mother needed Edgar more than he did. Moreover, his mother was currently undergoing therapy to be able to walk again.

"I’ll be fine, it won’t take long. I’ll go then," the Omega said and walked away from the house on foot.

He stuffed both hands into his jacket, then walked around the neighborhood. He remembered that there were some sweet shops around there that he was interested in going to.

Although the shop was close to his house, Daren always didn’t have time to go there because he was busy working. That’s why this time he decided to spend some time at the sweet shop.

At least in the shopping area, there were several shops there such as mochi shops, gelato shops, and also chocolate and candy shops. All of them caught his eye, until Daren decided to enter the gelato shop first.

"Welcome to our shop," greeted the waitress when she saw Daren enter.

The man looked around and found that the shop wasn’t very crowded, which made him feel relieved because he was worried that someone might recognize him. He then approached the front to order the gelato he wanted.

After he ordered several flavors and quite a lot of toppings, he forgot that he didn’t bring cash so he had to use his atm card.

The waiter was surprised to see the name written on the ATM. But Daren immediately gave the code for the waiteress not to say his name so as not to attract the attention of many people.

"Well, thank you for paying and we’ll deliver your gelato."

Daren nodded and went to an empty seat and waited for the gelato to arrive. Before that, the waitress asked for his autograph, he chuckled and put it on her hat.

"Your name?"

"Andine! I didn’t expect to meet you," she said happily.

"To Andine from Daren Harry..." Daren muttered as he signed the hat. "Here’s your hat, have a nice day."

At the same time, his cell phone rang because there was an incoming message from someone he had been waiting for.

Hey, I’m sorry I’m just replying to your message because since last night I’ve been busy taking care of some things.

Somehow I feel like this place is where I belong. This job is quite fun.

"I guess the mafia is where it should be. I bet the part of eliminating someone is his favorite part of this mission," Daren muttered as he read the message.

No problem, as long as you’re careful and complete your mission quickly.

It feels so lonely right now, even I went to the gelato shop by myself without anyone accompanying me this time.

Where’s Mike?

He’s out on a date with Louis. I told you he would be very busy with that Omega right now.

Daren didn’t understand why he felt quite upset when typing the answer to his lover. He felt like Mike was leaving him alone when he was always around. Now he was busy with his Omega.

He should have supported Mike’s decision to have an Omega for his own good. He was also the one who suggested this, but why did he feel annoyed every time Mike was busy with his cell phone and spent more time with Louis.

He let out a long sigh, questioning himself for continuing to make an issue of this. He wanted Mike to be happy with his omega, as he himself was already happy with Victor. After all, Mike was like a little brother to him.

"But somehow I feel unprepared for all this. I was really stupid to get even jealous because of that. I should have supported him instead of feeling upset about the two of them," he said.

He then enjoyed his gelato that had arrived while thinking about what he would do after this. He had been exchanging messages with Victor but he hadn’t replied in almost 10 minutes.

"I guess he’s getting busy. Especially being in such a dangerous place."

"But don’t you realize that you yourself are in a dangerous place right now? There is no safe place in this world," said a man sitting behind Daren.

His forehead wrinkled, feeling he recognized the man’s voice and the Omega reflexively looked back.

And sure enough, it was the man who had always been a threat to Mike and himself. For some reason he was always there wherever he was. But the bad thing was that his boyfriend was not with him to protect him from the alpha.
