Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!
Chapter 692: Shared Vision in Name and in Reality

Chapter 692: Chapter 692: Shared Vision in Name and in Reality

The group exchanged some practical props with each other, of course, they each had their reservations, so when they defined their detailed division of labor, they chose their roles based on their own characteristics and props.

The plan had two key points, the first was to attract the Black Armored People at the entrance of Sifang Palace City, and the second was a feint attack on Sifang Palace City.

There were too many Black Armored People, and they were immune to the effects of regular properties and props, so the players were at a disadvantage in battle. Thus, the best strategy was to lure them out of Sifang Palace City.

Of course, it was impossible to draw them all out, so after causing chaos at the entrance, some people needed to immediately launch an attack on Sifang Palace City to draw out more Black Armored People’s fire.

Only by doing so could they maximally restrain the Black Armored People, which was also the best mode of cooperation given the limited manpower.

Then it would be Xu Huo’s turn to set fire.

The process of fire setting was also very delicate. Simply burning a few houses might not draw the attention of the dungeon boss, but if the fire threat became too great, he would become the primary target of the Black Armored People. Therefore, the range of the fire had to be broad, but the duration could not be too long.

This involved advance preparation.

Using the people and corpses inside Sifang Palace City to carry fire accelerants was convenient, but not practical. There were many open flames in the city, and the accelerants would spontaneously ignite in the presence of flames within a 50-meter radius. Fires started this way could easily be extinguished by the puppet-like corpses and residents, without the Black Armored People even needing to intervene.

Therefore, the fire accelerants needed to be placed a little away from the crowds, and the fires needed to start from the center.

"Our targets are the Eye Totem inside the city and the drum in front of the Sifang Palace, especially the drum," Fang Penghui said, looking at the black-shirted player, "Whether it’s destroying or stealing, once successful, retreat immediately. Don’t blindly enter the Sifang Palace; if the entire palace is a prop, entering will surely mean doom."

The black-shirted player nodded his head, "I will close my vision when I get close to the front of Sifang Palace. If that doesn’t work, you all need to be even more careful."

Everyone nodded. Except for Fang Penghui and his partner, who were responsible for the entrance, the others needed to head in the direction of Sifang Palace, setting up the incendiaries along the way, and then provide support to the black-shirted player and Yi Pei at the front of Sifang Palace.

Xu Huo and another player, each responsible for one street, would set the fires.

However, considering the size of the city, two people were indeed not enough, but it was the only option for now.

"Everyone, although we’re strangers, we’re now in the same boat. I’ll skip the empty words and hope everyone can survive and clear this level," Fang Penghui said, surveying the group, "Also, please be aware, our life-risking plan is just to destroy part of the dungeon’s mechanics. The risk level of this dungeon has long exceeded Level D. If we anger the dungeon boss, we might face even greater danger. So, don’t think about letting others sacrifice themselves while you hide behind. Anyone left behind will meet an even worse fate; only by working together do we stand a chance."

"If anyone hasn’t figured it out by now, there’s not much to say," Fu Danhong spoke, "This dungeon boss doesn’t play by the rules. Those who died earlier might have had a quick death, but if we really anger it, the boss might torture the players. You’ve all seen those players who were eaten brain and guts."

That being said, even before the action began, there was already an air of certain defeat among the players.

"Sorry, but I don’t plan on dying here," Xu Huo said, ignoring their "pre-battle rally" and checking the time, "Can we start now?"

"You’re such a devil," Fu Danhong rolled her eyes, synchronized her watch, and stood up, "I’m going first. If I’m unlucky and get killed by the Black Armored People before support arrives, you folks better stay strong and avenge me."

Yi Pei couldn’t help but laugh, "You’re quite something."

"If you made it out of the Black Armored People’s hands and got here, you won’t die that easily," Xu Huo said, "Just be careful."

Fu Danhong refused to talk with him and, after nodding to the other two players, avoided the gaze of the Black Armored People and snuck back into Sifang Palace City.

Next were Yi Pei and the black-shirted player; they could go directly to Sifang Palace.

Xu Huo and the other arsonist fell a few steps behind, first ambushing near the city’s entrance, waiting for Fang Penghui’s signal to act.

Xu Huo put on his invisibility cloak and went to his pre-selected position, inadvertently spotting Xiao Yun’s Brother through a window. The man sat in the corner of a room with an emotionless face, staring blankly at the non-stop celebratory crowd.

He tapped lightly on the wooden wall, and Xiao Yun’s Brother moved slightly, but he didn’t turn around immediately. It wasn’t until Xu Huo tapped a second time that he stood up and, with his eyes closed, faced the window.

"I can’t see you," he said, "The ritual hasn’t ended yet; you don’t count as a person of Sifang Palace City, so you can open your eyes and talk to me."

"After the ritual ends, will your god be able to use everyone’s eyes?" Xu Huo whispered, "Shared Vision indeed... Do you know what exactly you’re worshipping?"

"I’m not sure," Xiao Yun’s Brother answered straightforwardly, "Probably some kind of monster."

"I know you are players, this place is a dungeon. Many players have come before you, and some have told me about the outside world, and some wanted to save us, but in the end, they all died."

"I want to know, is this dungeon truly against the rules? Why isn’t anyone dealing with us? We’re not players; we’re just ordinary people."

"Typically, that would be the case," Xu Huo said. Mental Interference coupled with the Suitcase Man’s puppets, the dungeon should have been upgraded by now. But, "the outside world is so vast, a few small dungeons probably don’t matter to anyone."

In fact, the game usually doesn’t care what happens inside dungeons unless someone seriously breaches the rules. Considering dungeons like the Skinning Artisan’s, which made a killing from live human ingredients, were "wildly popular," it should be obvious that the game doesn’t care how many people die inside dungeons, much less about rule-breaking that skirts the edge of legality.

"But you could look at it from another angle," he continued, "With all the heavy fog and rain, hiding everything, you can tell that the ’god’ ruling this place isn’t very powerful."

High-level players destroying low-level dungeons constitutes a serious rule violation, of course, the Suitcase Man’s puppets didn’t count as high-level players directly entering a low-level dungeon. However, since this dungeon has introduced his puppets, the risk level isn’t the same.

Typically, fixed dungeons have slightly stricter rules than random dungeons. If a dungeon has an actual holder, which means a real person as the dungeon boss, then when the dungeon levels up, the holder’s powers will increase. Judging by the state of this dungeon, it’s likely that the dungeon holder doesn’t want to upgrade the dungeon.

There could be many reasons for this, but Xu Huo thought the most likely ones were that either the involvement of the notorious fugitive Suitcase Man would bring some negative repercussions, or that the dungeon boss wasn’t strong enough, only wishing to rule a small area and kill people to their heart’s content, deliberately avoiding an upgrade.
