Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!
Chapter 204: Unclear Plant Game Hint

Chapter 204: Chapter 204: Unclear Plant Game Hint

"We could use two more players; that way we’d be a lot safer," Xu Huo paused before adding, "The rest of the people will fill in."

"Who are you to decide the life and death of others!" an excited man in his fifties or sixties stood up from the back.

"My fists are the biggest reason!" Brother Tie turned around and glared fiercely at the man, "Don’t forget that there are one hundred and eight people on this floor, and four more on the next one."

The man was so frightened that he quickly turned away, but then he looked at Xu Huo and the others angrily, "Didn’t you just say you had a way? You said we could all get out alive, but now you’re telling us to wait to die floor by floor!"

Kang Hong and Chen Shu had calmed everyone down with these words earlier, but now they faced questioning looks of helplessness and anger on their faces.

"...It’s all your fault, being players, that’s the mistake. If there were no players, there would be no such damn game instance, and we wouldn’t be in this mess..."

"The incident a few days ago too. Those people who came from other places were after a powerful item; if it hadn’t been there, so many people wouldn’t have died, the world would still be peaceful, and I’d still be sitting in an air-conditioned room eating watermelon... This is a nightmare!"

Some people were clearly not in their right minds.

The ninth floor suddenly became agitated, and more than ten players were surrounded by the crowd, with dozens of emotionally diverse eyes making it difficult to sit or stand.

"What does this have to do with us," Xiao Ba whispered, "it’s not like we wanted to become players."

Ordinary people could live well as long as they didn’t get caught up in random instances or unfortunate accidents. But once someone became a player, they were subject to an endless cycle of game instances until the day they died.

"Ha!" Zheng Liang let out a cold laugh at this point, "Isn’t it said that some people have no conscience? Aren’t we risking our lives to explore the game rules to save more people?"

"Otherwise, we would just ensure we made it to the first floor and to hell with everyone else!"

"Why waste time with all this talk!" Brother Tie, clenching his fists, interjected, "Kill a few and they’ll quiet down."

This time, not many people looked down; instead, their anger towards the players intensified.

"Those who are willing to join us in the overloaded elevator can step forward," Xu Huo said in a calm tone, breaking the tense atmosphere, "Whether you are a player or not, people are bound to die."

"Instead of fighting among ourselves, let’s make a contribution."

"Just because the upper floors aren’t very dangerous doesn’t mean the lower ones are safe either. In the instance, nothing is certain, and it’s not by killing all the players and other people that you can survive till the end."

Gu Yu and others were taken aback for a moment, and then Zhang Biao burst into laughter. "They think they can kill us all?"

Xu Huo looked at him until the smile on the other person’s face completely disappeared and he nervously shifted his eyes before standing up, "I’m going up to the thirteenth floor."

"Are you going to get the mutant plants? I’ll help," Gu Yu said.

"No rush," Xu Huo replied, "I’ll go up first and take a look."

"You’re not going to pull anything, are you?" Brother Tie eyed him suspiciously.

"You can go as well," Xu Huo stepped aside.

Brother Tie said nothing more.

Jiang Yihua and Da Zhi worked together to pry the elevator door open just a crack to make sure there were no other mutant animals inside before opening it a third of the way.

After Xu Huo entered, Jiang Yihua said, "No need to close the elevator door, right? We’ll be down here to cover you."

Xu Huo glanced at the silent elevator shaft and said, "If the Man-Eating Flower acts up, throw a potted plant down."

Jiang Yihua nodded.

He then asked Wei Bin, "Can you tolerate the poison gas to some extent?"

Wei Bin hesitated before replying, "I can."

"Then come up with me."

Wei Bin looked at Gu Yu, and only after she nodded did he agree.

Xu Huo, gripping the qin string, took him up to the thirteenth floor. Through the closed elevator doors, Wei Bin pressed his nose into the crack and sniffed hard, "There’s no problem now, but to be more accurate, let’s crack the door open a bit more."

Xu Huo held his breath to signal for him to start.

Wei Bin pried the elevator door open a sliver, waited a few seconds, and then said, "The air is fine."

Xu Huo nodded, "Shall we go in together?"

Wei Bin hurriedly shook his head, "You are skilled and brave. I’d rather not go in."

After Xu Huo returned Wei Bin to the lower floor, he went back to the thirteenth floor. First, he checked the mantis corpse that had been left inside, retrieved his cell phone, and then tentatively stepped into the floor.

The thirteenth floor showed no reaction.

He placed the mantis corpse in a glass room at the corner and set down another phone with a full battery. Then, he went to the glass room Jiang Yihua had mentioned before and found the purple potted plant that only had a tiny bit of energy.

[Unknown Plant: No name, no category, a small flower growing like a weed. It can grow anywhere in the game, common at some Wormhole Points, nearly non-existent at others.]

Although the game provided information about this plant, it couldn’t be added to the inventory. Thus, Xu Huo picked it up, moved a few more potted plants from the same glass room, and then left.

Once downstairs, Jiang Yihua and the others took the potted plants and asked, "How was it up there?"

"I didn’t encounter any mishaps," Xu Huo watched as Jiang Yihua casually placed the small purple flower in the middle of the cart, next to those plants that emitted pollen.

"Then what are we waiting for," Brother Tie came over, "let’s move the flowers up first."

Xu Huo didn’t stop them, and Brother Tie, along with Zhang Biao and a few players, moved to the thirteenth floor.

Dai Wenqian came over, merely glanced into the elevator, and commented indifferently, "You’re quite lucky."

Seeing Brother Tie and the others moving the flowers up and down, Zheng Liang couldn’t help but ask, "If the thirteenth floor is safe, why don’t we stay there?"

"We can chisel open the windows to ventilate and air the place out."

Neither Xu Huo nor Dai Wenqian said a word. Wei Bin explained, "The thirteenth floor seems safe now, but it has more uncertainties compared to other floors."

"You’ll encounter mutated animals or plants on other floors, but with so many plants together on the thirteenth floor, there could be unusual chemical reactions."

Zheng Liang’s eyes widened slightly, "And you still let them move the flowers down?"

"How many flowers can those few people move?" Wei Bin pointed at the window, "The air here is very fresh."

At that moment, Gu Yu came over and said to Xu Huo, "I’ve asked two more people to help you."

The two accompanying players were of varying heights, with the taller and shorter each having a martial arts background and stronger physical abilities.

"These two are among the more capable fighters of us players."

Xu Huo nodded; he now had eight players.

Currently, on the ninth floor, there were one hundred and eight people; the surplus of four must leave with them.

That meant they were short by nine people.

"We’ve discussed it and have decided to go with you," said the middle-aged woman who had scolded Zhang Biao and the others on the fourteenth floor, along with three others. The middle-aged woman said, "We don’t have many attachments left. If we can help others find a way to survive, it would be worth it."
