(Giving out candy, asking for subscriptions, duck) Hanwei had seen Baili An cry blood tears over a skeleton, indicating that the name “Xing Wu” had indelibly marked his heart.

Hiding things now would only lead him to investigate wildly based on that ring; better to explain everything and let him settle down with his own plans.

The legends and deeds related to Xing Wu of the Demon Prison were numerous, but she chose only the most crucial points to discuss.

Baili An listened, deeply moved by the audacity, ruthlessness, and madness of Xing Wu’s actions.

Daring to assassinate the legendary World Sword Master while just in the Crossing Calamity Realm.

In each major realm, there are ten minor realms, and in the Seeking Tao Realm, being stronger by one minor realm could ensure absolute victory.

The gap between three major realms couldn’t simply be bridged by suffering severe injuries.

Baili An believed, even without the protection of the Thirteen Swords, it was impossible for Xing Wu to successfully assassinate Sword Master Yu.

Simply a Divine Thought sweeping through could have reduced Xing Wu of the Demon Prison to nothingness.

If not for being fortunate enough to use the Heir of Tianxi as a hostage, he would likely not have escaped the judgment of the Righteous Spirit Sword.

“However,” he questioned, “how is it possible that I have any connection with such a person?

Why did he protect me last night with his dying consciousness, if, as you say, Hanwei, he is truly such a cruel murderer?

Why would he sacrifice himself like this?”

One mystery after another weighed heavily on his mind, unsolvable riddles and inscrutable karma.

Hanwei explained, “There are only two possibilities: one, that this corpse is not actually Xing Wu, who reportedly has been dead for at least a hundred years, yet I know that just ten years ago Xing Wu was still active in Great Zhao.

Nine years ago, he kidnapped the Princess of Great Zhao, tortured her cruelly, and hanged her corpse at the Imperial City for the crows—a deed quite in line with Xing Wu’s usual methods.”

Baili wrinkled his brow, “If he is not Xing Wu, then who is he?

Who killed him and threw him into Chaotic Netherworld Valley, and why does he lay in that ancient black city?

How did the ring that identifies him as Xing Wu end up on his finger?”

Hanwei continued, “If we speculate that he is indeed Xing Wu, then the second possibility is that the person who appeared in Great Zhao ten years ago was not the real Xing Wu.

He was killed two hundred years ago and hidden in Chaotic Netherworld Valley, and the person living under the identity of Xing Wu now might be plotting a tremendous conspiracy.”

After a long silence, Baili An ultimately used the Autumnwater Sword to cut a monument and placed it before the ashes, carving with the sword tip “Tomb of Xing Wu.”

Regardless, now he knew the name Xing Wu.

With two possibilities, there was a fifty percent chance he might be Xing Wu.

Compared to an unnamed lonely grave, he felt that having a name by his side meant he wouldn’t get lost on the road to Netherworld.

“Thank you, Sister Hanwei, for informing me of all this today; I think I now know which path to take in the future.”

Hanwei looked at him deeply, then suddenly asked, “Would you like to have breakfast?”

This change of topic was indeed too abrupt.

It took Baili An a moment to understand that her ‘breakfast’ was referring to herself.

Instinctively wanting to refuse, but after a night of fierce fighting, the excessive loss of blood was worrying; he wasn’t sure how long his consciousness could last.

His corpse demon sister had taught him that a corpse demon should always keep themselves fed; a starving corpse demon was not a qualified one.

Baili An looked at Hanwei and said honestly, “I’m hungry.”

Hanwei smiled, lifted the hair from her shoulder, revealing her fair and delicate neck.

To Baili An, biting a neck between a man and a woman seemed overly intimate.

He regarded Sister Hanwei as a friend, and being cooled by his corpse demon body, he could calmly say he had never harbored inappropriate thoughts towards Hanwei.

Yet, that kiss from the other night haunted him for a long time.

He stared at her graceful, slender neck and suddenly asked, “Sister Hanwei, you don’t mind me biting your neck?”

Hanwei replied, “I fed you blood last night by biting already; why would I mind?”

Seeing her confused eyes, he knew she was certainly naive about the matters between men and women.

He then patiently explained, “For a woman to allow a man to touch her skin is already somewhat inappropriate, not to mention kissing around the intimate area of the neck.”

Meanwhile, a light rain continued, mists of drizzle sprayed across her hair and skin, collecting into crystalline droplets.

Supposedly mundane raindrops, coursing along her neck, made her look incredibly pure, as if untouched by worldly concerns—like a beauty meticulously crafted from ice and jade.

Hanwei’s expressions were always faint, reflective of her personality—light and simple as if one could see through to her true essence beneath her icy and jadelike skin.

She was cool but also naive.

Now, hearing Baili An’s words, she tilted her head slightly.

With an indifferent, lazy look, she wondered, “Women?

Men?

Should we really consider these things between us?”

So, Sister Hanwei, you never really saw me as a man to begin with…

Baili felt helpless inside, then heard her say, “I thought direct blood feeding would give you the freshest warmth.”

Baili couldn’t help scratching his head, “Sister Hanwei, I am a man, always feeding me this way makes me feel like I’m taking advantage of you…”

He suggested, “How about giving me a finger instead?”

Hanwei looked down at her long, slender fingers, not particularly fleshy, wondering how long it would take to satisfy hunger that way.

Moreover…

would it even taste as good as the neck?

She knew that for corpse demons, the blood from the neck was the warmest and sweetest, their favorite spot to feed.

Yet, this silly corpse demon was concerned about human etiquettes.

Hanwei helplessly released her hair.

Just as Baili An thought she was convinced to give him a finger, Hanwei reached out and brushed aside the hair on his shoulder, leaned in close, and lightly nibbled at his neck.

Struck as if by lightning, Baili An’s face, slightly sickly and pale, blushed with the warmth and soft touch at his neck, his ears tinged red, instinctively trying to pull away.

Knowing his intentions, as if anticipating them, Hanwei tiptoed, let go of her sword, and grasped his neck more assertively, deepening her bite at the same spot.

Like a kitten’s teeth, devoid of any lethality, but with a somewhat childish hint, it left Baili An utterly flustered.
