Chapter 587: Chapter 587: Beauties Have Always Loved Heroes, Warm Moments

"Hmm." Chen Wei nodded, acquiescing with an audible grunt, not capable of showing annoyance to anyone, least of all his own senior sister.

Seeing his agreement, Su Yumei linked her arm with Chen Wei’s, and they walked together toward the less crowded part of the beach.

Be followed?

The surrounding tourists certainly didn’t have the guts; it was clear that Chen Wei wasn’t in a good mood, and to provoke him would surely end badly.

As for the fate of those with guns?

They were well aware the Island Master would deal with these doomed men—fish in the sea were good accomplices in disposing of evidence.

A group of assassins, whose deaths no one would investigate, lived on the edge, unable to present themselves in respectable society.

Meanwhile, Elisa changed out of her swimsuit, donning a dress instead, and without gathering much luggage, she and Massey decided to travel light and return to Gentleman Country as quickly as possible.

Fortunately, the island wasn’t far from Gentleman Country. With a speedy journey, they could arrive within a day.

"Princess, I’ve arranged for the vessel, and Gentleman Country will concurrently dispatch Special Forces to meet us," said Massey, reporting to Elisa as she emerged, dressed from her room.

"Hmm, it’s time to go back, we can’t continue to cause trouble for Sister and the others," Elisa replied with a nod, and immediately departed the hotel with Massey, heading to the dock to board the ship.

The ship started, and Elisa stood on the dock. Even though she couldn’t see him and he seemed as small as an ant, she still sought to find Chen Wei’s figure.

"Massey, what do you think of that guy?" Elisa suddenly asked.

"The title of Heavenly God of Protecting the Country suits him well; indeed, he’s even more powerful than I imagined. Even if we can’t be friends, we must absolutely not be enemies!" Massey spoke with utmost seriousness.

He had never been so certain of anything like he was at that moment.

"Indeed, earlier, I thought he wasn’t worthy of Sister, but now I see, he definitely deserves to be called... brother-in-law." The words ’brother-in-law’ fell from his lips, his expression tinged with melancholy.

Noticing this, Massey chose to recognize the sentiment without addressing it.

Since ancient times, what beauty has not loved a hero?

Unfortunately, Massey knew Elisa too well; she would never compete with Hill for a man.

"Ah..." With this in mind, Massey could not help but sigh deeply, reminded of a saying from Great Xia about fate fooling men.

Or perhaps to call it ’destined but not fated’?

Both seemed apt, evoking his admiration for the profound depth of Great Xia culture!

The two did not speak further.

The ship sailed normally...

The focus shifts back to Chen Wei and Su Yumei.

The two found a quiet spot; while the beach was not as expansive as before, at least it was sufficiently peaceful.

Gazing sideways, one could see a hermit crab lugging its heavy shell, step by step toward the ocean.

Resting her hands on the warm beach sand, Su Yumei leaned back slightly, closing her eyes as she basked in the warm sunshine while also soaking in the salty sea breeze, then exclaimed, "Mmm... This is so relaxing."

Turning her head and opening her eyes, she saw Chen Wei still had a grim expression. Leaning into his shoulder with a slight body turn, Su Yumei nudged him gently, "Come on, stop scowling, cheer up. It’s just you and me here."

"Hmm." Chen Wei pursed his lips, acknowledging with an audible grunt.

"Hah..." He exhaled heavily; he gazed at the vast blue sea before him and then up at the equally expansive blue sky, clear of clouds. Chen Wei felt his mood stabilize gradually, calming down.

He no longer thought about those vexing matters—there was no need.

It was better to cherish the present.

Noticing a few coconuts that had fallen nearby, Chen Wei asked Su Yumei, "Senior Sister, are you thirsty?"

"Hmm... a little," Su Yumei smacked her lips and looked around. "We’re quite far from any place selling water. Just bear with it for now. Drinking sea water will only make us thirstier."

"No need, we’re in luck, there are coconuts right here." Chen Wei stood up and walked over, picking up two relatively fresh coconuts that had just fallen from the tree, and returned to Su Yumei’s side.

"This thing is so hard, how do we open it?" Su Yumei suddenly remembered a survival program she had seen on television where guests smashed open the coconut shell with a rock and then drank the coconut water through the crack.

Although not much could be drunk, with most of it spilling out of the mouth, it really quenched thirst.

Just as she was about to suggest this idea to Chen Wei, she opened her mouth but then witnessed with her own eyes as his hand came down like a "knife."

With a bang, he struck the fresh coconut shell, which they had no idea he could crack open with his bare hands, creating a fracture.

Bang! Bang!

After a few fierce strikes, the cracks connected, forming a circle.

With a gentle twist of his hands, he revealed the smooth, white flesh of the coconut.

Chen Wei smiled and handed it over to Su Yumei, "Sister, you can bite into the coconut flesh with your teeth and drink the juice inside."

"This coconut flesh is quite tender; it’s edible."

"Okay, thank you." Su Yumei woodenly extended her hands, accepting the coconut from Chen Wei, clearly still not having recovered from his earlier violent and direct action.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Watching Chen Wei in front of her, once again tearing away the outer skin of the coconut with his bare hands, then splitting open the shell to reveal the flesh and biting it off to drink the juice hungrily.

Looking at Chen Wei’s somewhat reddened hands, Su Yumei tentatively asked, "Doesn’t that hurt?"

"Hurt? I don’t feel a thing," Chen Wei replied earnestly.

This wasn’t to keep Su Yumei from worrying; he truly felt nothing.

Besides the coconut shell, when he was on the battlefield, he had split open skulls with his bare hands and felt nothing.

"Oh..." Hearing him say that, Su Yumei felt relieved.

She opened her cherry lips, bit off a piece of coconut, chewed it, and even though it wasn’t as sweet as she imagined, the crispy texture was still nice.

Then, she drank the coconut water through the small hole she had bitten, gulping it down eagerly.

Putting down the coconut, she wiped the juice spilling from her mouth with her arm and exclaimed in surprise, "It’s so sweet!"

"This variety of coconut is indeed a lot sweeter," Chen Wei explained.

"I see."

The two of them, facing the sun, eating the coconut flesh and drinking the juice - though it wasn’t as luxurious as exotic delicacies or full-course meals - felt incredibly content.

Chen Wei’s heart settled down completely.

However, over at Elisa’s end, things were far from peaceful.

Massey had not expected those people to launch a second round of kidnapping so quickly.

It seems there were still fish that slipped through the net on the island!

Mixing in with the crowds, he constantly observed the surroundings and passed on information!

Their boat was surrounded by three speedboats in a triangle, firmly sealed off in the front and back, leaving no way out.

"So, we still can’t escape, can we?" Elisa couldn’t help but show a bitter smile.

She told Massey to quickly go hide below deck since they were only after her.

There was no need to increase casualties unnecessarily!
