Chapter 150: Chapter 150: High-Tech! The Fourth Update

As the owner, Wang Haotian had spoken, and what could the dealer, merely an employee, do? With no other choice, she had to do exactly as instructed and opened her palm.

Instantly, it elicited a wave of astonishment.

"My God! The kid actually bet right!"

"Doesn’t that mean he just made a million, and now another one! A total of two million? "

"Damn, that’s two million in such a short time, worth what many people earn in a lifetime."

"I wonder if this young brother takes apprentices?"

...

Compared to the spectators, Wang Haotian was not the least bit surprised by this outcome; after all, he’d known the result would be heads all along. What he didn’t anticipate was that Chen Wei would preempt him by choosing heads.

What could he do? Saying too much or doing too much would only make others suspect he was up to some trickery, intending to undermine fairness.

If word of this got out, how could he keep running his casino?

A casino operator without credibility, caught in the act of cheating—who would dare come? Unless they had a screw loose.

Seeing that even Wang Haotian couldn’t handle Chen Wei, Tang Chengliang was filled with nothing but shock and surprise, he had not expected him to be so formidable.

Who in this area didn’t know Wang Haotian was the disciple of the King of Gambling, with a record of winning nine out of ten bets, a veritable legend of invincibility in the gambling world!

Tang Chengliang had been following Wang Haotian for over three years and had never seen him lose to anyone.

His eyes turned to Chen Wei, and he couldn’t help but wonder, what on earth was the background of this kid?

On the other hand, after ordering someone to give Chen Wei another million in chips, Wang Haotian prepared to start the next gambling round with Chen Wei.

This time he decided to learn from the last lesson; he must shout out which side he chooses before Chen Wei does!

To put it nicely, these were cheating techniques, but to be frank, they were just underhanded tactics unfit for public display.

And because it was on his own turf, Wang Haotian could achieve nine wins out of ten bets.

He was aware that many of the cheating techniques he knew would be impossible to pull off without his own people’s cooperation on his turf.

Like dealing with a sly person like Chen Wei, who doesn’t play by the rules.

"Hey! Wait a minute!" Chen Wei suddenly raised his hand, stopping the dealer ready to toss the chip.

"What now?" Wang Haotian acted very agitated, almost wishing he could chop Chen Wei on the spot—if it weren’t for the audience present.

"For the sake of fairness, the last toss was made by your person. Shouldn’t it be our turn this time?"

Without waiting for Wang Haotian to nod, Chen Wei already looked up at Diana, "Could I bother you?"

"Of course." Diana agreed cheerfully.

"Give it to me." He then approached the dealer and raised his hand.

"This..." The dealer looked troubled, instinctively glancing at Wang Haotian, preferring to pass the decision to him to avoid future blame.

Bang!

"Why are you looking at me? Just give it to her!" Wang Haotian slapped the table furiously, feeling the woman was wholly unprofessional. By turning to him, wasn’t she just proving he had something to hide?

The dealer hid her hand behind her back, swiftly swapped for an untampered chip, and placed it in Diana’s hand.

There was no choice! They could only rely on luck and careful observation.

Wang Haotian watched Diana’s hand without blinking. After so many years running Paradise Casino, he had some savings, but he couldn’t afford to keep losing like this—a hundred thousand at a time. One more loss, and he’d be down by three million!

Who can stand against that? Wang Haotian wasn’t a billionaire after all.

"Hey!" Diana put some strength into her thumb, flicking the Chips into the air, then quickly covered them with her hand on the back of her hand.

"I choose tails..."

"Hey! Wait a minute!" Wang Haotian interrupted in time to prevent Chen Wei from finishing his sentence.

"Is there a problem?" Chen Wei asked.

"Every time you choose first, isn’t that a bit unfair? Since it’s your turn now, shouldn’t it also be my turn to choose first?" Wang Haotian said.

"Sure, no problem." Chen Wei said indifferently, making a welcoming gesture.

"I choose tails." Wang Haotian vaguely heard Chen Wei wanted to choose tails, so it must be tails!

The Chips were spinning too fast in the air, and with the colorful patterns and the lighting, Wang Haotian couldn’t see anything clearly, so he could only think of this method.

"Alright then, I choose heads."

After making his choice, Diana removed her hand.

"What! Heads! You!" When he saw the side of the Chips clearly, Wang Haotian was almost so mad he could spit blood.

"Heh, looks like I really am lucky, or maybe, you must be my God of Wealth, if you hadn’t rushed to say tails, I might have just lost a million."

To others, there was nothing wrong with Chen Wei’s words, but Wang Haotian sensed something fishy and suddenly realized, pointing at Chen Wei, "You fucker set a trap for me!"

"Just making reasonable use of the rules, gambling relies not only on luck but also on this." Chen Wei raised his hand and tapped his head, "Besides, it was you who wanted to choose first, wasn’t it?"

"You!" Wang Haotian was so angry his chest heaved violently, never before had anyone made him feel so choked up.

"Three million, I’ll bet three million with you on the next game! Do you dare?" Wang Haotian decided to wager all of his assets and have one final bet with Chen Wei, a game to decide it all.

"Sure, no problem." Chen Wei replied indifferently.

"However, we need to change the way we bet this time, let’s roll dice! No more guessing heads or tails, since you like it simple, let’s bet on who can roll the higher total on three dice!" Wang Haotian glanced at the croupier.

The croupier nodded slightly, bizarrely bypassing the nearby dice cups to fetch one from farther away.

If Chen Wei couldn’t see there was a problem with that, then he must be out of his mind.

"Please," Wang Haotian said, raising his hand.

"Why are the two dice cups different colors, could it be you’ve rigged your dice cup?" Chen Wei deliberately provoked Wang Haotian.

As expected, upon hearing this, Wang Haotian showed signs of panic and forced himself to calm down before saying, "Don’t slander me. I like red, is it wrong to want some good luck?"

In fact, the dice cup had been specially ordered from abroad, a high-end product designed to work with special dice that, using magnetic fields, could easily yield any number he wished.

It had just arrived, and if not for this special situation, Wang Haotian had planned to wait until he had tested it more thoroughly before using it.

But under the current circumstances, he had no room for further choice.

"Oh, I see. Here I thought it was some high-tech gadget that would let you easily roll three sixes," Chen Wei said, seemingly offhandedly.

This kid couldn’t possibly have noticed something, could he?

Wang Haotian pursed his lips tightly, feeling a wave of panic inside.

It seems rolling three sixes directly would be too conspicuous, better to roll two sixes and a five.

I’m using the latest high-tech, let’s see how you can compete with me!
