Chapter 250: You’re just as lonely as me

Dongwoo stared up at Shinwoo.

Though, his hands were shaken, he made a conviction that he no longer wanted to be controlled by Shinwoo any longer, no matter the threats.

"I... Will not be part of your game anymore." He said. "I’ve seen your true colors. I know what you’re like. I can’t believe I let myself be deceived by you from the start."

"Well, you’re just that gullible." Shinwoo said. "And a fool. So easy to play with."

He trailed his finger along Dongwoo’s jawline.

"I wonder. Maybe I shouldn’t have put in so much effort from the start. If I didn’t pamper you so much..." He grabbed his chin roughly. "Then you wouldn’t have grown these annoying wings. But don’t worry, I’ll pluck them out, one by one. You’re mine and mine alone."

"Stay away from me, Shinwoo." Dongwoo said. "I don’t want you to do something that you’ll regret."

"Me? Regret? You’re the one who’s headed in the path of regret." He cackled. "Right here, right now, I’m going to have you for myself."

Dongwoo’s eyes widened. It wasn’t what he was thinking, was it? Shinwoo wasn’t really going to try to force himself on him, was he?

No, no... He didn’t want to think that far. He might’ve been a scumbag but he wouldn’t lower himself to the level of a rapist.

He wanted to believe that that was the case.

"Shin... Shinwoo." Dongwoo called. "What did I do to you?"

"Hm?" Shinwoo looked down at him to find him crying. "I... I just didn’t want either of us to get hurt from this relationship. This relationship just doesn’t work and..." He pursed his lips as his tears streamed down slowly. "...you know that. You just don’t want to let go. If you have any feelings for me, even a little bit, please stop this."

Shinwoo stared at him and then laughed.

"Haha, you’re funny." He said. "And so adorable when you cry. But do you want to know something funnier?"

He leaned closer and whispered,

"I never really liked you. I just found you as a very good toy to play with." Dongwoo’s eyes widened. "Yeah, that’s right. I was bored and wanted to have some fun but you were playing hard to get, making me spend so much effort on a relationship I didn’t even care about. It was fun. So fun to watch you smile and gush at the things I did. But I got annoyed when you decided to break up. I mean, you’re not even the one who started this game. So why would you end it, right? That’s not how it works. And that’s why I decided to punish you. Haha."

Dongwoo found it hard to swallow his saliva.

What Shinwoo’s words meant was that he had been playing with him all along while he... He took it seriously? He thought they were in a real relationship but... It had been a joke all along?

Just what in the world? How did he come to know this bastard?

Oh right, he came to him on his own, spewing lies and saying things that would buy him over.

He believed him and everything he said. He was a fool. Such a fool!

The tears of regret and pain rolled down Dongwoo’s cheeks in streams.

"Oh? You’re crying more than before." Shinwoo said. "Come, let me give you a shoulder to cry on." He has this disgusting smile on his lips that got Dongwoo mad.

He glared at Shinwoo.

"You bastard," he cussed and Shinwoo got angry.

"Say that one more time. I dare you."

"What? If I say it you’re going to silence me?" Dongwoo asked. "Ah, now I get it. You had been so much of an asshole that you knew of you approached me, or anyone for that matter, with this sort of personality, you’re real personality, you wouldn’t be able to find a lover."

Dongwoo smirked, provoking him.

"You’re just as lonely as me and even the worst sorta crap than I’ll ever be."

"You’re dead!" Shinwoo said and grabbed him by the neck, choking him.

"What did you call me?" He asked while Dongwoo tried to get his hand off. "After all my goodwill? Huh? You have the guts to spill that shit about me, ungrateful, you fag? You were such a lonely loser that I even spent time with you. Now you’re calling me a bastard? The worst kinda crap? I ought to teach you a lesson."

He raised his hand to hit Dongwoo but before he did, Dongwoo kicked his leg, causing him to loosen his grip around Dongwoo’s neck.

Dongwoo immediately picked himself up and ran out of there.

"Hey! Come back here." Shinwoo ran after him, but Dongwoo had a fair history and ran away from people, so he was able to create a huge distance between them.

This should’ve been enough for Shinwoo to stop chasing him but he kept chasing, determined to catch Dongwoo.

Then, Dongwoo took a left turn.

Shinwoo clicked his tongue and picked up the pace, but just as he was about to make the turn, he bumped into a police officer.

"What the...?"

Dongwoo hid behind the officer and pointed at Shinwoo.

"It’s him." He said. "This is the guy that’s been threatening me and trying to kill me."

Shinwoo still hadn’t gotten a hold of what was going on when the policeman captured him and cuffed his hands.

"What...? What is the meaning of this?" Shinwoo asked, confused and angry.

"You have the right to remain silent until we get to the station." The policeman said and took him to the car that was parked just around the corner.

"Hey, I didn’t do anything." Shinwoo struggled. "Let go of me." He kept struggling till the policeman tucked him inside his car and shut the door. "You’re making a big mistake and you’re going to regret it."

The policeman turned to Dongwoo.

"You’ll also need to come with us to the station." He said, and Dongwoo nodded.

Dongwoo turned to look at Shinwoo, gritting and grinding his teeth and he smirked with an expression that asked,

’Who’s laughing now?’

*****

"Wait, I don’t understand what happened there." Minwoo said. "Did you skip something?"

"I’ll get there. Calm down." Dongwoo said and Minwoo nodded.

It turned out that Dongwoo had decided on a way to get Shinwoo out of his hair.

He knew that even if he repelled Shinwoo, and forced a break up, Shinwoo may never leave him alone. And he may never even get a chance to force their relationship to break so he decided on a method that was beyond effective.

Unless Shinwoo was from some rich conglomerate family, he wouldn’t be able to get out of it.

A day earlier, he went to the police, dropped a complaint after explaining to them of the incident that happened in his workplace.

It was hard, telling them that he was framed for sexually attacking his boss, and the look in their eyes was even more unbearable.

Anyway, after he told them that, he proceeded to explain that there was a guy who approached him after that and had been trying to force him into a relationship and sometimes even got physical with him.

Of course, he twisted the story by a bunch and showed them bruises on his hand and the bruise he was hiding underneath his hair.

That was enough evidence they needed that there had been physical attacks present but how were they sure that this said guy was the one responsible?

So, Dongwoo said he would lead him to them. When he tried to get physical again, he would run away.

The police saw this as a good idea but also a bad idea.

Though they were not very comfortable with his claims that another man was trying to have sex with him, he was still a citizen, and his safety was the highest priority.

Dongwoo assured the cops that he would try not to get hurt this time and that he really needed to bring this guy to justice.

It was a very bold thing to say and do, but Dongwoo made a conviction that he could no longer live like that. Shinwoo would no longer control him.

After careful deliberation, they agreed and so, Dongwoo needed to make Shinwoo provoked enough that he would want to chase him down.

And that was why he went as far as saying those words, hoping Shinwoo would hit him.

It didn’t end with him hitting Dongwoo but the fresh handprints around Dongwoo’s neck from being strangled was enough to convict him of physical abuse and even trying to kill Dongwoo.

With this, Dongwoo was able to get a restraining order. He quit his job and left for the countryside for about two months, telling his neighbors he had moved out, in care Shinwoo came to look for him.

But not the same thing to the landlord though. He needed to be aware of his plan in order to make it all work.

And with that, Shinwoo was deceived and could not get a hold of Dongwoo.

That was how Dongwoo got rid of him for good.

But not exactly for good as he had resurfaced in his life again and was once again driving terror into his heart.
