Chapter 1014: Seven three nine twelve golden men

"Reincarnate as part of the Human Race?"

Saintess Wudang’s gaze flickered, and she did not agree immediately, but was instead deep in thought.

To jump from Heaven Court into the Human Race could mean freedom, but it was simply moving from one set of shackles to another. However, compared to Heaven Court, reincarnating into the Human Race offered more freedom, free from being driven by others.

Though one would not be driven by others in the Human Race, how could one stand by idly if the Human Race was in trouble? As a part of the Human Race, one would inevitably have to fight for it, to repay the kindness of their nurture.

Yet even so, reincarnating into the Human Race was still far better than remaining in Heaven Court Where remaining in Heaven Court left nearly no chance of liberation, reincarnating into the Human Race allowed one to step back onto the path of Immortal Dao and thus reach even higher realms.

The mere possibility of cultivating again was enough to make Saintess Wudang agree on behalf of her junior brothers and sisters. The temptation to cultivate anew was irresistible to them.

Some things are only realized to be precious once lost.

However, agreeing was one thing, but some conditions still needed to be discussed; even among close brothers, clear accounts must be kept.

"Junior brother, the current situation of the Human Race seems a bit troublesome, doesn’t it?" Saintess Wudang neither agreed nor refused, but instead inquired about the current situation of the Human Race.

From what the Upper Qing Saints had told her, Saintess Wudang could discern that the situation of the Human Race was very grim.

Some transcendent beings from the Mystic Sect coveted the Fate of the Human Race and were confronting the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, while others coveted the Chaos vital energy of the Human Race in Dongsheng Divine Continent and were eyeing it greedily.

The Human Race was essentially caught between two fires, and Jiang Chen, at this time, drawing the Jiejiao Sect disciples into the fray, was clearly preparing to use their help to counter the Mystic Sect.

In such circumstances, Saintess Wudang could naturally propose some conditions to seek some benefits for her junior brothers and sisters.

Jiang Chen was indeed Saintess Wudang’s junior brother, but so were those deities in Heaven Court. As a senior sister, seeking benefits for her junior siblings was perfectly normal.

"The Human Race is doing well now, and under my leadership, it will get even better in the future. Just a few Great Divine Transcendents from the Mystic Sect, as long as no saint intervenes, it’s merely a matter of more effort for the Human Race to deal with them."

Jiang Chen’s view differed from Saintess Wudang’s; in his opinion, the difficulties currently faced by the Human Race were trivial. Those Great Divine Transcendents might appear powerful, but in reality, they dared not press the Human Race too hard.

The Human Race had the confidence to overturn the table; this positioned them inherently invincible. Should they be pushed too hard, they could simply repeat the ancient events of the Great Ancient, destroying the Chaos World. Then, it would be interesting to see who would regret their actions in the end.

If the Chaos World were to be destroyed again today, its rank would inevitably fall, then the Great Divine Transcendents of that era would find it hard to reach the state of Primordial Chaos.

Therefore, the Great Divine Transcendents of Chaos World would never sit back and watch Heaven and Earth be destroyed again. When the Human Race exhibited a willingness to perish together, a Great Divine Transcendent would surely step forward to mediate, forbidding others from overly pressuring the Human Race.

The unity of the Human Race is their strength, hence their daring to overturn the table and perish together with Heaven and Earth.

But the Great Divine Transcendents of the Mystic Sect couldn’t do the same because, while Mystic Sect appeared united, they actually operated independently. They joined forces due to interests.

If the benefits were unevenly distributed, their alliance would immediately collapse. And going for mutual destruction clearly doesn’t align with the overall interests of the Mystic Sect.

Thus, if a Great Divine Transcendent chose mutual destruction, prepared to perish together with the world, the first to stop him would be his fellow sect members.

Nowadays, many Great Divine Transcendents have yet to realize this, so they dare to threaten the Human Race. But when the Human Race truly reaches a dead end, they will realize that pressuring the main character of Heaven and Earth into a corner is a cost they cannot afford.

"Sister, I understand your thoughts and wanting to seek benefits for the junior siblings of Heaven Court. It’s a human feeling, and I can understand that."

"But, sister, you should know that the Heavenly Dao is ever just; to receive something, one must give something in return. Today, I grant them benefits; in the future, they must pay a greater price for it," Jiang Chen said with a serious expression, looking at Saintess Wudang.

That special treatment, Jiang Chen could give to the Jiejiao Sect disciples, but as the saying goes: the more you get, the more you need. Today they enjoy privileges, but if the Human Race faces danger tomorrow, they must be at the forefront.

To bear a burden, one must also bear a responsibility; this is the order of Heaven.

"Thank you for the reminder, junior brother. My concern has clouded my judgment," Saintess Wudang replied upon Jiang Chen’s reminder, realizing that she had been overly optimistic, only thinking of the benefits and forgetting the corresponding responsibilities.

The fairness in the Chaos World differs from some places; it is not just about shouting slogans, it is truly fair. If one enjoys privileges beyond others, they must shoulder more responsibilities than others.

To desire benefits while shirking responsibilities is simply a fantasy. To think that Heavenly Dao is dead, don’t be surprised if struck by lightning one day.

The Heavenly Dao is unfeeling and does not favor; with It overseeing Heaven and Earth, it might not be 100 percent fair, but it is better than human governance.

Humans have emotions and desires, individual preferences, and thus a world governed by humans inevitably carries some bias, unable to be as impartial as the Heavenly Dao.
