Journey to the West: Starting from Changing Sun Wukong’s fate
Chapter 342 - 343 Laid Out a Trick on Guanyin Bodhisattva

Chapter 342: Chapter 343 Laid Out a Trick on Guanyin Bodhisattva

Sun Wukong watched Zhu Bajie luring Sai Taisui, who was entranced by the temptation.

However, Sun Wukong only saw a fat pig twisting its body, almost making Sun Wukong vomit.

By this time, Zhu Bajie had already taken off the outermost piece of clothing, revealing a pair of jade-like lotus roots arms and a pair of fragrant shoulders.

Zhu Bajie slowly lifted the removed clothes and shook it in front of Sai Taisui.

Sai Taisui sniffed and chuckled, "Smells good, really good! But I can still faintly smell a fox’s scent."

Zhu Bajie was so angry that he almost passed out, lightly tossed the clothes in his hand, then gently blew out a breath and shouted ’transform.’ The clothes instantly turned into a large piece of black cloth, covering Sai Taisui’s head.

Afterward, Zhu Bajie waved his hands, and the Nine-toothed Rake appeared in his hands instantly. Zhu Bajie shouted fiercely, "You shameless rude monster! Take this blow from Old Pig!"

As he spoke, he lifted the Nine-toothed Rake and smashed it down on Sai Taisui’s head.

Sai Taisui suddenly had his head covered with black cloth, and it was then that he realized what was happening, and quickly pulled the cloth off.

However, at that moment, the Six-Eared Macaque had already swung his club, causing Sai Taisui’s complexion to change dramatically, nearly instinctively dodging to the side.

With a ’bang,’ Zhu Bajie’s rake struck Sai Taisui’s shoulder.

This blow was delivered furiously and mercilessly, with immense power.

Sai Taisui’s left shoulder was instantly shattered, sinking his entire rear into the stone bed below.

Fortunately, he avoided a vital area. Had the rake struck his head, he wouldn’t have survived, and Sai Taisui screamed in pain.

Seeing Zhu Bajie raising the rake again, a terrified Sai Taisui shouted quickly, "You cannot kill me! I am a follower of Guanyin Bodhisattva." At this time, Sun Wukong also reverted to his original form and with a gesture, blocked the falling rake with his Jingu Bang.

"Blockhead, wait a moment!"

Sun Wukong said aloud.

Zhu Bajie, looking puzzled, asked, "Brother Monkey, why are you stopping me? Such a vile creature, why spare him?"

Sai Taisui, enduring severe pain, shouted loudly, "You cannot kill me, I am a follower of Guanyin Bodhisattva."

Sun Wukong, holding the Jingu Bang which rested against Sai Taisui’s furry chest, sneered and said, "So what if you are a follower of Guanyin? You don’t think that just because you’re her follower, we’ll let you go, do you?"

"I dare not! I dare not!" Sai Taisui hurriedly said, waving his hands; indeed, he was too injured now to play any tricks.

Zhu Bajie frowned and asked, "Brother, are you thinking of letting him go?"

"I was merely arranged here by Guanyin Bodhisattva as a trial for you, I never thought of really killing you," Sai Taisui said hastily.

"These Immortals and Buddhas are truly detestable, always sending someone to obstruct our path!"

Zhu Bajie bitterly complained.

Regarding the celestials, Zhu Bajie had no good feelings left.

As for this monster being a follower of Guanyin Bodhisattva, there was nothing surprising; on the Journey to the West, there were many arranged by the Immortals and Buddhas.

"Thank you both for sparing my life; this matter really has nothing to do with me!"

Sai Taisui hurriedly said.

"Although you didn’t intend to kill us, unfortunately, we won’t let you off just because of these few words,"

Sun Wukong plucked a strand of hair and with a blow, transformed it into a rope.

"Blockhead, tie up this vile creature!"

This rope, being one of Sun Wukong’s transformations, would probably be difficult to escape from even for Quasi-Saint level beings, not to mention Sai Taisui.

After all, this vile creature didn’t have as many escape skills as Sun Wukong.

Zhu Bajie took the rope and, while binding Sai Taisui, said, "Brother Monkey, what do you intend to do with this vile creature?"

"After all, as the saying goes, you have to consider the master even when beating a dog!"

Zhu Bajie frowned slightly, worried that Sun Wukong might stir up other troubles. Although they were dissatisfied with the Immortals and Buddhas, it would still be improper to actually kill this monster.

"Naturally, we’ll take him back to our master, who I believe will be very pleased!"

Sun Wukong said, a spark of delight flashing in his eyes.

"You mean..."

Upon hearing Sun Wukong’s words, Zhu Bajie couldn’t help but express his surprise.

Currently, Sai Taisui, heavily injured and tied up like a dumpling, inevitably agitated his wounds and grimaced in pain, howling, "You can’t treat me this way, the Bodhisattva won’t let you off lightly!"

Sun Wukong showed a slight smile and said to Sai Taisui, "You demon, you descended to the lower realm on your own accord, do you think the Bodhisattva will spare you?"

Sai Taisui argued, "I was ordered to descend to relieve the King of Zhu Zi Country of disasters."

Sun Wukong, smiling, said, "Even if you were to relieve the King of Zhu Zi Country of his disasters, does the Bodhisattva also allow you to toy with palace maids?"

"If the Bodhisattva finds out, what do you think she will do to you? I hear that Manjushri Bodhisattva had a mount, a Green Fur Lion, which was punished by Manjushri for not letting go of its mortal desires."

Upon hearing this, Sai Taisui shivered and pleaded urgently, "Great Saint, spare my life, Great Saint, I beg you, spare this little demon! I swear I won’t dare to do it again."

"We’ll see how you behave," Sun Wukong sneered and asked, "Now, tell me, who is this person who informed you?"

Sai Taisui hurriedly replied, "I don’t know what background this fellow has, or who he really is. Yesterday, he suddenly ran off to inform me; it was also his idea to counter your plans, I really have nothing to do with this."

"What does he look like?" Sun Wukong asked, frowning.

This fellow seemed not to be from Buddhism, otherwise, there would have been no need to keep such secrets from Sai Taisui, a fellow disciple.

However, it was also possible that due to Sai Taisui’s lack of strength, he couldn’t meet any powerful Buddhas, which wasn’t entirely impossible.

Just as Sun Wukong was thinking this, he heard voices from outside.

Clearly, Sand Monk had heard the commotion and had come directly to help.

The noise had already startled the little demons outside; seeing their Great King defeated and captured, they dared not come to save him, and began packing their things, planning to escape in the chaos.

Encountering them, Sand Monk thrashed them about, and these little demons stood no chance against him, each becoming a soul under his staff.

"Great Senior Brother, how is Second Senior Brother?"

Sand Monk rushed in at this moment.

Seeing that Sai Taisui had already been subdued by Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie, he couldn’t help but show a look of delight.

"Let me, Old Sand, kill this demon!"

Sand Monk moved to strike the demon dead.

Sun Wukong raised his hand to stop him, saying, "Wait, this evil beast is Guanyin Bodhisattva’s mount, let’s take him back to the imperial palace first!"

"Oh, it belongs to Guanyin Bodhisattva? I doubt Guanyin Bodhisattva will let us take it back so easily!"

Sand Monk oh’d in realization; since the demon had already been defeated, he guessed Guanyin Bodhisattva already knew and was on her way.

"Bajie, take this demon back first. Junior Brother Sand and I will escort the Golden Holy Palace back!"

Hearing Sand Monk’s words, Sun Wukong nodded in agreement.

"Okay!"

Zhu Bajie, upon hearing Sun Wukong’s words, nodded as well.

He grabbed Sai Taisui and set off to return.

"Wait!"

Sun Wukong opened his mouth and blew!

In that instant, Sai Taisui, who had just looked so delicate and lovely, turned into a palace maid.

"Brother Monkey, what is this..."

Seeing this, Zhu Bajie couldn’t help but laugh in bewilderment.

"Let’s take them back first, we will return with the Golden Holy Palace and Sai Taisui together!"

Sun Wukong said smilingly.

Zhu Bajie and Sand Monk glanced at each other, understanding Sun Wukong’s intention.

Zhu Bajie was already in cahoots with Sun Wukong, and as for Sand Monk, originally being a celestial, he had issues with Buddhism. They naturally didn’t mind using such tactics against Guanyin Bodhisattva.

Zhu Bajie, taking Sai Taisui with him, immediately headed to the imperial palace.

Subsequently, Sun Wukong and Sand Monk immediately went to the residence of the Golden Holy Palace, took the Purple Gold Bell, and then escorted the Golden Holy Palace.

Sand Monk, holding Sai Taisui, led the group out of the demon cave.

Just as they walked out of the cave, indeed, a strong aura descended from the Western Direction.

They saw a cloud of auspicious clouds coming from afar, slowly descending, with Guanyin Bodhisattva sitting on a Lotus Platform atop the cloud.

The Eight-Petalled celestial Dragons cleared the path, surrounded by Buddhist chanting.

"So it is Guanyin Bodhisattva. I wonder what brings Guanyin Bodhisattva here?"

Upon seeing Guanyin Bodhisattva, Sun Wukong couldn’t help but ask with a smile.

"This poor monk has come for the demon in your hands!"

Guanyin Bodhisattva held the Jade Pure Bottle in one hand and raised the other, uttering "Amitabha Buddha."

"So this demon really is the Bodhisattva’s mount. When it claimed so earlier, Old Sun was somewhat incredulous!"

Guanyin Bodhisattva nodded and explained, "He is my mount, the Golden-Haired Lion. Due to the shepherd’s negligence and lack of vigilance, this evil beast broke the iron chains and came here, bringing disaster with the King of Zhu Zi Country."

"Hmph!" Sun Wukong snorted coldly, "Bodhisattva, it seems you misspoke! He has been deceiving the king and queen here, corrupting customs and harming traditions, and bringing disaster with that King of Zhu Zi Country would be more accurate. There’s no disaster averted here."

Guanyin Bodhisattva smiled and explained, "You don’t know the whole story. When the former king of Zhu Zi Country was still on the throne, this king was still the Crown Prince of the Eastern Palace, not yet enthroned. In his youth, he was fond of hunting."

"Leading men and beasts, he released hawks and dogs, and came to the Falling Phoenix Slope. There, the Western Buddha Mother’s two children, male and female peacock chicks born by the Peacock Great Ming King Bodhisattva, had settled. They were discovered by the prince shortly before; he drew his bow and shot the male peacock, the female also returned wounded by an arrow."

"After Buddha Mother saw this, she repented and instructed him to dismantle the phoenix for three years, afflicted with a lingering illness."

"At that time, this poor monk, along with this beast, also heard these words. Unexpectedly, this evil beast took heed and deceitfully got close to the Empress to avert disaster for the king."

"It has been three years now, the grudge is fulfilled, and luckily you and your disciples passed through Zhu Zi Country. It’s also written in your destiny to face these troubles, that’s why this has happened."

"Hmph!" Sun Wukong sternly stated, "Since the Bodhisattva protects this evil beast thus, Old Sun has nothing more to say!"

"If the Bodhisattva must take him back, make sure he does not descend to the Human World privately, causing significant harm!"

Guanyin Bodhisattva nodded and said, "Rest assured, once back, this poor monk will indeed discipline him thoroughly."
