Chapter 486: Chapter 433: Glimpse into the Celestial Secret_3

"Bodhisattva, you are too kind," Wang Yang said, nodding his head towards the White Robed Ksitigarbha.

The White Robed Ksitigarbha smiled and turned to lead the way for Wang Yang.

The two arrived at a thatched cottage by the Blood River, tethered to the side of the river, which was the very place where Ksitigarbha Pusa and the practitioners of the Underworld cultivated.

Such a humble abode made Wang Yang feel somewhat unimaginable, especially with the Blood Sea churning around it and the smell of blood so strong that one didn’t even need to sniff to have it invade one’s nostrils.

One could say that in the Underworld’s Blood River, aside from Ancestor River Styx and the Asura clans, only Ksitigarbha Pusa was willing to cultivate in such harsh conditions.

"To invite Daoist Wang Yang here was a bit presumptuous of me," Ksitigarbha voiced.

The White Robed Ksitigarbha slowly vanished, and the true Ksitigarbha Pusa emerged from the cottage.

Different from the illusory body, Ksitigarbha Pusa was draped in the Seven Treasures Kasaya, with a Vairocana Hat on his head, from which two ribbons floated down, making him look not so much like a Bodhisattva, but more like a living Buddha.

Moreover, Wang Yang knew that this seemingly insignificant presence not seen in Mount Meru had the solid strength of a Quasi-Saint; as for whether he had performed Corpse Severing, Wang Yang was not quite sure.

"Bodhisattva, you are too kind."

Wang Yang was very polite, and of course, it was a matter of strength that dictated his manners.

If the Ksitigarbha before him were only at the Golden Immortal level, Wang Yang naturally wouldn’t bother with Ksitigarbha King.

"Fellow Daoist, please come in!"

Ksitigarbha, with a smile on his face, invited Wang Yang to enter.

As Wang Yang stepped inside, he found only two meditation cushions in the room, and the rest was utterly empty. It was hard to imagine that Ksitigarbha Pusa lived in such an environment.

"Fellow Daoist, please," Ksitigarbha Pusa said, taking a seat on one of the meditation cushions.

Wang Yang paused, then smiled and without ceremony, took a seat on the other.

"Fellow Daoist, the Three Realms are about to descend into chaos, and you have been close to Spirit Treasure Venerable. I can’t help but wonder, how do you plan to act when the Three Realms start their cleansing?" Ksitigarbha Pusa asked first.

Wang Yang was somewhat surprised, for it was said that Ksitigarbha Pusa cared not for worldly affairs, focusing only on the salvation of the wronged spirits in the Blood River.

But upon meeting him today, Wang Yang’s intuition did not match the rumors.

"It is indeed rather presumptuous of Ksitigarbha. I have Mythical Beast Listening by my side, which listens to the affairs of the Three Realms. Although I don’t leave the Underworld and reside in this humble cottage, I am still informed of the happenings of the Three Realms," Ksitigarbha Pusa acknowledged, seeing Wang Yang deep in thought.

"No wonder, but as a believer in Buddhism, you hold compassion at heart."

"Now residing in the Underworld to salvage the wronged spirits and accumulate merit, the chaos of the Three Realms should not affect the Underworld."

"By asking me such a question, could it be that Bodhisattva intends to leave the Underworld and participate in the fray?"

Instead of answering Ksitigarbha’s question, Wang Yang countered with his own.

"Not so," Ksitigarbha shook his head: "This humble monk will not leave the Underworld in this life."

Wang Yang believed him.

"Making a vast vow brings great merit, but not acting upon it can also provoke envy from the heavens."

"Even Saints do not wish to entangle themselves with the karma of Golden Immortals, let alone with that of Heavenly Dao."

"Bodhisattva must have more than this in mind for inviting me here, right?"

Wang Yang stared at Ksitigarbha King, eager to know what Ksitigarbha King was truly thinking.

"Fellow Daoist is overthinking it. This humble monk knows that you aspire to become a chess player, but the Heavenly Dao is fifty, with one escaping, that’s a tale from the time of Primordial Continent."

"Nowadays, the Heavenly Dao is severely damaged and fearful of some powers. You should know, even becoming a chess player puts tremendous pressure on one in this world," Ksitigarbha Pusa explained slowly: "Today, calling Fellow Daoist here for a discussion, perhaps you also understand that you are a variable in this world. Such a variable’s fortune or misfortune is unknown, thus this humble monk will not comment."

"As for what I asked earlier about your future whereabouts, it was merely an attempt to speculate on the celestial Secret!"
