Stowing away the injection, Xu Huo had just left the study when he realized that the manor was crowded with visitors; a large number of flying vehicles were parked outside, and both Black Epaulettes and Bai Jianzhang had arrived in full force. Ran Ying, who was leading the group, stood in the living room. She turned around upon hearing his footsteps and smiled, "Mr. Xu, we meet again."

Since the last departure from the ship, Xu Huo had not had any dealings with Ran Ying upon returning to Zone 011.

Considering Ran Ying had taken him, an outsider, onto the ship, she was undoubtedly aware of what might transpire aboard. The superficial relationship between the "Influential Power" and "Pretty Boy" could no longer be upheld. Clearly, however, the other party felt no guilt nor looked to continue the charade, instead switching to a typical work-like attitude.

Xu Huo glanced at the two robots Cheng Bing and Guo Yingguang, who he’d met once before, as well as the Long-haired Player responsible for coercion. He then descended the stairs and said, "Miss Ran is a rare guest—please sit."

"Mr. Dong, please serve tea for Miss Ran and her colleagues."

"There’s no need, I am here for official business today," Ran Ying did not take a seat.

Xu Huo smiled faintly, "Is Miss Ran here to apprehend me?"

"That’s not it..." Ran Ying paused, wanting to continue but Xu Huo interrupted, saying, "There’s no rush. Please, sit down, have a cup of tea, and we’ll speak after."

Speaking from behind, one Black Epaulette sneered discontentedly, "You’ve only been here a few days, but you’ve adapted quite well to the role of Baron!"

The Black Epaulettes accompanying Ran Ying, naturally well-trained, did not show any emotion because of this remark, while the few Bai Jianzhang instead displayed signs of impatience.

Ran Ying did not move, so naturally no one sat down for tea to show respect to Xu Huo. However, it was clear Xu Huo wouldn’t give the Enforcement Department this courtesy either, sitting and waiting for Mr. Dong to serve tea.

People were bustling in and out of the kitchen, serving tea as per his request. It didn’t matter to Xu Huo if no one drank; under the gaze of dozens of pairs of eyes, he leisurely savored his tea.

"What is with that attitude!" The same Black Epaulette who’d spoken earlier strode forward, gesturing as if to slam his hand on the table.

"Be mindful of where you are," Xu Huo gave him a pointed glance.

The Black Epaulette’s face was full of fury, and just as he was about to speak, Ran Ying patted his shoulder from behind, signaling him to step back. She then sat down opposite Xu Huo, picking up a cup of tea for herself.

"Mr. Xu, someone has reported that you are harboring a dangerous player who is an expert in potions. We hope you can cooperate with our investigation."

Xu Huo looked towards the entrance where dozens of people had gathered, "Miss Ran must have brought the government’s authorization with her, seeing as you’ve brought so many people."

The Enforcement Department could search any ordinary citizen’s property on a whim, but now possessing the status of a Noble, Xu Huo was subject to special treatment in Zone 011. Any affairs involving Nobles required a special application by the Enforcement Department—at least ostensibly, and especially in this core city.

"I wouldn’t come without authorization," Ran Ying raised her hand, and the female robot behind her showed the authorization.

The authorization was legitimate, but it only permitted questioning, meaning that the Enforcement Department could only interrogate Xu Huo without the right to search Rose Castle or conduct a formal inquiry.

Looking at the authorization, Xu Huo leaned back, his hands resting on his knees, "Supporting government operations is the duty of every citizen."

"I wonder who the player is that the Enforcement Department is searching for—do you have a photo?"

After receiving Ran Ying’s permission, the robot Cheng Bing displayed video related to Dr. Deng; from his arrival in Zone 011, to seeking employment with Rong Xin, and finally, his visits to Rose Castle on two separate occasions.

"The second time he entered Rose Castle, he didn’t come out again," Cheng Bing said. "And during his first visit to the castle, he stayed for a substantial amount of time."

Xu Huo shifted his gaze back and asked Mr. Dong, "Do you remember this person?"

Mr. Dong nodded, "He came looking for you twice, sir, but you did not have time to meet with him."

Rose Castle had no surveillance, and even if it did, Mr. Dong, who controlled the castle, would have disabled it; hence, the Enforcement Department could only obtain video of Dr. Deng visiting Rose Castle, with no certainty who had received him.

"He’s only been in Zone 011 for a short while and has no direct ties to Mr. Xu; why would he seek you out repeatedly?" Ran Ying said.

"You should ask him that," Xu Huo chuckled. "Or perhaps ask the person who made the report. They must know his purpose since they are keeping such close tabs on him."

"We’ve been investigating this player for some time; his intentions in joining Rong Xin were illicit. Using his expertise in potions, he stole a piece of critical data, which is of great significance to Zone 011. Since Mr. Xu plans to settle down here and is part of Zone 011, harming the interests of Zone 011 does you no good," Ran Ying said, her gaze fixed on him.

Xu Huo’s expression remained unchanged, "According to you, I have already cooperated."

At this, Ran Ying actually smiled, "Mr. Xu, cooperating with the Enforcement Department investigation isn’t as simple as just saying so. We need to use some special props to verify whether what you’re saying is true or false."

Xu Huo’s expression darkened slightly, and he didn’t continue speaking, allowing Mr. Dong to take over.

This well-mannered butler who used ventriloquism to speak stood to the side and said, "The authorization presented by the Enforcement Department allows for a conversation with the gentleman. You do not have the government’s authorization yet you intend to forcibly detain my master—the Enforcement Department does not have such authority, and the government would not allow it."

"Zone 011 has a comprehensive legal system, and as the enforcement arm of the law, the Enforcement Department is subject to even stricter regulations. You all might face imprisonment or exile for your actions after this event."

"Lady Lily has been notified of your arrival at the castle."

The Black Epaulettes were of course aware of what he said, but Dr. Deng’s situation was sensitive; even offending a Duchess would be worthwhile to them, otherwise Ran Ying wouldn’t have brought so many people here.

"The Duchess will be informed of this matter later," she said as she stood, looking down at Xu Huo, "If you wish to return to Zone 011, I advise you not to resist. If you use your tickets to flee, it would confirm your guilt of conspiring with others in theft."

Two robots equipped with spatial restriction devices began to approach Xu Huo, who slightly lifted a finger, about to rise, when a flying vehicle rushed into the castle’s courtyard. The Duchess, lavish and heavily made-up, stepped down from the vehicle and coldly swept her gaze over Ran Ying and the others, "I know the Black Epaulettes have been very high-profile lately. I didn’t expect that you’d become so arrogant as to disrespect the Nobles. If this goes on, do you also intend to replace the Nobility and the government?"
