Journey to the West: I have Nine Golden Crows Inside Me
Chapter 1097: Reincarnation Hall_2

Chapter 1097: Reincarnation Hall_2

The Demon Clan seized control of Heaven Court, occupying the moral high ground, yet still faced utter defeat. One of their gravest crimes was monopolizing the power of the stars in the Boundless Starry Sky, blockading it entirely.

This act can be said to have entangled them in karma with all beings between heaven and earth, thus the Demon Clan faced the disaster of annihilation.

With the precedent of the Demon Clan before them, if the Endless Netherworld truly were a treasure, Mother Earth would certainly not monopolize it, lest she bring about the annihilation of the Witch Clan.

From this perspective, perhaps there really are some risks within the Endless Netherworld that compelled Mother Earth to seal it hastily. Only by doing so could she avoid tying karma with all beings between heaven and earth.

In any case, there are many rumors, many of which sound plausible. To put an end to these rumors, unless Mother Earth lifts the restrictions on the Endless Netherworld, everyone will continue to speculate. Until one day, someone unable to bear it any longer, risks entering the Endless Netherworld to see for themselves.

...

......

"Human Race’s Jiang Chen, specially here to pay respects to Mother Earth!" Jiang Chen walked slowly to the front of Reincarnation Hall and bowed deeply.

After glancing at Reincarnation Hall, Jiang Chen dared not look any longer; he feared becoming engrossed and forgetting about time.

Reincarnation Hall, being the divine temple transformed from the rules of reincarnation, is mysterious beyond measure—not counting Zixiao Palace and Pangu Palace—it should be considered the premier divine temple of this realm; it’s indeed sufficient to serve as a benchmark for measuring Daluo Jinxian of the Primordial. Thus, Reincarnation Hall is filled with Dao Rhyme, possessing the most supreme Reincarnation Dao Rhyme.

Creation and destruction, time and space, flourishing and waning... all things and events, unless transcended, are within the cycle of reincarnation.

Therefore, if one were to indulge in the Way of Reincarnation, they would likely immediately forget the passage of time, and who knows, by the time they regained their senses, tens of thousands of years might have passed.

This situation is not unprecedented; in fact, it is frequent, with a likelihood of six or seven out of ten. On average, at least six out of every ten who visit Reincarnation Hall fall into contemplation from staring a bit too long and then get trapped in understanding the Dao.

And the time it takes for these individuals to awake from their Dao contemplation is at least ten thousand years, with the longest being up to nearly one million years.

If one were in the Great Ancient, time would be the least valuable commodity; Jiang Chen would of course delight in contemplating the Dao, but now is not the time. His time is limited, and wasting a couple of years is fine, but ten thousand years? Perhaps not.

"Enter!"

An authoritative voice came from inside, then the grand doors of Reincarnation Hall swung open.

"Thank you, Goddess!"

Jiang Chen did not dare hesitate further, promptly getting up and stepping into Reincarnation Hall.

Upon entering, Jiang Chen immediately felt the difference; the aura of reincarnation filled the place, manifesting supreme mysteries that moved dynamically, irresistibly drawing one into them.

Jiang Chen merely sensed it briefly and perceived the profound mysteries of creation and destruction. The embedded principles were immensely profound, making him wish he could enter a state of Dao contemplation right then to comprehend these intricate truths.

Fortunately, Jiang Chen had a firm Dao heart. He merely paused for a moment, but then stabilized his mind and forcibly suppressed the stirrings in his heart.

"This place is not for dwelling!"

Though he didn’t speak aloud, Jiang Chen was secretly on guard internally; Reincarnation Hall truly was not a place to linger.

Is Reincarnation Hall good? Of course, it is good. It is filled with Reincarnation Dao Rhyme, always able to induce enlightenment in someone. How could it not be good?

Unfortunately, too much of a good thing can become bad. In this case, particularly for cultivators of lower realms, this is indeed true.

Even with Jiang Chen’s cultivation level, upon arriving here, the Dao Rhymes tempted his mind to waver, making him want to immediately close off and immerse himself in comprehending the Great Dao.

If a cultivator with even lesser abilities than his, were to come to this place, it’s likely their spirit would be seized immediately, completely entranced by it, and they’d forget everything. One mishap and they might even be assimilated by the Great Dao.

The path of cultivation is full of tribulations; it’s not just talk. Gaining enlightenment is an opportunity in itself, but over-enlightenment can cause the spirit to die within the understanding of Dao, turning that opportunity into a calamity.

The Daoist Xuantian of the Great Ancient times, a Primordial Divine Demon birthed by Thunder Marsh, wasn’t he assimilated by Heavenly Dao because he over-enlightened?

Being assimilated by the Heavenly Dao doesn’t mean perishing; rather, it means becoming a part of the Heavenly Dao, unable to separate, thus completely losing oneself.

Daoist Xuantian didn’t perish; in fact, it could be said that he had long achieved the realm of a Daluo Jinxian of Primordial Chaos. However, he was no longer himself; he was the Heavenly Dao.

If a Punishment of Primordial Level were to descend, the endless thunder would take the form of Daoist Xuantian. This is the incarnation of the Heavenly Dao.

"For the Great Divine Transcendents, the Reincarnation Hall is a treasure trove, but for those cultivators below, this place is not suitable for a prolonged stay. The lower the cultivation, the riskier it is to linger here for a long time."

Jiang Chen understood clearly that it wasn’t that the Reincarnation Hall was dangerous, but that his cultivation was too low. If he were at the level of a Great Divine Transcendent now, the Reincarnation Hall would not only not pose a danger to him but would be a rare Holy Land for cultivation, aiding him in understanding the Dao.

"If this is the case with the Reincarnation Hall, I wonder what it’s like inside the Pangu Palace?"

At this moment, Jiang Chen suddenly thought of the first divine palace of the Prehistoric World, the Pangu Palace.

This is a palace transformed from the head of Pangu, retaining the supreme Dao Rhymes left by Pangu Great God. It’s rumored that practicing inside the Pangu Palace could at the very least increase one’s chance of achieving the realm of Daluo Jinxian of Primordial Chaos by ten percent.

Whether the rumor is true or not, no one can verify, but the majesty of the Pangu Palace is universally acknowledged.

"Human Race, Jiang Chen, why have you come here?"

In the palace, a stern female voice rang out, inquiring about Jiang Chen’s purpose.

At this moment, Jiang Chen realized that the one who spoke was not Mother Earth, but a female Great Witch of the Witch Clan.

The Reincarnation Hall was vast, yet it appeared very sparse, as seem all ancient temples to be, furnished only with a few cushions and divine lamps, with hardly any other decorations. At least, the temples Jiang Chen had seen, like the Shangqing Divine Palace, were all like this.

In the expansive hall, Jiang Chen stood at the center, facing a gold-red lotus platform that floated in front of him, looking like an eleven-tiered Karma Fire Red Lotus, but it radiated a merit golden light, somewhat similar to the Merit Golden Lotus.

Sitting upright on this gold-red lotus platform was a figure enveloped in a hazy light; this must be Mother Earth.

Flanking Mother Earth were two twenty-something goddesses: on the left, the Great Witch of the Witch Clan, radiating powerful vital energy.

On the right stood what must be a Primordial Ghost God birthed by the essence of the Netherworld, whose physical body seemed weak, but whose divine spirit power was tremendously strong.

Both were at the completed stage of Taoist Master, likely attendants to Mother Earth. One from the Witch Clan and one a Primordial Ghost God — indeed, a balanced display of absolute loyalty to Mother Earth. The one who had spoken was the female Great Witch on the left.

Apart from these three, not far from Jiang Chen was a woman in a Daoist robe, sitting cross-legged on a cushion, her face a picture of deep enthrallment — clearly sunk deep into Dao enlightenment, so much so that even Jiang Chen’s arrival hadn’t awoken her.

At the sight of this Daoist nun, Jiang Chen breathed a sigh of relief subconsciously because she was none other than his senior sister, Saintess Wudang.

Seeing Saintess Wudang well and absorbed in Dao enlightenment suggested that matters concerning the deities of the Jiejiao Sect had been resolved. Next, it would be just a matter of waiting for the Six Paths Reincarnation Dish to refine their True Spirits cleanly, before they could reincarnate one by one to aid Jiang Chen.

"Reporting to Your Grace, Jiang Chen is here on an important matter."

"Earlier, I had already agreed on terms with the Great Witch Xing Tian on Changyang Mountain and bought Xing Tian’s freedom from him. However, having heard that the Axe of Xing Tian is in Your Grace’s possession, I specifically came here to humbly ask Your Grace to hand over the Axe of Xing Tian so I can fulfill my agreement with the Great Witch Xing Tian."

Before Mother Earth, Jiang Chen didn’t dare to lie, but clearly stated his reason for coming, and incidentally, he also gave a straightforward account of his deal with Xing Tian.
