Chapter 157: Decisions to be Considered

In the end, Liam’s parents were forced to stop the man from tutoring Liam, because their son was considered to have gone too far.

Because of this, Victor’s mission is automatically considered a failure, considering he can no longer approach the target. Luckily, his boss did not blame Victor for this, instead telling his client that the target was not who his client said he was.

"I didn’t even know Liam had such a horrible nature. He always seemed like a normal Omega who was nice to everyone," explained the client, who was even more surprised to hear that Liam was that desperate.

All the information Victor had gotten about Liam was given directly to the client and it was no longer any of their business.

Eventually Victor was able to move back in with Daren and get away from the strange Omega.

But since Daren still had filming that day, Victor waited for him. Daren and Mike finally went to the house where Victor was currently staying for one night and they would return tomorrow.

"There’s only one room here and if you want to sleep I guess you can sleep on the couch in the living room," Victor told Mike.

"I’m fine with that, as long as Daren can still sleep comfortably. He’s exhausted from working all day," Mike replied.

He then sat on the sofa while Daren and Victor went to their room. The lovers then sat on the bed and started talking about Victor’s failed mission this time.

"It’s actually not my first failed mission, but it’s the umpteenth failed mission. The first time was because the target was completely outside of the information the client provided. Whereas usually it is mostly the Alpha who makes this mission fail, but now it is an Omega who did it," he explained.

"I didn’t even realize there was an Omega like that. I mean, I thought all this stuff only happened in movies but in the real world there are also many who are too obsessive about someone," Daren said.

"Did you forget that even your fans do this? Many fans are also obsessive about their idols. It’s just that maybe they still have the sanity not to do something like this."

Daren nodded in agreement with what his boyfriend said about people like that. Sometimes he didn’t know how to behave.

He had even almost received a doll containing a camera from one of his fans. Luckily, Victor realized that and immediately broke the doll after the meet and greet with the fans was over.

"But for now I’m relieved that I no longer have to meet him. And there is time for a few days before I get a new mission," said Victor lying on his bed.

The blond man watched his lover lying down, feeling like he had something to say.

"Something bothering you? Just tell me maybe I can help you," said Daren who was also lying next to him.

"I don’t know, I’m still confused about what I’m thinking right now. I’m thinking of quitting being an agent and maybe finding another job. A job that doesn’t force me to disguise myself as someone else," she replied.

Daren was somewhat surprised when he heard that, as he had not expected the alpha to say he wanted to quit his current job.

Victor instead explained that he was feeling a bit tired of all this. Even though he was used to disguising himself and being someone else, it was getting nauseating the longer he had to get close to someone like Liam again.

"It’s not that I feel traumatized by someone like him, but I just feel disgusted to be around someone like that and I have to be the tutor he wants me to be."

"Not to mention that the roles I have to take on are completely opposite to what I’m used to. It feels like it makes me more tired than usual."

"I can understand what you mean. I myself sometimes feel tired if I have to play a role that is so far from my true nature. That’s just me doing it for a few days, you have to do it for months or even longer," Daren said.

While they were talking about Victor’s decision about his job. Mike said he wanted to go out for a walk, so he told them not to look for him.

"Then be careful!" said the Omega, which made Victor a little jealous as soon as he heard it.

He knew Mike had been a good friend of Daren’s and had always tried to take good care of him. But still he felt unhappy and jealous whenever they were near each other.

After all, an alpha is not happy to see his omega around another alpha even if they are old friends.

"You and Mike never did anything weird behind my back did you?" he asked suddenly.

"What kind of weird thing? Why are you suddenly asking such a thing?"

He shrugged his shoulders saying he just wanted to know what he and Mike used to do when they were alone. Daren replied that they just talked about things and maybe kissed and cuddled to calm each other down.

Hearing that, Victor immediately got angry and his intimidation pheromones came out which made Daren immediately scared, because of the unstoppable anger from his alpha.

"Hey hey, I’m just kidding! There’s no way Mike and I would kiss or even hug each other. You’re so easy to believe!" said Daren trying to calm the man down.

"Don’t you know, I hold myself back every time I leave you alone with him? I know he’s your friend but as your alpha I’m not happy about you being close to another alpha. I let you get close to him because he’s the only alpha I can keep an eye on and not another Alpha who has to be your manager." Victor stared at him with a piercing gaze that was enough to make Daren shudder in horror.

He tried to calm Victor down and said he couldn’t possibly be having an affair with Mike, because Mike was just like a little brother to him. And he was sure Mike had no more feelings for him than a friend.

He massaged the bridge of his nose at the sight of his lover being insensitive to the feelings of his own friend who actually liked him. Of course Victor realizes that, but he has no other choice than to find another Alpha who he has no idea what he looks like to be with Daren all the time.

Annoyed, he went to the bathroom to calm his mind with some cold water. Meanwhile Daren spotted Victor’s t-shirt lying on the chair.

After taking a shower, Victor intended to wear his t-shirt again because he had put his other clothes in his bag. However, as soon as he came out of the bathroom, it turned out that the shirt was already worn by Daren.

"What are you wearing my clothes for?"

"What’s wrong with me wearing it? It’s just this one time. Your pheromones are still on your clothes," Daren replied and lay down on the bed wearing only Victor’s slightly larger t-shirt.

"If you’re wearing mine, then what am I wearing for now?" Victor asked as he folded his arms across his chest as he wore only a pair of pants.

Daren laughed and said Victor could wear his clothes. He rolled his eyeballs in annoyance and huffed harshly.

"You are f*cking kidding me, right?"

At the same time someone knocked on Victor’s front door. Thinking it was Mike finally coming home, he went to open the door because he had previously locked it from the inside.

But as soon as he opened the door, it was not Mike who was at the door. Instead, a small brown-haired man stood in front of him.
