Chapter 136: Does Sky have a dual personality?
Chris knew Sky was caught off guard by the abrupt kiss. Even the way he shrank back instinctively told him so. But he weakened his hold around Sky’s nape, so that Sky was free to break away if he wanted to.
However, Sky recovered, and the tension between them snapped into something electric. As he returned Chris’s kiss, everything else faded. Not even remembering they hadn’t locked the door before doing something so... risky. At least for Sky’s reputation like he always said.
Good.
He kissed him back.
The kiss grew more frantic as both Chris and Sky fought for control, each trying to dominate the other.
Sky’s fingers found Chris’s hair, fisting a handful of his hair as their lips remained locked, hungry and desperate.
Their bodies moved in sync, turning, twisting, bumping into things in the heat of their struggle. The room seemed to shrink around them as they fell against the walls, each trying to get the upper hand.
Chris, despite his usual confidence, felt the heat rising in his chest as Sky pushed him back. They stumbled, ending up at Sky’s reading desk, and with a final push, Sky fell onto the table, sitting down hard. He was startled.
Chris grinned, victorious.
He knew he still had it in him. Reaching for Sky’s face, he cupped it and this time, he didn’t go for the kiss like some animal. And as much as he wanted to touch Sky, he didn’t. For some reason, he knew that would make Sky snap. There was something there that he still didn’t understand just yet.
He remembered watching Sky earlier today at the cafeteria and how turned on he had been.
And then later today at the gym when Sky had...
What did Sky do to him again?
He couldn’t remember anymore.
In that moment, he felt as though he wanted to merge himself with him. However, the moment was short-lived because the sting in his lip reminded him that he was still human. He winced, and that was when Sky pulled back.
They had really just made out with a cut on his lip.
The thought was both disgusting and arousing.
Both of them were breathing heavily, chests heaving as their foreheads rested together, their bodies still flushed from the intensity of the kiss. Chris couldn’t help the smile that tugged at his lips, even as the pain from the cut on his lip throbbed lightly.
"Kissing you is so fucking exhilarating," Chris confessed, his voice low and breathless.
Sky let out a quiet, exasperated sigh, his face flushed. "Don’t swear," he scolded, still panting.
Chris scoffed, amused. "It’s kind of ironic, don’t you think? After everything we just did."
Sky didn’t respond at first. Instead, he quietly pulled back and his eyes flickered down to the cut on Chris’s lip. His hand reached up, almost hesitantly, and brushed over it, the guilt in his gaze unmistakable.
Chris watched him. Wasn’t this the first time Sky was not stopping himself from actually touching him?
For a second, Chris considered asking him what the hell had just happened with Collins. But before he could voice his curiosity, Sky spoke.
"I don’t know what happened to Collins. He just..." He looked frustrated. Lost.
Fuck! That idiot was ruining his precious moment.
But he wasn’t a selfish person.
Sky was already stressed out as it was. But Collins just seemed to go berserk today and worsen things for him. However, he was curious to know what exactly had led to that.
"You never guessed it? That he might have liked you more than a friend all this time?" Chris didn’t bother to beat around the bush, since he could guess something must have happened between them beforehand.
"No," Sky answered, shaking his head. "We’ve been friends for a long time, and I never... never thought... you know."
Chris was so damn curious to know how all this started since he seemed pretty sure it must have originated because of him.
"Did he... say anything weird to you?" Sky asked tentatively.
It sounded like he wanted Collins to not have said some things.
"Aside from calling me a bisexual prostitute who came to ruin his peaceful love story?" Chris said in a sarcastic tone. However, Sky’s eyes widened.
"The fuck!" He exclaimed in disbelief.
"Do not swear with your pretty mouth," Chris reminded him before dropping a kiss on his puffy lips.
The fact that Sky was startled when he did that almost made Chris laugh.
Because they had just finished an intense make-out session and were still almost firmly pressed together, with Sky sitting on the table and he hovering close.
"What happened between you and Collins?" He asked, looking serious.
Sky looked away. "It’s nothing big."
"For real? He stormed in here, punched me twice, called me names, yet it’s nothing big?"
"He was just... he was just being crazy, Okay?" Sky snapped. And it was as if something shifted in him at once...
His eyes, once soft with concern, suddenly darkened and his expression hardened.
Without warning, Sky shoved Chris away, his hands pressing firmly against his chest, sending Chris stumbling back a few steps.
"And you. Stay the hell away from me," Sky growled, his voice cold, a sharp edge to it that sent a chill down Chris’s spine.
"What the hell?" Chris muttered, the words slipping out before he could stop them.
Chris blinked, thrown off guard. The shift in Sky’s demeanor was like night and day, and for a moment, he stood there, confused and disoriented.
Chris wasn’t Catholic. But in that moment, he was willing to find a priest for an exorcism.
Was Sky by chance... possessed?
Or did he have a dual personality?
Sky’s jaw tightened as he stood up from the desk. He took a deep, steadying breath while Chris continued to look at him as if he had lost his mind.
"What is the meaning of this?" Chris asked him, crossing his arms.
"I should be asking you that," Sky replied in a cold tone. "Do you have fun messing around with me?"
"What are you even talking about?" Chris asked in confusion.
It was all too much for him to deal with in one day. His brain was already exhausted.
Sky ignored him, took out his phone from his pocket, opened it, tapped a few things, and then shoved it in front of Chris’s face.
"Who the fuck is this witch?" Sky asked him.
Chris looked at the photo. And surprise, surprise! It was a selfie of him and the girl at the library; the same selfie she had taken of the two of them.
