Chapter 299: You said you had business with Lee Dongwoo. Which one?
"Uncle?"
The twins called out and Alejandro’s eyes glazed at his nephews.
"Ah, busted." He muttered.
He wanted to carry out this operation without getting caught.
"Uncle?" Dongwoo repeated, looking at the twins and Minwoo furrowed his eyebrows.
"Uncle?" He also repeated. "This guy is your uncle? In fact, I don’t want to know. Just get him off me."
"And what makes you think the sucklings can do anything about your situation?" Alejandro asked, dropping his chin on Minwoo’s head.
Minwoo tried to push his head off but he wouldn’t even budge.
"I’m a bit confused." Dongwoo said.
"So am I." Minwoo added and then looked at Sungho staring at him, in that position. "Sungho, just know that this isn’t what it looks like."
"And what do you think this looks like?" Alejandro asked.
They were already drawing quite the attention.
Dongwoo, though he couldn’t understand what was going on, why the twin’s uncle was holding Minwoo like they were an intimate couple, or why the twins looked... Angry, but he wanted to free his brother from that uncomfortable situation before things escalated and their pictures flooded the internet again.
He stepped forward and grabbed Minwoo’s hand.
"Good evening," he said to Alejandro, who observed him carefully, "I assume you understand Korean well, so I’ll just get straight to the point. This isn’t Italy and people here are rather uncomfortable with this public display. So, if you could, let him go. And if you don’t, prepare to have your face circulating on the Internet."
"Are you threatening me?" Alejandro asked but Dongwoo looked him straight in the eye and said,
"Welcome to Korea."
Alejandro squinted his eyes, skeptical. He glanced left and right at people who were slowly gathering around the scene, and then let go of Minwoo, allowing Dongwoo to pull him right away and hide him behind him.
"Alright, you win." He said, folding his arms. "But I’m not taking my eyes off him."
"What business do you have with my brother?" Dongwoo asked. "If you’re here in Korea, you should at least come say hi to your nephews but the first thing you do is go after..."
"Lee Dongwoo." He called, causing Dongwoo and Minwoo to flinch at the same time. "My business," he put his shades back on, glanced at the Kim twins, who were still frozen in their feet, and then back to the Lee Twins in front of him. "...is with Lee Dongwoo, so step aside. We need to have a little chat."
He could see that the guy standing up to him had an uncanny resemblance to the one standing behind him. He wasn’t told that he had a twin so this complicated matters.
Those incompetent dumbasses only knew how to sit on their asses and slack off all day. Now he got the whole thing mixed up.
But he felt the one he wanted was him. The one who exuded a soft cherry scent that somehow brought comfort to his soul.
That was the one he was after.
After all, he already said he was Lee Dongwoo, so this one in his front had no business with him.
That is... Until he opened his mouth and asked,
"Which one?"
"Excuse me?" Alejandro asked, unsure if he heard that right.
"You said you had business with Lee Dongwoo," he began and Minwoo clenched his arm, shaking his head.
He hoped he wasn’t about to do what he asked thinking.
But Dongwoo was determined to release his brother from this man whose intentions were unknown.
"... Which Lee Dongwoo do you have business with? Is it me or him?"
Alejandro raised his shades, hanging them on his head, and sighed.
"Are you trying to play me for a fool?" He asked.
"We’re done here." Seojun suddenly said. They found a way to break out from whatever frozen state they were in.
He stood in front of Dongwoo, facing his uncle, and said,
"I don’t know what you came here for but you won’t find it. So, please leave us alone."
Seojin clenched his fists and then released them.
He was angry. How could he have frozen up just from seeing his uncle?
What would he have done if he hurt Dongwoo?
He stepped up and said,
"Uncle, it was nice meeting you," he placed his hand on Dongwoo’s shoulders. "... But we made reservations, so we best be going."
He pushed Dongwoo forward, walking past his uncle, who did not try to stop him, and Sungho grabbed Minwoo’s hand.
Minwoo looked at his hand and then raised his gaze to look at Sungho who had a little apologetic expression in his eyes.
He was... Sorry?
Maybe because he couldn’t do anything but watch as that man held on to him. He was a coward, he thought.
"Let’s go." He said and led Minwoo away, but as they walked past Alejandro, he rolled his eyes towards Minwoo, and their eyes locked for a second before Minwoo looked away.
"Uncle," Seojun called and Alejandro looked towards him. "What are you doing here?"
"Hm, do you really want me to answer?" He asked, his lips curling up. "You suckling need to know not to walk over the ladder."
"What does that mean?"
"Exactly what I said." He dropped his shades on his nose bride and pushed it up a bit. "Don’t get in my way, suckling. Right now, I only have business with that guy." He walked towards Seojun and dropped his hand on his shoulder. "But you never know, if you mess things up..." He leaned his head closer and whispered, "...you just might be next on my list."
With that, he walked away, waving his hand.
"I’ll be around, suckling."
Seojun’s hands trembled and then he clenched it.
He hated that he was the one person who could make him tremble in fear.
He hated that he still couldn’t stand up to him even now.
His eyes turned cold.
"Alejandro Barone," he muttered in a brisk tone. "I won’t let you get to Hyung." He looked back at Alejandro walking away. "Just wait and see."
Dongwoo and the others watched Seojun approach after his talk with Alejandro.
They were relieved that things did not escalate and Alejandro did not try to make things more complicated, but the fact that someone like that was their uncle and had appeared all of a sudden was a bit worrying.
Someone who could make even Seojun freeze up.
He remembered Seojun telling him that they weren’t on good terms with their family so he couldn’t even say his uncle came over for a friendly ’visit’. Just what was going on?
Was this what they said when they said it would be trouble if their location was locked down but their grandfather?
Was this man... Sent by their grandfather?
He got anxious. Was their happiness on a timer?
