Chapter 327: Chapter 327: It’s Necessary to Prove It

After a satisfying meal, the immensely important issue of the future son-in-law that Li Bianyuan treated as greater than heaven itself was resolved early and perfectly.

To his surprise, the hand injury that had accumulated over decades was also healed...

Chen Huali knew Chen Wei and Li Feier had originally planned to go out for a meal alone today, a date, but it was he and Li Bianyuan who had taken up their time, delaying the young couple’s plans.

Therefore, right after doing the dishes, she promptly suggested they leave to not disturb Chen Wei and Li Feier’s world for two.

This time, Li Bianyuan very considerately agreed, not staying a second longer than necessary, unlike before when he seemed eager to stay even a mere moment longer.

After sending off Li Bianyuan and Chen Huali, only Chen Wei and Li Feier remained in the hotel room.

"Thank you for helping me put on a perfect act," Li Feier said with her hands behind her back, leaning against the wall, bowing her head, and drawing circles on the floor with the tip of her foot.

"Act? What act? How much are you going to pay me for this performance?" Chen Wei asked with slightly furrowed brows, feigning puzzlement, "I’m someone who knows a bit about everything, but I’ve never dabbled in acting."

"You know exactly what I mean," Li Feier pouted, well aware that Chen Wei was playing dumb.

Chen Wei, upon hearing this, didn’t rush to reply. Instead, he took a step closer, loomed before Li Feier, and suddenly stretched out his hands, gripping her waist.

Initially, Li Feier did not resist or show any aversion, but when Chen Wei suddenly exerted force with his hands, effortlessly lifting her off the ground and pulling her close into his embrace-

"Ah!" Li Feier was startled, not expecting Chen Wei to do such a thing, instinctively wrapping her legs around him, placing her hands on his head, and nervously asking, "What, what are you doing!"

"I feel it’s necessary for me to prove whether I’m really acting or not. Where’s your room?" Chen Wei asked Li Feier.

Without responding verbally, Li Feier silently lifted her hand to point at a firmly closed room door.

Following that, Chen Wei carried Li Feier over, took big strides to the door, opened it, and casually shut it behind them.

Reaching the bedside, he bent down and placed Li Feier on the bed.

As their eyes met, Li Feier slowly closed hers, slightly pouting her lips.

Chen Wei obligingly leaned in...

Time swiftly moved to the hottest part of the day.

Seeing Li Feier half-sitting against a pillow, her arm over her eyes, lips slightly parted, breathing heavily, with round beads of sweat sliding down her face, then trailing down her graceful neck, continuing their journey downward...

The blanket provided just enough cover, suggestively revealing without showing too much, igniting the imagination.

Chen Wei, seizing the moment, reached for the air conditioning remote on the nightstand and turned on the AC.

As the air conditioner started up, blowing cool air, the room’s temperature significantly decreased after three to four minutes.

Li Feier had also rested and had mostly recovered.

She lowered her arm, turned her head to the side without a word, and just stared at Chen Wei.

"Is something wrong?" Chen Wei asked.

Li Feier shook her head, "I’m just curious, are all you men so freakishly strong?"

What was terrifying was that she felt Chen Wei still had energy to spare, at ease, and plainly being considerate of her body.

While she was gasping for air, he could leisurely browse through news on his phone without even a hint of breathlessness being audible.

"I think I should be an exception. How else could they say, ’Oxen may die, but the fields endure’?"

"I suppose so," Li Feier nodded in agreement and said, "At this rate, I believe I’ll probably slim down in no time. This is far more effective than sweating out from a run."

"Then you should eat more, don’t hold back. I’ll help you lose weight every day."

"Stop!" Li Feier put up her hand to prevent him from continuing, "I value my life."

Chen Wei gave a faint smile but said nothing.

"Do you still suspect I’m putting on an act with you?"

"I don’t suspect it, absolutely not." Li Feier was in fear that if she expressed any doubts, Chen Wei would pounce on her again and devour her fiercely one more time.

For her own safety, Li Feier dared not be stubborn, her legs were still weak.

Just then, Chen Wei’s cellphone rang, a call from Su Yumei.

Chen Wei answered the call, "Hello, Shijie, what’s up?"

"Okay, I got it."

After a brief chat, Chen Wei learned that Su Yumei had just finished with her work and was asking if he wanted to have lunch together.

"My Shijie invited me for lunch, would you like to join?" Chen Wei asked Li Feier.

"I’d rather not, I’m really tired right now and I want to sleep." Besides, Li Feier had just eaten not long ago and wasn’t hungry at all.

Even if she really wanted to go, her legs probably wouldn’t carry her very far.

"If you want to eat something, just call me anytime, and I’ll bring it for you," Chen Wei said as he pulled back the blanket, got out of bed, and began to dress.

"Mhm," Li Feier responded.

Once Chen Wei was dressed, he came to Li Feier’s side, leaned down, and planted a kiss on her forehead, "Rest well."

"Mhm, go ahead," Li Feier laid down and with both hands clutched the edge of the blanket, half-covering her face, she nodded lightly in agreement.

Not long after Chen Wei closed the door behind him, Li Feier drifted into sleep, utterly exhausted.

She felt played out, in need of time to recover.

Upon leaving the room, Chen Wei did not immediately enter the elevator.

He felt a gaze spying on him from the shadows.

Turning his head, the person immediately hid back behind the wall.

"What’s with the flies again." Chen Wei’s expression turned helpless. He could have ignored it, but with Li Feier’s room right behind him, he had to eliminate all potential dangers.

Pulling out his phone, he texted Su Yumei: Shijie, something came up last minute, I might be a bit late.

After sending the message, he quickened his pace, trying to catch up while the stranger’s presence was still lingered.

Once the person realized they were being followed, they too quickly escaped into the emergency passageway, sprinting down the stairs!

Their speed was fast, and by the time Chen Wei chased them out of the hotel, the guy had already opened the car door and sat in an SUV.

Seeing this, Chen Wei took out his car keys at once, got into his sports car, started the engine, and, with a cool 180-degree turn on the spot accompanied by a roaring sound, he began to chase after the SUV that had set off just one step ahead.

Today, no matter what, he couldn’t let that person get away!

On the SUV, the man glanced at his rear-view mirror and smiled, "Hmph, that’s right, follow me, onto the dead end I’ve meticulously prepared for you!"

He took off his sunglasses, mask, and hat, revealing his entire face.

It was none other than Ren Tianlang, one of the White Tiger War God’s Four Great War Generals, who had a family of three slaughtered by Chen Wei before.

Bai Junshan had brought him along earlier to cause trouble for Chen Wei, only to be knocked out with a flick of the finger.

Now, he had returned for revenge on behalf of the Bai Family and Bai Shouhen.

Whatever it took, Chen Wei had to die!
