Chapter 565: Chapter 565: Shocking the Captain

"President Chen, may I ask if you have any instructions?" The yacht staff was always ready with the walkie-talkie, just waiting for Chen Wei to issue an order.

"My fishing bucket is full, can you please bring me a slightly larger one?" Chen Wei explained.

"Sure, we will have someone bring you a bigger bucket right away."

"Mhm."

The communication ended.

The staff immediately took action, found the person in charge, and asked, "Boss, the guest’s fish bucket is full, he’s asking us to prepare a bigger one."

"Full? How is that possible? That bucket can hold at least several dozen pounds of fish..." the man was somewhat incredulous.

However, to maintain Chen Wei’s face, they still found a large box for fish, and two people carried it up together with some effort.

"President Chen, do you think this box is big enough?" the captain asked.

"Yes, that’s fine." Chen Wei nodded, satisfied.

"You can take that bucket and keep the fish alive in it for now. We can kill them when time is up."

"Alright!" Following Chen Wei’s gaze, the two men looked over and were almost shocked speechless—the bucket was indeed full, with several large tails sticking out into the air.

They thought to themselves, President Chen is really something! A professional angler?

Without giving it much thought, they quickly came to their senses. Several dozen pounds of fish, plus the water, made it that two people had to carry the bucket together, as it would be quite difficult for one person alone.

In the stairwell, making sure their conversation wouldn’t be overheard, the staff then began to express their inner amazement, "Holy smokes! That guy is incredible. In less than half an hour, he actually caught so many fish. What’s most frightening is, fishing is supposed to be difficult this season, right?"

"Indeed, the same sea area, a bunch of professional anglers worked hard for half a day and only managed to catch one octopus. I still remember the disappointed look on their faces." The captain stared at the bucket of fish, still finding it unbelievable.

He often paid attention to professional fishing competitions and hadn’t heard of such a formidable young contender. If there were, he surely would have remembered.

Could it be that the man was just playing around?

The more he thought about it, the more he felt that the man must have been extraordinarily gifted; otherwise, how could he afford to rent the yacht and take a girlfriend with celestial beauty out to sea for fun?

No comparison, no comparison at all.

They could only watch in envy.

...

The view shifted back to the deck.

Noticing the brilliant smile on Su Yumei’s face, Chen Wei asked curiously, "Senior Su, what are you laughing about? Is there something that makes you happy?"

"I’m laughing at those two people who looked at you as if you were a monster. In such little time, you managed to catch so many big fish." Su Yumei still found it funny to recall the captain and the staff members staring at the bucket of fish with dumbstruck expressions.

"Senior Su, if I were you, I couldn’t laugh."

"Why not?" Su Yumei asked in return.

"Because I’ve already caught the third fish and you haven’t caught a single one yet." Chen Wei removed the hook from the fish’s mouth and tossed it into the bucket.

"It’s not over until it’s over, who knows?" Su Yumei said casually, unperturbed.

She had never really believed she could win from the start.

Unlike others, for Su Yumei, the process was far more important than the result.

Time ticked by, minute by minute, and an hour had quickly passed.

Su Yumei’s hands were beginning to feel sore and achy. In this hour, she had only caught three fish.

Compared to not being able to catch a single fish at the beginning, Su Yumei felt that this was indeed great progress.

On the other hand, looking at the semi-transparent large plastic box placed at the feet of Chen Wei, even without seeing the inside, it was easy to judge how many big fish were there, simply based on the dark shadows that showed through the walls of the box.

This kid, still as freakish as ever.

Seeing Chen Wei swinging his arms, and no longer casting his line, he took the initiative to propose, "I think we might as well call it quits here, the outcome is clear. If Sister Su, you haven’t had your fill, I can give you a massage to relax before we continue."

"No need, let’s stop for today," Su Yumei felt she had enough, and now just wanted to lie on the couch and rest well.

"Okay," Chen Wei agreed cheerfully.

Then, he used the walkie-talkie to contact the captain and asked him to send more people over.

Initially, they sent over three people but soon realized it wasn’t enough, so they called for a chef, and it took the four of them, working together, to carefully move the box full of big fish back to the kitchen.

Too shocked to speak.

As regulars in this sea area, they knew better than others that many of these fish were difficult to catch, bordering on the level of Hell, and their flesh was so delicious that the wealthy were offering thousands as a bounty.

But Chen Wei caught several with ease.

The captain initially thought Chen Wei was impressive, but he realized he had underestimated him; Chen was not just impressive, he was terrifying! Freakish!

...

On the deck.

"Sister, no matter how I think about it, I feel like I’m at a loss," Chen Wei inhaled sharply, puzzled, yet his fingers never stopped massaging the slightly tense muscles of Su Yumei’s thighs as she lay on the couch.

"Why?" Su Yumei asked knowingly.

"I clearly won, but why am I the one giving you a massage? It feels like I’m the loser," Chen Wei complained.

"So what do you want?" Su Yumei sat up, propped her head with her hand, and stared directly at Chen Wei with a smile, asking playfully.

"There’s no need for anything special, as long as Sister is happy," Chen Wei was only joking, not really caring.

"That won’t do, you’re the winner. I must give you some sort of reward," Su Yumei said, reaching out to cup Chen Wei’s right cheek.

She leaned in and kissed his left cheek.

"You little rascal, do you have to be so excited? Go easy, you’re hurting me," Su Yumei said gently as she pinched her cheek.

"How can I not be excited? This is a kiss from the number one goddess of River City. If this gets out, knowing your crazy suitors, they’d skin me alive," Chen Wei joked.

"That’s true, but are you sure they would skin you alive, and not the other way around?" Su Yumei asked again.

"Now that you mention it, you’re right. All of them together might not be able to beat me," Chen Wei said confidently.

"Be a bit more confident and drop the ’might not,’" Su Yumei continued to lie down on the couch, resting her head on her arms, enjoying Chen Wei’s massage, as well as the salty sea breeze blowing softly.

...

"By the way, where are we going after this?" Su Yumei saw that it was getting dark, but the yacht showed no sign of returning to the dock, wondering if they would have to spend the night on the yacht.

"I heard from the yacht owner that there’s a small tourist island nearby. We will stay there tonight and head back tomorrow," Chen Wei explained the plan for what comes next.

"Sounds good, I’m quite free these days, not much work," Su Yumei sat up, stretched her shoulders, and felt much more comfortable.

"So, are you hinting that you want to stay on the island for a few more days with me?" Chen Wei teased.

"That’s what you said, I never mentioned it, but if you really want me to accompany you, I don’t mind," Su Yumei replied.

She perfectly embodied the phrase "saying one thing and meaning another."
