Chapter 268: And what if it’s not a rumor?

The shoot started once more and though Dongwoo did not like the sight of Song Haijin, he decided to work diligently so she could get out of their hair.

He also saw Shinwoo but it looked like after he talked about it with Minwoo, he gained a little bit of confidence. Though, he still tried to avoid her.

"How’s your hand?" Song Haijin asked as she approached him, while he took a closer look at the pictures he took with Taiha.

Dongwoo looked up at her, his mood turning sullen but he did not let it show.

"Luckily, I got a lot of care so it’s fine now." He said, smiling.

"Oh," she exclaimed. "That’s great news." She looked like she was delighted but they knew she didn’t really mean well for Dongwoo.

"It would be bad if your little injury posed a problem to your work ethic. You should be more careful." She added and Dongwoo nodded.

"I was careless." He said. "It won’t affect anything, so don’t worry."

"Hm, is that so? Because I can remember that it was because of your injury that we ended the shoot halfway last time." She pointed out, smiling but having the eyes of a devil.

"Song Haijin, we understand your concerns but you don’t need to worry anymore." Taiha spoke up, dropping his camera on the table in front of them.

"Hm, alright." She clasped her hands together and tilted to the side, probably trying to act cute. "If the director says so, then I’ll believe it. Haha."

She said that but she still wasn’t leaving.

Dongwoo wondered what she wanted that

"Ah, that reminds me, I heard a few things around earlier. They said that you hurt yourself just so you wouldn’t take pictures of me with the twins." She said with a mocking grin. "Is that that true? Do I get on your hair, Lee Dongwoo?"

Dongwoo’s eyebrow twitched. She was clearly making that up. Was she trying to get a rise out of him once more?

"Song Haijin," Taiha called and stood up. "I don’t know where you heard that from but it was just some random speculation you picked up. It’s a rumor, much like the one circulating around the net right now." He said with a not-so-friendly smile.

"Oh, what about the net?" She folded her arms, acting oblivious.

"Don’t play dumb," Dongwoo said and also stood up. "You probably just used the fact that I’m injured to come to show your ’concern’ and also check to see how I’m holding up with the rumor that’s going around. But as Sunbae said, it’s just a rumor and all rumors die."

"And what if it’s not a rumor?" She asked, with a confident smirk on her lips as she stared at Dongwoo sharply and fiercely, and this did not make Dongwoo happy.

"Song Haijin, we both know it’s a rumor." Taiha said, forcing Song Haijin to tear her snake-like gaze away from Dongwoo and to him.

"Well, I don’t know, Director. I mean, you don’t really know the insides of us celebrities. Our private life isn’t exactly one that people could guess." She said, shrugging nonchalantly.

"So, what are you implying?" Dongwoo asked. "Are you saying that you have something going on with the twins?"

He was pissed. Not only did she start a rumor, she was boldu standing in front of them and making claims in a roundabout manner.

Song Haijin placed her index finger over her lips, trying to show off her charms as a woman, and winked.

"You didn’t hear it from my mouth!"

She turned to walk away, swaying her hips when Dongwoo yelled at her,

"They’re not yours!"

This caught the attention of the rest of the crew and they turned their heads to see what was going on. Even the twins, who were getting their makeup retouched, turned to see what was going on.

"I don’t know what you’re planning, but it won’t work because they will never be yours." He declared and Song Haijin, ticked at his words, turned to him and asked,

"And who do they belong to? You?" She asked and Dongwoo’s eyes widened.

He released his clenched fists and looked around to find everyone staring.

’Let’s see how you speak your way out of this one.’ Song Haijin thought, grinning at her smart move.

Dongwoo would have to respond smartly if he didn’t want to seem suspicious. But what would he say? He couldn’t think while conscious of all the eyes on him.

"Yeah," Minwoo suddenly answered, walking up to them. "He belongs to us, actually. He belongs to Wailers. He belongs to this studio. So no matter the schemes you try to pull, he won’t leave us for you."

He stood beside Dongwoo and smirked.

"So, give up!"

Song Haijin clicked her tongue. Who was this that came to spoil everything?

She was just about to leave a hint and show the seed of suspicion that Dongwoo was gay. Now, with what he said, they would think they were arguing about their companies.

"Hmph!" Song Haijin turned. "This isn’t over."

Dongwoo turned to Minwoo and said,

"Thank you."

"Don’t sweat it. It’s only right that I have your back." He said and Dongwoo sighed.

He almost messed up there. He let his emotions get the better of him.

Since when was he so careless like that?

Taiha dropped his hand on his shoulder and asked,

"Are you okay?"

Dongwoo nodded.

"Yes, thank you."

"You gotta learn how to handle situations like this. Once you slip up, you need to find a way to get back to and use your words carefully. She was going to use your own words against you." He pointed out and Dongwoo nodded.

"I know. I’ll be more careful next time." He said.

The twins looked at Dongwoo from afar. What happened this time?

Then, their eyes turned to Song Haijin, who was gleefully approaching them, and their eyes turned cold.

If they could, they would skin her alive. She was a complete nuisance. She was causing trouble again.
