Chapter 398: Chapter 390: Fortunately, Old Sun Made Some Preparations_2

As long as the monster arrived, he wasn’t afraid that the demon could escape from the palm of his hand.

After the chilly wind passed, suddenly there came the scent of orchids and the jingling of sash ornaments.

Sun Wukong quickly turned around and sneakily took a glance, only to see a stunningly beautiful, delicate little beauty, sashaying in with her slender waist, none other than the White-Furred Mouse Spirit.

Sun Wukong quickly turned back, pretending not to have seen anything, and continued silently reciting scriptures.

The evil spirit lightly stepped forward, entered the hall, and suddenly embraced Sun Wukong from behind, giggling, "Little Elder, what scriptures are you reciting so late into the night?"

Sun Wukong replied softly, "This disciple before Buddha has vowed to finish, no matter how late it gets."

The evil spirit stretched out a hand to turn Sun Wukong around and, upon seeing his face clearly, said with a smile, "What a handsome little monk!"

Sun Wukong hastily said, "This is a holy place of Buddhism, Lady Benefactor. It’s not proper for you to stay long, please leave quickly."

The evil spirit chuckled, hugged Sun Wukong, and gently kissed him on the mouth, laughing as she said, "How about we go to the back and have some fun?"

Sun Wukong quickly turned his head away, somewhat impatiently saying, "You, Lady Benefactor, really don’t understand, I’ve already told you, this is a holy place of Buddhism. How can a disciple commit acts that insult Buddhism? I can tell from your appearance that you are no good person; you better leave at once!"

Upon hearing this, the demon couldn’t help but feel a burst of annoyance but managed to keep her temper and asked, "You can read faces?"

"I know a thing or two!" Sun Wukong casually replied.

"Then read my face for me!" the Female Demon said with a charming smile.

Sun Wukong hesitated then finally said, "Looking at your face, you seem to be someone who was chased away by your in-laws for stealing a man!"

Upon hearing this, a flash of anger crossed the Female Demon’s face, but it quickly vanished without a trace, replaced by a smile as she said, "I wasn’t chased away by my in-laws; I ran away on my own."

"Why did you run away?" Sun Wukong asked with curiosity.

The Female Demon said, "It’s because I was ill-fated in my past life and in this life married a young man who knew nothing of conjugal affairs. I couldn’t bear the loneliness, so I ran away."

"It’s fate that brings people together across thousands of miles. To meet little master like you here today is truly a fortunate event across three lifetimes. Let’s take advantage of this wonderful scene, and you, little master, come with me to enjoy ourselves in the back garden!"

Having heard the words of the Mouse Spirit, Sun Wukong couldn’t help but curse internally at her shamelessness. Clearly, those monks must have been seduced by this monster and thus lost their lives. Now, this foolhardy evil spirit even dared to attempt to seduce Sun Wukong!

However, although this is what Sun Wukong thought internally, he did not show it outwardly and stammered, "I am a person of the cloth and still very young, truly ignorant of matters concerning men and women."

The Mouse Spirit, upon hearing Sun Wukong’s words, said with a beaming smile, "You come with me, I’ll teach you!"

After saying this, she stood up and started to pull on Sun Wukong.

Upon hearing the Mouse Spirit’s words, Sun Wukong also nodded, deciding to go along with her plan and look for an opportunity to strike a fatal blow.

With that thought, Sun Wukong let himself be half-pushed, half-pulled by the Mouse Spirit into the back garden.

The Mouse Spirit, hugging Sun Wukong, led him to a patch of grass where she suddenly stretched out a foot and tripped Sun Wukong, sending him tumbling to the ground.

Sun Wukong pretended to be unprepared, letting the Mouse Spirit trip him.

At that moment, the Mouse Spirit cried out, "My darling brother!"

She crouched down and reached out a delicate hand, stealthily extending razor-sharp claws.

Sun Wukong instantly sensed the lethal aura, noting to himself that this evil spirit indeed knew how to attack.

With quick eyes and hands, Sun Wukong grabbed the Mouse Spirit’s arm, using a falling and hitting technique, he flipped her over to the ground in an instant.

The Mouse Spirit laughed and said, "Darling brother, are you trying to kill me with that fall!"

Sun Wukong truly did not want to continue entangling with this Mouse Spirit any longer. Now that she was off her guard, if he could strike now, it would be a case of the early bird catching the worm.

With that in mind, Sun Wukong did a carp flip to jump up from the ground and then drew the Jingu Bang, swinging it high, and smashed it down towards the Mouse Spirit’s head.

This Demon had some tricks up its sleeve and seemed to have been prepared, for it suddenly had two treasured swords in its hands. Raising both swords, it managed to block Sun Wukong’s Jingu Bang.

Sun Wukong sneered and said, "What shameless evil spirits you are! Do you see who I, Old Sun, am? You haven’t settled the score with me for capturing my master, and I haven’t even started with you yet!"

"I didn’t expect you, vile creature, to come here and harm people again. Today, I certainly will not spare your life! Taste another blow from my Jingu Bang."

With that, Sun Wukong swung the Jingu Bang again with force.

"What a fierce Macaque! Today, you’ll learn of this lady’s might!"

However, the White-Furred Mouse Spirit was not the least bit fearful, cursing as she brandished her twin swords to meet the attack.

The two immediately engaged in fierce combat, exchanging blows for over a dozen rounds. Sun Wukong was formidable, and the White-Furred Mouse Spirit was no match for him. After more than a dozen rounds, she was already at a disadvantage.

This Demon now realized the might of Sun Wukong and knew that it could not come out on top if the battle continued. There was a chance that it could get smashed by Sun Wukong’s cudgel in a moment of carelessness, and then it would certainly lose its life.

With these thoughts, the Female Demon didn’t dare continue the fight and resorted to the Earth Traveling Technique, burrowing into the ground and disappearing in an instant.

The Female Demon, taking advantage of the situation, left behind an embroidered shoe, which took on her appearance and with swords in hand confronted Sun Wukong.

Instantly, the Female Demon appeared in the meditation room where Xuanzang was, only to see Xuanzang lying sound asleep on the bed.

Mice are nocturnal creatures, and though the room was pitch-black, it made no difference to the evil spirits.

Aside from Xuanzang, the Demons also noticed that Zhu Bajie and Sand Monk were hiding in the shadows, not far from Xuanzang.

But both of them were sitting cross-legged on the ground, eyes closed, as if they were resting or sleeping.

Zhu Bajie and Sand Monk were only of moderate ability; this Demon paid them no heed, fearing only Sun Wukong.

Now that her decoy had detained Sun Wukong, only these two were present here.

She had waited so long for the opportunity to deal with Xuanzang.

She knew that her decoy wouldn’t be able to hold Sun Wukong off for long.

If she wanted to act against Xuanzang, now was the time. Without delay, even though it was as risky as snatching food from a tiger’s mouth, the White-Furred Mouse Spirit was determined to take Xuanzang away.

Once the Demon made up its mind, it hastily set to work with its spells.

Suddenly, a hole appeared in the earth of the bed on which Xuanzang was sleeping, and in an instant, the sleeping Xuanzang fell into it.

As it turned out, the bed Xuanzang slept on was an earthen kang constructed from clay and straw. Being skilled in the Earth Traveling Technique, the evil spirit cast another spell and abducted Xuanzang into the hole.

It was only then that Zhu Bajie and Sand Monk realized what had happened, but it was already too late. The Female Demon had long since fled with Xuanzang through the ground to an unknown destination.

Zhu Bajie and Sand Monk started to make noise. However, when they went to check on Xuanzang, they found that he was already gone, and for a moment, they were both somewhat at a loss.

Just then, Sun Wukong also rushed in from outside, holding an embroidered shoe in his hand.

Hearing Zhu Bajie and Sand Monk shouting that the master was missing, Sun Wukong immediately flew into a rage, slammed the embroidered shoe onto the ground, and, raising his cudgel, roared, "You two idiots! I told you to keep a close watch on the master, but you didn’t listen. See if I don’t beat you to death."

Seeing this, Zhu Bajie screamed in terror, quickly hiding behind Sand Monk and shouting, "Brother Monkey, spare my life!"

At that moment, Sand Monk also quickly knelt on the ground and said, "Big brother, please calm down. There was nothing we could do; that Demon moved too quickly."

Then Sand Monk hurriedly added, "Big brother, even if you kill us now, it won’t help the situation. Instead, spare our lives so we can make amends for our failure. Although our abilities are only average, as the saying goes, ’three cobblers with their wits combined equal Zhuge Liang!’ We can still be of some use."

Hearing this, Sun Wukong finally calmed down a bit, snorted coldly, and put away the Jingu Bang.

"Luckily, I, Old Sun, anticipated this possibility and had already made some preparations!"

At Sun Wukong’s words, Zhu Bajie and Sand Monk couldn’t help but show excited expressions.
