Chapter 226: Melted

Chapter 226: Melted

Sky had cummed. Just like that. Barely a touch. Just one bold stroke and...

"Sky..." Chris said, slowly, as if still processing.

"I couldn’t—I mean, I didn’t expect—fuck," Sky muttered, face burning, eyes still hidden but his body curled slightly like he could fold into himself and disappear. "It’s not even—fuck, this is so embarrassing."

Chris finally blinked himself back into his body. He stared, then laughed. Not mockingly. Not even amused—just... bewildered. A little breathless.

"You really just—?" He stopped himself. "I didn’t even do anything yet."

"Exactly!" Sky hissed, grabbing at the edge of his shirt to hide his face. "Don’t say anything else, please—"

Sky was still turned to the side, one arm covering his face while Chris remained behind him, half spooned up to his back. The silence stretched—comfortable, but thick with everything unsaid.

Chris broke it first, voice low but laced with a teasing note.

"Maybe you’ve been thinking about this too much," he said. "Built it up in your head so much that when it finally happened... you just couldn’t handle it."

Sky didn’t reply.

Chris paused.

"Oh," he murmured, realization slowly blooming in his tone. "You have been thinking about it too much."

Still, no response. Sky curled his fingers into a fist against the mattress.

Chris leaned close, pressing a kiss to Sky’s shoulder despite the tension rolling off of him. "You’re unreal."

"Chris."

"No, I’m serious." His voice was soft again, full of something tender now. "You were already that worked up? That’s kind of... insanely hot."

Sky groaned louder and tried to roll over fully, only for Chris to wrap an arm around him and pull him right back.

"I didn’t even get to see you yet," Chris whispered against his ear, "and you already lost it."

Sky gave him a shove, but it lacked any force. He was too overwhelmed. Too sensitive. His body still trembled.

"I hate you," Sky muttered into the pillow.

Chris smiled, just faintly. He didn’t push further. Instead, he leaned over, fingers reaching gently behind Sky’s head to untie the shirt blindfold.

Chris grinned into his shoulder. "I love you too."

The moment it slipped off, Sky turned and their eyes met. They both froze.

Sky looked flushed to the ears, lips parted. Chris’s gaze was soft, but—he—realized the weight of what he had just said.

It hung in the air between them.

Chris cleared his throat and pulled back a little, trying to cover the heat on his own face. "Anyway... yeah. That."

Sky just stared at him, swallowing hard. He sat up slightly with the duvet covering him, arms still close to his body, eyes darting from Chris’s face to the blanket to the corner of the room. Anywhere but at what was now very obvious between them.

Chris hadn’t... finished.

And he was still hard.

Sky glanced once—then away again, blinking fast. He rubbed the back of his neck and muttered, "Uh... do you want help with that?"

Chris blinked. "With...?"

"You know." Sky gestured vaguely to Chris’s lap, not meeting his eyes. "That."

Chris blinked again. "Wait, seriously?"

Sky turned even redder. "Don’t make it weird."

Chris laughed. "You’re making it weird!"

"I’m trying to help!"

"Help me jerk off?"

Sky huffed, flustered. "Yes—no—I mean, yes, if you want."

Chris was still laughing but now it was more incredulous than mocking. He sat up, hands raised in surrender. "Wow. You literally came in, like, ten seconds, and now you’re offering to—"

Sky shoved him lightly. "Shut up!"

Chris caught his wrist, and the grin on his face softened. He leaned forward, resting his forehead briefly against Sky’s.

"...You don’t have to. Really."

Sky, still embarrassed but earnest now, shrugged slightly. "I want to."

Chris could tell.

Sky was uncomfortable. Clearly.

His expression had tightened just slightly. His eyes, usually quick and sharp, kept darting away like they didn’t want to land on any one thing for too long—least of all Chris.

Chris recognized the signs. Sky was trying to play it cool, but the awkward set of his jaw and the way he kept tugging subtly at the hem of his shirt made it obvious.

He hated this. The mess. The lack of control. The fact that his pants were still wet. It was the most un-Sky-like state Chris had ever seen him in, and he could tell that he was self-conscious.

So Chris, softening, reached out and gently tugged at his arm.

"Hey," he said casually. "You wanna clean up first?"

Sky blinked, startled. Then he looked at Chris properly for the first time since everything. For a flicker of a moment, his eyes brimmed with something like relief.

"Is that okay?" he asked, quietly.

Chris smiled. "Sure. I’ll just... hide my face in the pillow and pretend I’m not reliving everything that just happened like an idiot."

Sky actually chuckled, a real one this time. "That sounds very you, but please edit some part out."

Chris shrugged, grinning. "Your wish. My command." Then he fell with his face pressed down on the pillow.

Sky stood and padded toward the bathroom, glancing over his shoulder once—maybe to make sure Chris was not looking. He wasn’t.

The moment Sky disappeared behind the door, Chris kicked his legs like a kid. Once. Twice. With his head still buried in a pillow.

What just happened?

He had touched him!

Sky. The one he was sure people were dying to know what he felt like underneath those clothes. Now he knew.

What the actual hell!

The guy had melted for him. Completely.

Chris replayed it all in his head.

Maybe it was the ridiculous cocktail of emotions coursing through him—happiness, disbelief, something fierce and warm just beneath his ribs—or maybe it was the scent in the pillow. It smelled like Sky. Clean. Warm. Faintly like fabric softener and something vaguely peppery that clung to Sky’s skin.

Whatever it was... Chris’s body relaxed without warning.

His arms tucked under the pillow.

The adrenaline faded from his system.

And just like that, his excitement gave way to something softer, and heavier, and sleepier.

He blinked once.

Twice.

And then, for fuck’s sake, he fell asleep.
