Chapter 1119: Extreme Kill

Chapter 1119: Chapter 1119: Extreme Kill

Avoiding Mr. Kang is not an easy task. Despite the weakening power of his spatial artifact, his speed is still formidable. Coupled with the assistance of other props, within less than three minutes, Xu Huo has accrued several more external injuries.

However, a couple of handy items are just enough. Even if the barrier of the "Unassailable Territory" can be penetrated, as long as it can withstand the immediate follow-up attacks, a rendezvous would mean the end of it.

Of course, the moment the spatial barrier is breached, or when the prop’s effect ends after three seconds, several special defense items and advanced items are all used up in this critical interval.

Nevertheless, as time passed, Xu Huo wasn’t the only one finding it hard to keep up; Mr. Kang was equally struggling.

The effect of his spatial artifact was indeed diminishing as Xu Huo described. Realizing that the continuous use of his items had failed to kill Xu Huo suggested that their props were essentially on par; some of Xu Huo’s individual items could even be superior. Being a Super Evolver, the longer the stalemate lasted, the greater the disadvantage for Kang—players from Xiaohe City had already retreated midway, with some still observing nearby.

Mr. Kang clearly didn’t consider these people waiting for a chance to help. He followed Xu Huo into a building that had yet to collapse and then sealed the building with a prop.

"Cage of the Trapped Beast," he stood at a corner, watching Xu Huo repeatedly failing to break through the barrier, and sneered, "No one’s getting out unless one dies."

Xu Huo slightly arched his eyebrows. He thought he could stall for a bit longer but didn’t expect things to come to a head so soon.

"You also said you were going to kill me five minutes ago," he said.

Mr. Kang, now fully committed to the cause, did not wish to waste words with Xu Huo. He bent down, one hand pressing the ground, and roared, "Rise!"

The ground was still, the building was still, but it was the space that was moving!

However, before he could fully sense it, an invisible blade had pierced through his right shoulder, and the blood that spurted out formed a triangular spike around it!

Only when Xu Huo expanded his Spiritual World to observe his surroundings did he discover that the spatial rays around him had all twisted into strands, protruding like exploded icicles, and it was one of the longer strands that had pierced his shoulder!

This scene shocked him immensely.

During his Super Evolution in Sea World, the spatial rays he saw were dense, but they had not materialized to such an extent. Besides, his manipulation of spatial rays was limited to "stirring" or passing through the gaps between lines. To move objects at a distance through the rays was still impossible, let alone solidifying the rays into actual weapons... and such weapons could not be completely blocked by ordinary props, including the barrier formed by the "Unassailable Territory." The ray that struck him had penetrated the barrier of this Rank A Prop!

However, curiously, the long blade formed by the rays did not completely destroy the spatial barrier, it seemed more like it had passed through the barrier—not slicing an opening, but as if it had fused with the barrier.

"Let’s see where you can run to now!" Mr. Kang let out a vicious laugh, and once again produced a large number of Spatial Ray Blades to chase after him.

Xu Huo kept moving and dodging while trapped in this small space, unable to even exit to the Spiritual World, and under Mr. Kang’s pressure, he had no choice but to keep closing in on him.

As the distance got closer, he violently threw several bottles of Poison, but before they could get close to Mr. Kang, they were blocked by the Spatial Barrier.

Besides creating Spatial Ray Blades, Mr. Kang had also constructed a sealed barrier in front of himself.

Xu Huo had tried to force his way through with Props, but none of them, including "Death of the Holder" and "Everything Wants to Slice," had any effect. That meant none of the Props he currently had could break Mr. Kang’s protective layer.

The Ray Blades on the ground were almost leaving him with no place to stand. He had also tried to alter the state of the rays without success...

With a shift in thought, he took out "Little Mushroom Cloud," and as he threw it toward Mr. Kang, he rushed headlong at him and tossed out Shelter 101!

"Little Mushroom Cloud" is a one cubic millimeter Spatial Prop that can explode, covering an area of a kilometer. Setting it off in this cramped space, even if it couldn’t completely shatter the Prop’s lock, should be enough to gravely injure Mr. Kang—it was the only option left!

Mr. Kang was not a Space-oriented Super Evolver; his repeated use of Spatial Power to chase after Xu Huo had transformed this not-so-large area into Chaotic Space. Coupled with obstructed vision, he didn’t notice the "Little Mushroom Cloud" immediately when it was thrown. Upon seeing Shelter 101, he thought Xu Huo was making a desperate struggle. Just as he was about to use another Prop to break through the shelter, "Little Mushroom Cloud" exploded.

This enclosed space was indeed as sturdy as he claimed; so when the explosive force was unleashed, it didn’t blow up the barrier first but built up inside, turning the cubic barrier into a spherical one before it ruptured in one spot. In that brief moment, Mr. Kang had already endured the blast of the explosion, and the Spatial Barrier in front of him shattered. By the time he hurriedly reached for a Defense Prop, he was already blasted through the wall with the shockwave!

Naturally, the building he had sealed turned into ash, the accumulated shockwave instantly demolished the surrounding half-ruined buildings, and a white light carrying vast amounts of dust obscured the sky, even clearing out the players from Xiaohe City who were crouched nearby!

Uncertain how many were dead or alive, as Shelter 101 was carried away by the shockwave, Xu Huo emerged, simultaneously invoked "Truth Above All" for six seconds of protection, and dashed straight at the airborne Mr. Kang!

Mr. Kang was injured; despite the timely use of Defense Props, his face and clothes were still torn apart by the blast. Covered in blood and furious, he saw Xu Huo daring to follow and forced himself to stabilize his body with a Prop, fiercely pulling out three Spatial Ray Blades and flung them forward!

This move was very effective against those not sensitive to spatial perception, who might not even realize how they were killed. For Xu Huo, it just required a bit more effort to dodge. To save time, he merely had to slightly alter his posture: it didn’t matter if he got injured as long as it wasn’t fatal!

So the three Spatial Ray Blades grazed past his waist. "Death of the Holder" led the way, while he held "Eye of the Deceased" and covered Mr. Kang with his Spiritual World, placing his young persona right in front of him!

Mr. Kang first intercepted the Metal Bead, and then without hesitation, reached for the head of the young Xu Huo, but just as he was about to touch him, he suddenly turned around, grabbed "Eye of the Deceased" with one hand, and with the other hand he stabbed at the chasing Xu Huo’s chest, "You think I wouldn’t know which is real and which is fake?"

His hand indeed penetrated "Xu Huo’s" chest, but immediately following, another Sword pierced through his own heart. Staring at the bloody sword protruding from his chest, he incredulously watched the "Xu Huo" he had "killed" vanish. His suspicions churned until they turned into a trace of ferocity!
