Chapter 379: You look beautiful
Chapter 379: You look beautiful
Dongwoo stood in front of the mirror admiring himself. He had never dressed up like this before. Not even when they attended the anniversary of Wailers was he so polished and poised looking.
He looked like a white prince. He couldn’t help but blush at his own reflection.
His tux was white and it looked like it had been customized just for him.
"My Hyung is so handsome I could cry." Minwoo said and blew his nose.
"Am I really... Getting married?" Dongwoo asked, still confused. It just didn’t make sense that he was suddenly proposed to last night and then today he had to get married.
When did they even have time to make all the preparations?
"Hyung, you might not know, but preparations have been underway for weeks." Minwoo finally shed some light, and Dongwoo looked at him, shocked.
Why was he only telling him now?
"All that was left was for you to accept the proposal," he said but Dongwoo’s head was literally upside down.
"So, what would’ve happened if I rejected their proposal? What would’ve happened to the wedding?" He asked but Minwoo laughed.
"That would’ve never happened." He said. "Besides, if you did, I’m certain they have a way to convince you otherwise. You love them so much, and they love you; there was no way you would’ve rejected their proposal."
Dongwoo sighed. Yeah, there was no way but still... To think they planned such a thing as a surprise.
"Oh, look at the time, it’s already time." Minwoo said. He was already dressed in his tux. A blue tux, as he had insisted on wearing. "You’re beautiful, Hyung. So, smile and enjoy your day."
Since Korea had not yet legalized same-sex marriage, it was understandable that they conducted the wedding in Italy.
But still, Dongwoo still felt nervous.
He never thought he would get married. In the first place, he never thought he would find love as strong and beautiful as this.
As they walked down the stairs, he noticed there was no one in the house. Well, except for the helpers. It looked like they had all gone to the venue.
"Come on, Hyung. Don’t drag your feet." Minwoo said, tugging Dongwoo. "I know you’re nervous but if we don’t get there quickly, we’ll be late."
"Okay, okay."
They got in the car, and without even telling the driver where they had to go, he hit the gas and drove hurriedly, but he was steady in his driving.
"I really am nervous. I... I don’t know what to do." Dongwoo said. "I didn’t know I would be getting married so I didn’t prepare. I..." He asked, panicking, and Minwoo hugged him.
"Just do whatever you want, Hyung." Minwoo said. "Even if you make a mistake, they will always be there to support you."
Dongwoo took his words to heart and smiled warmly.
They got to the venue and Minwoo helped Dongwoo cover his face with this lace veil.
"There. Now you look like a real bride." He said and Dongwoo asked,
"Was I a fake bride to begin with?"
"Oh, you know what I mean."
In the cold winter, they wanted to have an open-air wedding, and that was what they were doing.
It was no wonder Dogwood had to wear such thick layers of tux. He wondered if it was just made that way but now he saw why.
Dongwoo stood at the entrance, clutching Minwoo’s hand but Minwoo slipped out of his hold and said,
"From here, you have to go on your own,"
"No, please don’t leave me." Dongwoo grabbed his arm. He couldn’t walk down the aisle alone. He felt he would faint half way from all the eyes on him.
There were quite a lot of people contrary to what he thought. But most of those people were all people he was familiar with.
And yet... He couldn’t help but feel nervous.
At the end of the aisle were Seojin and Seojun staring at the end as if they had seen a ghost.
"Fine, I’ll walk you down the aisle." Minwoo said, looking reluctant, but in fact, it was what he wanted all along. He hooked his arm, allowing Dongwoo to hold onto him.
It all happened so fast that Dongwoo’s senses fell dull as he approached the altar. He didn’t even know what people were saying or what song the pianist was playing on the piano. All he knew was that he wanted to get to the alter already.
He wanted to be next to Seojin and Seojun. He wanted to pull their ears and ask for an explanation. But let’s not ask for that during the wedding.
"Hyung," he heard their voices and raised his gaze to find them both stretching their hands towards him.
He stared at them. They looked especially handsome. Their smiles were glistening.
He took their hands, and Minwoo walked away to stand next to Sungho, who got the privilege of being the best man for some reason.
The three of them stood in front of the priest and listened to his brief wordings, and then like a whisper, Dongwoo heard Seojin’s voice,
"You look beautiful,"
Dongwoo flushed. Really, this was no time to be doing something like this. Did they want him to become a tomato?
Thank goodness for the veil he was wearing.
"And now, you may uncover the veil." The priest said, causing Dongwoo to flinch.
Just when he thought he was safe.
"Hyung," Seojun took the honor and took off the veil, being the first to gaze into Dongwoo’s precious face. "Surprise,"
"In sickness and in health, riches and poor, so you take Lee Minwoo to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The priest asked and they both answered,
"We do."
"And you, Lee Minwoo, do you take--?"
"I do." Dongwoo answered quite impatiently, and the audience laughed, causing him to flush. He didn’t know what came over him but he answered before even hearing the vows. How embarrassing.
"Hoho, it seems you are all in a hurry to get married. So, let me pronounce you with God as my witness, married."
Immediately, he said that confetti blew up into the air, and the audience cheered.
Dongwoo felt something was missing though. How come he didn’t get to slide a ring into their fingers?
"I object!" Minwoo suddenly yelled, interrupting the celebration and all eyes fell on him. "Ahem," he cleared his throat. "You guys can’t just get married like that."
Seojun frowned and so did Seojin. They had this intimidating look in their eyes but Minwoo stood his ground.
"You guys already marked my Hyung with your ring," he said, and Dongwoo looked at the ring on his white-gloved finger. "So, he has to do the same." He took out a box and opened it, showing two rings. "Luckily, I prepared this. So, let Lee Dongwoo put a ring on your fingers too."
Dongwoo saw this and felt, ’Ah, my brother understands me best. Thank you, Minwoo.’
"Alright," Seojin said after chuckling and taking the rings. "Hyung, would you mind?"
"No, not at all. I would love to." Dongwoo said, taking the rings from him. He licked his lips and gulped. "With this ring, I want anyone who gazes at you to know that you already belong to someone." He blushed as he slid the ring into Seojun first and then turned to Seojin. "You both belong to me."
"Awn," the crowd felt his words and then after that, they cheered.
At that moment, it began to snow, and Dongwoo pulled Seojin in for a kiss before doing the same to Seojun, proactively claiming them both as his.
He was happy, so happy that his joy could not be contained. He was so happy that he wished every day would be like this.
What started with a stream of misfortune finally came around and gave him all the fortune he could ever ask for. It all started with that one picture and now, even if it was Just A Picture it brought them to this point.
"Alright, say cheese," the cameraman in charge of pictures said and they came together.
"I love you, Seojin, Seojun."
"We love you too, Hyung." They hugged him, pressing their heads to his and he smiled, making that the most memorable picture.
After all, what started with a picture has to end with another picture.
And they lived&loved Happily Ever After
