Jock Next Bed (BL)
Chapter 110: The intimacy

Chapter 110: The intimacy

Even though Chris was a pervert, he had his limits. He had never been the type to let lust control him.

So he looked away from Sky as he focused on cleaning himself. He covered his lower part with the bedsheets and slipped out of his briefs.

As he quickly took care of the remaining clean-up, his cheeks were still tinged with embarrassment, especially seeing how he was still semi-hard.

"All done?" Sky asked with his back still to him.

"Yeah," Chris muttered as he dropped the cloth on the bowl and dropped his briefs on top of the other clothes Sky had helped him out of, which were all on the ground.

Sky turned around to face him with a set of fresh clothes in hand. He flashed Chris a playful grin. "You really need to do a good job arranging your wardrobe."

Chris chuckled in embarrassment. "Sorry, Your Royal Highness. I didn’t think you’d be ruffling through my things."

"That’s not an excuse, peasant."

Chris laughed. He appreciated how Sky effortlessly made him feel better all the time.

Sky’s careful steps carried him back to the bed, the fresh clothes draped over his arm. His fingers traced the edge of the fabric as he approached Chris, his gaze warm and reassuring. He extended the clothes towards Chris, his voice gentle. "Here you go. I found something comfortable for you to wear."

With a mixture of gratitude and self-consciousness bubbling within him, Chris said earnestly, "Thank you."

Sky’s smile was soft, a reflection of the tenderness that had infused their interaction. "You don’t need to thank me, Chris. We look out for each other." He said this as he picked up his dirty things and went to put them in Chris’s laundry basket.

Chris nodded, the gratitude in his heart extending beyond words. His embarrassment subsided as he focused on the simple act of getting dressed. As he slipped into the fresh attire, he couldn’t help but appreciate the thoughtfulness that Sky had put into selecting something comfortable. The fabric felt soft against his skin, a small comfort in the midst of his vulnerability.

When he was done struggling to wear fresh briefs and shorts without slipping the covers down to expose more than they bargained for, Sky helped him slip into a fresh shirt and settle back against the pillows. Chris’s body felt oddly weightless as if the act of being cared for had lifted a burden he hadn’t realized he was carrying. He couldn’t ignore the intimacy of the experience and the way it had blurred the lines between them, leaving them suspended in a shared moment of vulnerability.

As he settled back onto the bed, Sky took the empty bowl and left the room briefly. Chris used the time to collect his thoughts, his mind racing to process everything that had transpired. He still couldn’t believe how far things had escalated—how he had gone from a feverish mess to being half-naked with Sky in the same room.

Sky returned with the bowl now empty. Chris paid attention to him, wondering what he was up to until he saw Sky pick up a bottle of water from his pack and go to take Chris’s toothbrush. He filled it with toothpaste and returned to his bed to hand it to Chris.

Just give Chris one good reason why this guy shouldn’t be his.

He accepted the toothbrush and toothpaste with a sheepish smile, already planning their wedding in his head.

As he brushed his teeth, he avoided looking at Sky, who was busy dressing up his bed with a bedsheet and pillow cover. Even though he was touched, this was embarrassing and disgusting. It was also very awkward.

However, there was also an odd sense of closeness in the simplicity of the task. When he finished, he rinsed his mouth into the bowl, and Sky returned to pick them up with a reassuring smile and offered him a new bottle of water to drink.

Chris took a sip, the cool liquid soothing his parched throat. He felt a little more human now—a bit more like himself. It was strange how a few simple actions could bring comfort and connection, even in the midst of vulnerability.

"I’ll be right back. You should move to my bed. Yours is probably damp with sweat now. I’ll change the sheets when I return." Sky said and didn’t wait for an answer before he left with the bowl again.

It was true. His sheets reeked badly.

He felt faint when he sat up, but he eventually helped himself out of his bed and went to Sky’s. When he settled on it, the scent hit him, enveloping him in it, and he was instantly hard again.

Damn it, Chris!

He swore to himself and quickly used the sheets to cover himself when he heard the familiar footsteps approaching.

Sky entered and went to stand beside his bed, crouching down to look at him.

"How do you feel now?"

Chris hesitated, his gaze dropping for a moment before he looked back up at Sky. "Honestly, I feel better. It’s... weird, but I appreciate your help."

Sky’s expression softened, his hand reaching out to gently brush a strand of hair away from Chris’s forehead. "I’m glad I could help. This is why I should always be the first person you call. No one else can treat you better than me."

Chris could not help but smile at those words, even letting out a laugh. "Yeah, right." He said casually.

Sky was about to stand up when Chris grabbed his hand to hold him in place, and Sky raised a questioning brow at him.

"Leave my bed. Let’s share this one." He said this with his intense gaze on Sky’s face.

"Eh?" Sky raised a brow.

Before he knew it, the words were slipping from his lips almost on their own, his voice soft and slightly teasing. "You know, I... I’m actually kind of scared of the dark."

Sky arched an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at his lips. "Oh really? Since when?"

Chris shrugged, feigning nonchalance. "Yeah, well... it’s just that when you were outside the room earlier, I felt so alone in the darkness."

Sky chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Nice try, Chris. But I know you’re just trying to trick me into sleeping in the same bed as you."

Chris laughed, unable to contain his amusement. "Okay, okay, you got me. But hey, a guy can try, right?"

Sky shook his head, a fond smile playing on his lips. "You’re something else, Chris. Fine, I’ll stay here, but only because I know you’re faking it."

Chris’s laughter faded into a warm smile as he scooted over to make room for Sky on the bed. Sky first switched off the lights before he settled beside him, and Chris couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. Despite the awkwardness and vulnerability, he had someone who cared, someone who was willing to go the extra mile to make sure he was okay.

Someone he was going to make his.

Sky’s arm draped over him, pulling Chris into a gentle embrace. "Just rest now. I’ll be here if you need anything."

Chris didn’t pull away; instead, he settled into it and closed his eyes. He felt a sense of relaxation wash over him. The warmth of Sky’s body against his own was oddly soothing, and he found himself enjoying the closeness more than he expected. The weight of the day’s events finally caught up to him, and he felt a mixture of exhaustion and comfort—a sense of security that he hadn’t expected to find.

This wasn’t something Sky did with everyone, right?

He refused to believe that he was not special.

In the quiet of the room, as the world outside seemed to fade away, Chris felt a burst of courage and draped his hand over Sky’s hand that was around him, locking their fingers together. With his voice barely above a whisper, he broke the peaceful silence. "Sky?"

He felt Sky’s body still for a moment before he answered, "Hmm?"

Chris hesitated for a moment, then continued, "Who are they?"

"Who?"

"The people you’ve cared for like this."

Sky’s chuckle rumbled through his chest, the sound vibrating against Chris’s back. "Always the curious one, aren’t you?"

Chris shifted and turned so that they were both facing each other, and he draped a hand around Sky’s waist as he answered, "Well, yeah. I mean, you said it, not me. So...?"

"Let’s just say they were people who needed help. And leave it at that."

Chris’s brows furrowed, and his curiosity piqued even further. "That’s it? You’re not gonna tell me anything more?"

Sky’s laughter filled the room, warm and genuine. "I’m just a guy who knows how to take care of people when they need it."

Chris rolled his eyes playfully, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Come on, Sky. Don’t leave me hanging. I promise I won’t tell anyone."

Sky’s hand moved up to ruffle his hair affectionately. "Nice try, but some things are best left as mysteries, Chris."

Chris let out a dramatic sigh, sinking a little closer into Sky’s embrace. "You’re no fun. But fine, I’ll drop it."

"Good. There are some things that are better left unsaid." Sky whispered, and in those words and the deep look in his eyes, Chris felt like there was more to it.

"You know," Chris started, "despite the awkwardness, I’m really glad you’re here."

Sky’s smile was warm; there was a genuine affection in his eyes. "I’m glad I am too, Chris."
