Chapter 110: Mysterious Call

On that day they enjoyed a barbeque together at the back of the Villa while taking in the beautiful ocean view. Daren ate his barbeque meat together with Axel while talking about several things. Including what they had just done an hour ago.

"My waist still hurts a lot. You squeezed so hard just now. Next time don’t be so rough like that," Daren said while rubbing his waist.

"I couldn’t help myself. You’re too hard to resist, blame yourself for being too alluring," Axel replied casually then ate the barbeque in his hand.

The Omega frowned in annoyance, until suddenly a call came into his cell phone. He didn’t know who was calling him because the number wasn’t saved in his contacts.

"Vic, someone called me but I didn’t save the number. Should I answer it?"

Axel took his boyfriend’s phone and looked at the number. "Let’s try, there are many possibilities as to who the number belongs to," he replied.

Mike who was with them was also curious as to who was calling Daren. Finally, Daren answered the phone by turning on the speaker and a familiar man’s voice was heard.

"Hello Daren, how are you doing, hmn? Do you like your current hiding place?" the man asked.

"Ivan... What do you want by calling me at this time, huh?" asked Daren in annoyance because he had blocked Ivan’s number long ago.

And of course the man had used a new number to call him. Of course he had other plans by calling Daren.

"Oh, are you still angry with me? Come on, what’s the need to be angry? Didn’t your beloved lover save you? It’s lucky that I didn’t insist on checking on you, whether you were alive or not," he said.

Daren gripped the cell phone firmly in his hand because he was annoyed by Ivan’s understatement about the man who sent Axel to kill him. It all seemed like nothing to Ivan.

In the midst of his annoyance, Ivan suddenly spoke in a voice that was so soft and slow. Like the Ivan that Daren had always seen before all this happened.

"Oh Daren, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do it, are you okay? No need to worry, I will help you to solve this problem," he said which made Daren’s eyes drop for a moment, before Ivan finally spoke again showing his true nature.

"That’s what you expected from me, hmn? That’s what you wanted to hear from me? Unfortunately, your Ivan Howard is dead. Sam Walton is the one talking to you right now," he said in a tone that was annoying to them.

’How dare he talk to Daren like that, if he was here, I’d break his hand!’ Mike thought with annoyance when he heard Daren and Ivan’s conversation.

While Axel had been trying not to say anything, he was annoyed but he would see how far Ivan would try to play on Daren’s feelings.

According to him, Ivan had done it deliberately in order to get Daren to meet him and resolve this problem directly, because he knew that Daren usually resolved problems by talking to the person directly. It was the same when Noah Oliver’s case caused him a lot of terror.

He intended to discuss this directly with the Alpha, but instead all they found was his body.

Axel’s hand tapped Daren’s shoulder, looking at him as if he was giving a code to keep his Omega from getting carried away by his anger and making the wrong decision. He was sure it was another trap.

He nodded in understanding then spoke again.

"I don’t expect to hear that name again. Besides, my goal now is just to live peacefully without you and my father. So stop contacting me and take whatever you want," he replied.

However, there was a sudden burst of laughter from inside the phone. Ivan said that he knew that Daren would say it. But things weren’t as easy as he said.

Upset, Mike grabbed Daren’s cell phone and spoke to Ivan.

"What exactly do you want, huh?! You’ve got everything you want and Daren won’t stand in your way, why do you still want him dead?" he asked irritably.

"Oh hello Mike, it turns out your puppy is now a good barker, Daren. I thought he would just continue to be an obedient puppy and follow everything you say," said Ivan mocking Mike who had always been silent and smiled sweetly without saying anything.

The blond man held his butler’s hand and took his cell phone back from the Alpha’s hand.

"Don’t talk nonsense, he’s not a dog, he’s my family. Now what do you want? You want me to die in front of you, huh?"

"Of course, what else do you think I expect from that?"

They continued talking to each other, listening to whatever Ivan had to say to him.

However, they didn’t realize that someone was watching them from a distance. Watching while preparing to wait for orders to do his job.

"But now that I think about it, you should have stayed alive but felt the pain I felt all this time for losing everything I had."

He wrinkled his forehead. "I already said, you can take everything. I don’t want those treasures anymore, I’ve even cut off my ties with the Wyne Family, what else do you expect?"

A woman’s scream rang out as Viona was shot in the back. She fell down covered in blood, Daren reflexively turned his head with his blue eyes widened.

Not only Daren, Mike, Axel and Edgar were also shocked to see Viona who fell down because of the several shots she got.

"MOM!!!" He ran to his mother and hugged her. "Mom! Mom wake up! Mom hold on!"

He looked at his own hands that were filled with red liquid, his mother’s blood flowing from her back.

"MOOMMMM!"
