Chapter 144: Where Did You Go?

Chapter 144: Where Did You Go?

As daylight approached, Victor was forced to leave as he had to return to the South. Given that later in the evening he would have to perform his duties again to teach the man again.

Daren, who knew his alpha would be leaving soon, felt sad that they would be separated again. He felt that he was still not satisfied sped time with his boyfriend and wants more. But he had no other choice, as this was part of his job.

"I also have to meet with Wilfred to find out the information my boss gave me. I’ll call you as usual, so be ready with your cell phone whenever I call you, do you understand?" Victor asked while ruffling his hair.

"Alright I understand," he replied as he nodded his head.

He hugged him tightly one last time, wishing Victor could finish his mission sooner. The man didn’t want to leave so soon either, but there was work to be done.

Victor pulled Daren’s chin up and kissed him one last time. He would miss that moment even though he knew he would be back soon.

"Then I’m leaving now. Take care of yourself and don’t get caught between the alphas and betas who want you," he said then put on his full-face helmet, and got on his motorcycle.

The man then turned his motorcycle around and left Daren’s house, leaving the Omega who continued to stare at his departure with a sad face.

He then rode his motorcycle to a café where he had agreed to meet Wilfred. There he saw his friend sitting enjoying his morning coffee.

"You seem to really enjoy your coffee," he said and sat down next to the man.

"I was just enjoying my morning after hearing my Omega’s ramblings. She’s already very sensitive about a lot of things early in the morning," Wilfred replied and put away his cell phone. "So what about you, any progress with Daren today?"

Victor sighed always saying that he accidentally did knots on his omega last night. Of course that took Wilfred by surprise, even though he knew it was bound to happen sooner or later. But he didn’t expect it to happen that quickly.

"Did you give him the markings? Or did this happen by accident?"

"I haven’t done it yet. I’m still thinking about the risks if he ends up with an Alpha like me. Unlike you who may work at headquarters, I work directly in the field. In fact, many are still after my life to work with them," explained Victor who massaged the bridge of his nose as he was confused about his safety and Daren’s.

Wilfred could understand the problem his friend was having. But Victor should have given Daren the marking because he saw that there were many alphas and betas who seemed to want him. And it was definitely all over the media which made Victor feel even more sick in the head thinking about it all.

"You should have marked him or you would have lost him because another Alpha would have done it first," he taunted.

He almost got strangled by Victor for teasing like that. He certainly didn’t want to lose his omega, but leaving the marking wasn’t that easy.

"But you already did knots on him. Isn’t that even more dangerous than marking? Your omega could be pregnant with your child. And it will affect his career and his life because everyone will wonder who the alpha is that did it."

"Does this have a high percentage of recessive omegas?"

"I think so. I know dominant omegas are much better than recessives and it’s 100% certain that they will get pregnant at knott. But still I think even a recessive omega could get pregnant quickly because you knotted him. You’re an Alpha!"

Knowing that, Victor was now a little worried. What if Daren was indeed pregnant with his child?

"But for now, just focus on your mission. We don’t know until next month. It usually takes a month to tell if someone is pregnant or not. This mission is over in two months, right? That means you’re just in time to come back."

"You shouldn’t have said that in the first place, I keep thinking that he’s really going to..."

"But you’re not going to ask him to abort the child if he’s really pregnant, are you?" his best friend asked.

He had never thought of this, but he was also sure that if it happened, he would not ask Daren to abort the child.

"I’m not so crazy as to kill my own child even though I don’t know if I can accept the situation or not. Never mind, just tell me what the boss said and I should get going," Victor replied.

Wilfred nodded and started to tell Victor the information he might need.

Later that night, Liam lay on his bed as he continued to wait for Victor’s arrival. He looked anxious because the man wasn’t answering his messages at all. Even his phone wasn’t connected.

"Where is he? I miss him so much. Why hasn’t he answered my messages? Hurry up and come, why is it taking so long?" she said irritably with a rough sigh.

He kept wondering if Victor had gone to see someone named Daren because the man had called Victor’s cell phone in the middle of the night and when he woke up, Victor had rushed away as if he was too late.

"Is Daren his lover? No no, there’s no way Mr. Calvin has a lover. He even seems very fond of me. I bet it’s just a coworker or another student of his?"

Now he was actually annoyed at the thought of having a rival in the form of another student calling Victor in the middle of the night.

"Why would a student call in the middle of the night? He should be asleep. Or maybe he’s..."

Knock knock

The sound of knocking on the door was heard, startling Liam who was lying down annoyed. He immediately stood up from his bed and approached the door of his room.

"Yeah, what’s up mom?" he asked in a voice that was very different from how he spoke to himself before.

"It’s me Calvin, are you ready to study?" It was Victor at the door. Of course Liam felt very happy and still a bit suspicious.

However, for now he wanted to put aside his feelings of annoyance to be alone again with the love of his life.

He straightened his hair and clothes and opened the door.

"Mr. Calvin, you have finally come. Come in," he said softly and tried to look cute.

"Yes, thank you." He walked into Liam’s room as usual and sat on his chair.

Liam picked up the books he needed while asking about what happened two days ago.

"I just had some important business outside and I’m a little late for it," Victor replied curtly, intentionally not bringing it up again.

However, Liam’s both hands was suddenly on Victor’s thigh and he moved closer to his face.

"Important business in the middle of the night, where exactly did you go?"
