Chapter 140: I’m So Happy You’re Here

After a short break, Victor began to celebrate Daren’s birthday again for the second time despite missing a day. With a small cake, the two of them celebrated in Daren’s room.

"I know you don’t have much of a sweet tooth, so I deliberately made this little cake with a flavor you’ll love," Daren said and cut into the cake.

"Really? Because no matter how I eat it, it will be just as sweet. But I think this time it will be very sweet for me," Victor said and tasted the cake.

He admitted it did taste good on his tongue and Daren was pleased to hear that. But it seemed the Alpha had other plans and he went ahead with them.

"Since it’s your birthday, come and sit on my lap. I’ll give you another gift that you’ll definitely like," he said as he patted his lap.

At first, the Omega man was confused as to what gift Victor would give him. But when he said to sit on his lap, of course Daren couldn’t refuse and happily sat on his lover’s lap.

"Are you ready with your gift?"

"Yes, I’m ready. You don’t have to because your presence today is like a gift to me. But since you have prepared it, I will gladly accept it."

At that very moment Victor cut the cake on his plate and ate it. He then grabbed Daren’s chin and started kissing him. Eating the cake in his mouth together, savoring the not-so-sweet cream. Surprisingly, the cream became very sweet when they ate it with each other.

"Do you like my gift, my Omega?" asked Victor as he looked into Daren’s eyes.

Still breathing heavily, Daren nodded his head. "Yes, I liked it very much, it was a sweet gift I got from you. Can I get it again?" asked Daren.

A smirk appeared on Victor’s face as he caressed his cheek. "Of course you can as long as you are my omega. You’ll always be able to get that kiss from me," he replied.

But they save that for later, as Daren feels that the kiss will trigger his heat. Since it was still too early for that, they decided to go out and enjoy their time together for the day.

"Something strange about your target?" asked Daren as they sat in his backyard.

Victor nodded. "He still looks like a normal schoolboy, he even acts so cute when he talks or does things. But I found pieces of photos and a broken doll under his bed."

Knowing this, Daren felt that Liam, or the target of his lover, had an obsessive and irritable nature, which he took out on photos and dolls. He became worried that Victor would become one of his target’s victims.

"I’m sure he has a doll with your picture on it. I don’t know what he’ll do with it, but if he really likes you he might use it to imagine that you’re his," said Daren, who was quite jealous when he said that.

Knowing that his Alpha was favored by another Omega, even that Omega imagined that Victor was his, certainly made Daren jealous thinking about it. However, he tried to remain calm without looking the least bit jealous.

"It would be even more dangerous if he actually imagined you as his. So when he finds out you’re close to someone, he’ll feel jealous because he believed what he thought all along that you were his lover."

"I was thinking the same thing. But there’s no other way to stop this. Moreover, this mission will only be completed in 2 months. Because the college entrance test will start in 2 months," explained the agent thinking about his mission which was not dangerous but quite risky.

After the mission is complete, of course Victor will leave Liam for good. But when looking at the nature of the Omega, as Daren feared, he could be looking for information about Victor. Although everything on the internet about him must have been deleted or protected by his organization.

"But you don’t like that Omega, right? No matter how cute he is, you still like me more, right?" asked a jealous Daren as he stared at the man, bringing their faces closer together.

His face was pouting, his lips were turned up in annoyance and he also wanted to hear a direct answer from him. Victor, who saw this, was only silent looking at the face of the actor who had been always close to him.

A face that was so cute to him and portrayed all the emotions he had been having.

"Why are you just silent? I asked you a question! Answer my question and don’t just--"

Before he could finish speaking, Victor pulled him into a deep and passionate kiss that made it difficult for Daren to match his tongue play. His strong hands kept him from pulling away until he finally broke their kiss and looked up at him sharply.

"Do you still doubt my feelings for you?"

He shook his head and said he never doubted Victor’s feelings for him. However, he asked a question that Victor didn’t expect.

"Then when are you going to bond with me? You said that after everything was done you would bond with me. Have you changed your mind now?"

The dark-haired man had promised to bite Daren’s bonding neck after Sam and Barney were gone. Saying that everything would be fine then. But he was rethinking this for some reason he couldn’t tell Daren.

"I guess we’ll talk about that later. Besides, there are many things we have to think about before we do it. So it’s better to leave that aside."

Seeing how Victor didn’t want to talk about bonding with him, Daren could only remain silent and nodded because he didn’t want to create a scene between the two of them.

Victor noticed how Daren looked dissatisfied with his answer, but it was all for Daren’s own good. According to him, bonding is done when both of them are completely okay with it. Because with the bonding bite, it means that they have permanently marked each other.

However, if there is still doubt between the two of them, bonding can actually kill one of them. And Victor didn’t want that to happen to Daren or endanger him because his pheromones were bonded to the Omega.

His hand gently rubbed Daren’s head then briefly kissed his forehead. Hoping he would understand someday.
