On the other side, Kang Hong and Chen Shu also hurriedly closed the nearby elevator door. In the rush, Chen Shu glanced into the elevator shaft and cried out in horror, "All the doors below have opened, and more aliens are coming up from the third and fourth floors!"

"Close the door!" Kang Hong shouted.

The two of them managed to trap an alien that was climbing up the elevator shaft wall inside, not daring to pause, they immediately went to close the next elevator door.

However, there were more aliens than they had anticipated, and they were faster. Kang Hong was caught off guard when one of the aliens bit his leg and dragged half of his body into the elevator shaft. Chen Shu reacted quickly and grabbed him. Seeing more aliens continuously appear at the elevator doors below, looking up and trying to climb up, Chen Shu turned around and yelled, "Quick, come and save Kang Hong!"

Xiao Ba, who was closest, rushed to help while Xu Huo and the others were entangled with an alien that stood two meters tall.

The two-meter-tall alien, judging by its height alone, must be quite imposing. Yet, in reality, this alien looked like it had a congenital defect, resembling a wild boar with no obvious fur. Its body was surprisingly short, its limbs were surprisingly long, and its mouth sported a pair of genuine, large fangs. Its mismatched body looked very unbalanced at first glance.

However, its speed and strength far exceeded other aliens. It had dodged attacks from Xu Huo and Dai Wenqian repeatedly and even kicked Gu Yu into serious injury. When Chen Shu called for help, it was stepping on the Bull Shield, grinding Xu Huo against the wall!

Gu Yu charged from behind and knocked one of its hind legs askew, allowing Xu Huo to break free. But then, he was sent flying by a headbutt from the alien!

With his innate speed, Zheng Liang drew the alien’s attention away from Xu Huo. After leading it away, he continuously changed positions, and the glass rooms on the entire thirteenth floor were almost entirely smashed by the alien!

Xu Huo, who had fallen near the elevator, saw Chen Shu shaking violently with both legs against the half-closed elevator door. Xiao Ba, clutching her waist, was unable to pull her up. He pushed himself to his feet, went over, and with a few slashes of his sword, killed the alien hanging on Kang Hong’s leg. After pulling the two up, he closed the elevator door.

Ignoring the sounds of impacts and howling on the opposite side, he quickly returned to the battleground.

"Cough!" Dai Wenqian blinded one eye of the alien with a potion bottle and was then thrown against a glass room. He coughed up blood as he landed amongst the shattered glass and quickly said, "If we keep fighting like this, we’ll surely die. Let’s get it into the elevator shaft!"

Not all fifteen elevators were completely closed. Xu Huo exchanged glances with Gu Yu and Zheng Liang. Zheng Liang was responsible for drawing the alien’s attention to the elevator side, while Xu Huo and Gu Yu cooperated from the left and right, acting as targets to distract the alien and keep it from veering off course.

But just as they had managed to lure it in front of an elevator door, the creature moved away from the door, the moment Zheng Liang left. It caught up with the fleeing Zheng Liang at an incredible speed and stabbed a tooth into his armpit!

"Fuck!" Zheng Liang, who narrowly avoided further injury, couldn’t help but exclaim, and then shouted, "My special item’s time is up!"

At that moment, Xu Huo came up from the side and slashed the alien’s foreleg with his sword!

The Crimson Sword’s target could only be the nearest object. Now that the thirteenth floor was entirely covered with debris, the special item’s effect could not be brought into play; thus, it could only serve as a lethal weapon.

However, the strike had its effect.

The enraged alien turned to chase him. Xu Huo, relying on his speed, and with the added boost from the Super Running Shoes, rushed towards the elevator and leaped in!

The tall but short-bodied alien lunged in after him!

This alien was evidently not a climber, as jumping in only meant plummeting down. Xu Huo, suspended in midair by the strings of his instrument, swung his sword in a small arc. Without any obstruction, he slaughtered the beast.

The alien’s body fell deep into the elevator shaft. He did not kill any other aliens but returned to the thirteenth floor and closed the elevator door.

By then, all the aliens on the thirteenth floor had been cleared. Jiang Yihua, Da Zhi, Xiao Ba, Zheng Liang, and Chen Shu had sustained minor injuries. Xu Huo and Dai Wenqian, as well as Gu Yu, had internal injuries that were not light. The most seriously injured was Kang Hong—both of his legs had been bitten by several aliens, and the flesh on his lower legs was almost gnawed away, leaving the bones chillingly exposed.

Chen Shu quickly wrapped his legs, while Jiang Yihua and Da Zhi helped him take a Self-Healing Potion.

As for Zhang Biao, aside from one arm that he temporarily couldn’t move, he had no other injuries, and the Bald Head player was even luckier, with just a minor scratch. The dozen or so people who went down with them didn’t return at all.

"What the hell were you looking for down there?" Zheng Liang grabbed Zhang Biao’s arm, "You actually lured so many Aliens, did you want to get us all killed?!"

Zhang Biao’s face showed his frustration, "I was just rummaging through trash like yesterday, didn’t touch anything else, I had no idea that Aliens would come out!"

Before he could finish, a gnawing and slapping sound came from the direction of the window!

"Don’t be scared, don’t be scared!" Da Zhi said: "The windows are all sealed with metal, they can’t get in!"

However, trouble doesn’t come singly; a sound of something crawling could be heard in the ventilation duct of the thirteenth floor.

Everyone looked up, only to see the cover shaking.

Underneath the cover were metal bars that, together with the glass room, supported it, but the fight had knocked open the bars, along with the glass room, and now there was only a layer of tape sealing the top!

"There isn’t an Alien crawling into the ventilation duct, is there?" Zheng Liang swallowed.

"Not an Alien, it’s a Man-Eating Flower!" Xu Huo’s face changed, "Immediately go up to the fifteenth floor!"

"The entire elevator shaft is full of Aliens, how can we go up!" Jiang Yihua said.

"There’s an elevator stuck between the thirteenth and twelfth floors!" Xiao Ba immediately went to find that elevator, and after opening the door said, "This is it!"

"I’ll go up first!" Zheng Liang grabbed the vine of the Man-Eating Flower.

"I’ll go with you." Xu Huo stepped forward, taking him up to the fifteenth floor together.

The fifteenth floor was also covered in quite a few Man-Eating Flowers, but there were much fewer than downstairs. Taking advantage of the Aliens being drawn to the thirteenth floor, Xu Huo first cut off the Man-Eating Flowers connected to the window.

The tape previously used on the windows served some purpose as some flower vines were entangled by the tape, forming a single unit that could be severed with a single sword stroke.

Over there, Zheng Liang secured the vine and joined him in clearing the vines.

Seeing more Aliens climbing up, he threw the electric wire out the window, smashed the container down, and shouted, "Go to hell, I don’t believe you’re not afraid of electricity!"

With a flick of the switch, the Aliens at both ends were shocked and fell down, Zheng Liang laughed loudly.

Xu Huo stepped forward and gave him a kick, "Go clear the vines on the left and right!"
