Chapter 40: Well, it was good on my path

The shoot went into the night, as planned. The reason it started in the afternoon, when we could’ve started by morning and ended it by noon was not just for the sake of those who had religious activities but for the night shoot.

There was no need to waste time so it was scheduled for the afternoon.

’It’s cold.’ I rubbed my palms together while viewing the screen with another member.

Nights in the middle of spring tend to be cold but even at that, we still needed to take the night shot.

’It’s been going great so far but with this cold, will they be alright?’ I worried for them.

I hoped hard that they would be okay. But oh well, this was one of the hardships models needed to face. They needed to endure harsh weather so they could get the perfect shot.

The twins came out, one at a time, and stood in front of me. I held on to my camera, ready to take, once again, a great shot but for some reason, I froze up and couldn’t move.

It wasn’t that I was frozen cold or that I couldn’t see. Rather, I was blinded.

I didn’t mean to exaggerate but honestly, the twins were breath takers.

"What’s wrong, Hyung?" I snapped out of it, hearing Seojin’s voice. I looked straight at him and he smiled. "You look overwhelmed." He said and I looked away, my cheeks blushing hard like a crimson moon.

Of course, I was overwhelmed. Did he have to smile along with that already godly appearance?

Taiha placed a hand on my shoulder and asked,

"Are you okay?"

"Uh, yeah. I’m fine." I said.

"You sure? Your face is all red. Do you get cold easily?"

"Not at all," I said and grew a little flustered, peeking at the twins.

He looked at me strangely and followed my gaze to the twins. Something told me he caught on to my suspicious act, so I immediately changed the topic.

"Let’s get started. We can’t have our stars stay out for too long." I said, adjusting my camera, and he nodded.

"You’re right." He faced the crew and clapped his hands. "Alright, people. Come on. Let’s start and end this in a snap."

I sighed in relief, glad that I had covered up what could’ve been a costly mistake.

’Get it together. This is only the beginning.’ I told myself and decided to focus.

Even if they did look breathtaking, I needed to hold my breath in. I was a photographer already so instead of gazing at the breathtaking scene, I needed to make sure to capture it in camera.

I showed Taiha the pictures, showed the twins, and didn’t even need to change their posture. They knew exactly what they needed to do, which made things a lot easier.

They looked like they had been doing this for years.

"And that’s a wrap." Taiha announced and the crew started packing up.

I’d have to edit the pictures when I got home or maybe the next day. It depends.

’For now, let’s focus on getting home.’ I told myself and glanced back at the twins before leaving.

Though we lived right next to each other, we had never gone to work together or come back together. We didn’t even cross paths.

Well, it was good on my path.

’Do they take public transport?’ I wondered as I boarded a taxi but shook my head. ’Nah. The company wouldn’t allow it. The company probably provided a car for them already. So lucky.’

I gazed out the window and suddenly heard the driver sneeze.

"Excuse me." He said. "The weather’s so cold at night I need to wear more."

I returned my gaze to the view outside the car. The night was indeed cold, but in a way, my insides were immune to cold.

I might seem cold on the outside. My skin might probably be freezing but I hardly felt it. It was like there was a continuous burning flame inside me.

That day ended in a flash. I slept like a log of wood, and the next day, I was off to work in tip-top shape.

"Good morning, Sunbae-nim." I greeted Taiha who looked at me oddly and then cackled.

"So, you refused to call me Hyung and went ahead to call me Sunbae, eh? Well, I’ll allow it, since I am your senior in the field." He said, once again patting my back in his usual violent way.

"Ah, yes."

Once again, the circle of a good day, came rolling in. The shoot started nicely but when zooming into Seojun’s face, I noticed something was off.

’Did they add more blush to his cheeks?’ I wondered and took a look at the pictures. They looked okay but... Not perfect. ’Hm, I feel something’s off.’

"Did it come out well?" Taiha asked.

"Yes, but..." He took the camera from me and took a look.

"It looks good but..."

"You see it too, right?" I asked. A little too loud and excited. "I mean, I feel something’s wrong with Seojun."

Taiha looked up at Seojun. His stylist was fixing his hair and he was smiling like usual. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

"It could just be the make-up." He said and handed back my camera. "I’ll go talk to his artist. For now, let’s start the solo shoot."

I nodded and took a look at the picture once more. I sighed. It was probably just the blush.

Though the twins were put into one album as a team and did all their shoots together, there were still times when they would need to take solo shoots.

This was the first day of the solo shoot and this time, I needed to pay close attention to just one of them. The one standing in front of me stared with sparkling, vigorous eyes and a mesmerizing smile.

"What is it, Hyung?" Seojin called out and I took one more picture. "Should I change my pose?"

"How about looking to the side for now?" I said, using this as an excuse to avoid looking into his eyes.

He smirked and turned his face to the side, revealing a devilish and tempting pose. And all in all, he was still looking at me.

His gaze might’ve been fixed towards the side but his eyes were still on me. I’d like to think he was doing it so the audience would immediately get the feeling of his eyes on them, like the tempting devil he was posing as but... My heart wouldn’t stop beating uncontrollably.

’I’m in trouble.’
