Chapter 301: Chapter 301: Die Yourself, Don’t Drag Me Along

A violent burst of inner Qi erupted from Lu Xiao’s hands.

The energy blade formed by the inner Qi whistled past.

Boom!

In an instant, the ground between Lu Xiao and Sacco churned and exploded.

When the dust and stones settled, a horrifying, two-meter-wide trench lay between Lu Xiao and Sacco.

The trench stretched from Lu Xiao’s feet to the tips of Sacco’s toes.

Sacco’s eyeballs bulged as he trembled, almost unable to stand.

Just moments ago, he felt as though death had been right in front of him.

That enormous and terrifying force seemed capable of tearing everything apart.

"Lu Xiao, your control over energy is truly impressive," Chen Fei said, unable to hold back her admiration as she looked at the trench dug into the ground.

Being able to control the energy so precisely, stopping just short of the opponent’s feet, was something she couldn’t do.

"Of course," Lu Xiao nodded. Although he couldn’t compare to a Fourth-stage leader, when it came to controlling energy, Lu Xiao wasn’t willing to yield to anyone.

Locking Eight Gates was a method of controlling energy, and he had mastered it to perfection long ago.

"You... you’re a Mutant too?" Sacco suddenly spoke.

Lu Xiao was slightly startled. Sacco knew about Mutants?

If he knew, then he must have had contact with a Mutant Organization, otherwise, he wouldn’t know the term.

But Sacco seemed very raw and untrained. Not to mention sophisticated combat techniques, he was even lacking in basic superpower condensation.

"Which Mutant Organization did you join?" Lu Xiao countered.

"The mighty Holy Light Hall!"

Holy Light Hall?

That made even less sense.

The Holy Light Hall and the Civilization Book Club were the two largest open Mutant Organizations. They provided basic training for wild Mutants joining them.

"When did you join?"

"This morning!"

Lu Xiao curled his lips, as expected.

"So now, can you take your people and leave my house?" Lu Xiao waved his hand.

He had never intended to kill Sacco from the start.

After all, this was Meili Country. Killing someone would likely leave a trail.

If the Superpower Alliance found out, he would probably attract some unnecessary trouble.

Sacco lowered his head in silence for a few seconds, then glanced at the time; then, a smile crept back across Sacco’s face.

"Lu Xiao, I admit, you are very strong," Sacco said.

"In front of you, I don’t even have the qualifications to fight back."

"But now... it’s five o’clock in the afternoon."

Lu Xiao: ???

What, you become stronger at five o’clock?

"The elders from the Holy Light Hall are coming," Sacco added another line.

Lu Xiao realized, so that was it; no wonder you were scared half to death just now but now seem confident again.

No sooner had Sacco finished speaking than several figures approached from a distance.

"Is Sacco here?" a slightly authoritative voice called out, "We are from the Holy Light Hall, here to bring you in for reporting."

Sacco immediately raised his arms, "Elders, I’m Sacco! Save me, someone wants to harm me!"

The several Holy Light Hall Mutants paused; although Sacco had just reached First-level, normally, he wouldn’t be easy to harm.

Could it be that gang from the Civilization Book Club trying to steal a person?

But a wild first-level Mutant hardly seemed worth stealing.

"Who are you? Sacco has joined our Holy Light Hall. Please leave immediately," said the Holy Light Hall Mutants who had arrived, led by a Second-Order Mutant.

This Second-Order Mutant then began issuing a warning to Lu Xiao.

"This is my manor, which these people have occupied by force. Does the Holy Light Hall have no sense of justice?" Lu Xiao turned around discontentedly.

Joyce was originally about to scold Lu Xiao, "The Holy Light Hall is not something you can fabricate stories about?"

However, when he clearly saw Lu Xiao’s face, Joyce’s body began to tremble.

Especially when Chen Fei also turned around, Joyce felt as if his legs no longer belonged to him.

If it were just Lu Xiao, he might have been frightened into silence.

But with Chen Fei added to the mix, I feel like I might wet myself.

Chen Fei was a Fourth-Order Metal Control Mutant. To hear those from the Third-tier in the Holy Light Hall speak, a Fourth-stage Metal Control Mutant was basically a synonym for legend and invincibility.

The other two Mutants from the Holy Light Hall behind Joyce were in a similar state, their legs shaking uncontrollably.

"Elder, this scoundrel dares to say that the great Holy Light Hall is unreasonable. I think we should teach him a lesson!" Sacco said to Joyce.

Joyce snapped back to his senses and glared at Sacco with eyes full of fury.

Teach Lu Xiao a lesson?

If you want to die, don’t drag me into it.
